... well according to The Sun
which I read daily (being in the North, thick, not in work and all that)

beatles records still sell, tinygang, and he still gets paid for em.

and anyway mull of kintyre is a classic

SenoraPostrophe · 01/03/2007 14:23

donnie, I think you are my psychic twin!

Tinker · 01/03/2007 14:24

"I just don't get what's so great about his music since the Beatles"

The Beatles still sell by the shedload.

bundle · 01/03/2007 14:24

I really don't care about this. Unless she wants to chip in to my house-move fund and, well, just hand over one of her many millions

Tinker · 01/03/2007 14:26

But you're reading the thread though bundle

donnie · 01/03/2007 14:26

hey I'd love one of those senorapostrophe!

to be fair there were a couple of half decent wings records....I just can;t think of them!

TinyGang · 01/03/2007 14:26

Yes that Frog song springs to mind.'Bom bom bomb'

I thought Wings were terrible. The Beatles were good but that was over 40 years ago. Are there any people left that need to buy the songs.

Tinker · 01/03/2007 14:27

Jet
Live and Let Die
C Moon (Think I may be alone in liking that one though )

Tinker · 01/03/2007 14:29

But Tiny Gang, new generations discover them all the time. Imagine being a kid and you thought Oasis were good and then you realise they weren't remotely original

southeastastra · 01/03/2007 14:30

he's always touring too, he works really hard. i'd give her a quid

zippitippitoes · 01/03/2007 14:31

no there were no decent wings records and as for mull of kintyre with linda joining in and that co2 fog

bundle · 01/03/2007 14:31

tinker, that's just in case she's reading this and gets out her cheque book..

zippitippitoes · 01/03/2007 14:33

beatles very popular and so is all the beatles retro stuff mugs and such like..I sell them

donnie · 01/03/2007 14:34

you mean that fog was FAKE??????

( shattered illusion emoticon)

Mercy · 01/03/2007 14:34

A fool and his money are soon parted.

There's no fool like an old fool.

blah blah blah

expatinscotland · 01/03/2007 14:35

I think the Beatles are mingers and all their music sucks.

bundle · 01/03/2007 14:35

oh and tinker, HMM once tried to chat my dh up on the Heathrow Express

Tinker · 01/03/2007 14:37

Does your husband dye his hair purple bundle?

TinyGang · 01/03/2007 14:38

Rofl

Marina · 01/03/2007 14:39

bundle, . how long did it take him to recover?
Liverpool Oratorio. Ecce cor meum (tr = Here's My Wallet)

bundle · 01/03/2007 14:40

@ hair (no, he's a bit mousey)

he'd never heard of her (this was pre-Macca days, when she was a lowly tv reporter) and I'd heard of her from my extensive trashy magazine habit.

She told him she was a - ahem - tv producer. and other nonsense. I tell him every now & then he had a lucky escape...

bundle · 01/03/2007 14:41

(she worked on that esther rantzen "spiritual" sunday prog in Southampton. and other kwality stuff.)

marina, he's badly scarred by the experience

littlemissbossy · 01/03/2007 14:43

even he was a Beatle or an old fool
no-one needs £200m

OP posts:
TinyGang · 01/03/2007 14:45

I do

Cloudhopper · 01/03/2007 14:45

Aw, I think he really fell in love with her. I'm not convinced that she was a gold-digger. Maybe it was just old fashioned romance that has gone horribly sour now.

I do feel more sorry for him, inexplicably. Just because his kids never liked her, and he has made a right old fool of himself over it all.
