Michael Barrymore I mean. The story about the guy found dead in his swimming pool, well it is back in the news as you might already know. I just find him creepy and repulsive. Anyone else feel the same?

OP posts:

Then there was the head and facial injuries and the possibility he had drowned in his own blood....and the marks indicating asphyxiation...

BarrymoreIsAPerv · 03/12/2006 21:51

Why won't anyone come forward and say anything? there is someone being VERY protected methinks.

7swansaswimmingup · 03/12/2006 21:53

did he have all those other injuries as well! didnt know that about head injuries. well someone knows what happened and unless they start torturing people it might never come out

ellesbells · 03/12/2006 21:54

i dont like the man but from what i gather, there was a hospital technician who came forward for the inquest and said that when the bloke arrived at hospital he wasnt breathing and was cold so,during the resussitation, probes were stuck up his arse to test his body temp. this, he said would not have been done gently due to the fact that they were trying to get him breathing....not sticking up for mb but that was my understanding of the anal injuries. cant find the table leg reference anywhere.

Quadrophenia · 03/12/2006 21:55

I hate the fact that you can be protected by silence bang them all up then somone will start talking. they are my wise and inhumane words of the evening.

WestCountryLass · 03/12/2006 21:55

Allegedly.

BarrymoreIsAPerv · 03/12/2006 21:57

I didn't know about the head injuries either. Bad news. Something VERY bad happened that night and I can't believe no one is saying anything.

I read the article/link and it plays down all the 'horrific' so called injuries saying there weren't any??

What I do know is, a friend of mine some years back told me MB was gay, she (allegedly) knew this because her brother was studying medicine down south and apparently MB used to often pick up male medical students (and apparently DID prey on them pretty heavily to the point where he was 'allegedly' seen as a pest in the places they frequented) in order to have sex with them and do drugs (don't know how, but allegedly at that time med students had pretty open access to all sorts of weird and wonderful drugs and often saw it as perks of the job type thing...?). Anyway, about 3 months after she told me all this he 'came out' about being gay so clearly a part of it was true.... but maybe not all of it?? Who knows....

kittyschristmascrackers · 03/12/2006 22:37

I should think that a lot of stars are sex pests, why lynch barrymore?

WestCountryLass · 03/12/2006 22:59

The links I posted do conflict in their information, but that is the point, that there is so much conflicting info (there were/wern't head injurties, the expert witness being discredited etc, there were/weren't anal injuries etc etc).

It is up to individuals to form their own opinions, until the truth comes out.

Tortington · 03/12/2006 23:01

repulsive. no. sad. broken.unfunny, fucked up, loser, a deeply unhappy human being whom i truly pity.

MerryChristmasfromQV · 03/12/2006 23:07

Thats a rather odd stance to take kitty? We are privvy to these similar actions of other stars, how can we comment?

Just because it happens behind closed doors with others doesnt mean we should turn a blind eye to this man's "indiscretions" at the risk of it being "unfair" on him. The others are just "lucky" not to have been caught out. So far.....

MerryChristmasfromQV · 03/12/2006 23:08

arent privvy....

notasheep · 03/12/2006 23:12

I dont warm to him

kittyschristmascrackers · 04/12/2006 07:31

merrychristmasqv, but we know it's happenening all over the place don't we. Should we lynch someone as if their's is the only indescresion ever to be commited in this way?

I suppose I am just really suprised by the whole tone and angle of this thread. It amazes me that that so many people seem to care either way. What I also cannot fathom is this whole idea of being empathetic towards individuals with whom I have no connection.

I can feel empathy with those with whom I have a direct connection. I can feel sympathy with those I do not know, but empathy no, perhaps the two words are being confused.

kittyschristmascrackers · 04/12/2006 07:32

Excuse typos this morning

MerryChristmasfromQV · 04/12/2006 10:14

Well, I dont think the issue is whether someone else has committed a crime before, and whether or not they were found out for it. The issue is that he did (allegedly ). Its not relevant whether he is the first or last to. Except that hopefully it would put other "stars" off thinking that they are 'big/famous/powerful enough' to get away with whatever the like.

It would make a mockery of our own justice system if we treated everyone else in this way, after all, wouldnt it?

He doesnt need a champion for his cause at all. He can afford all the lawyers he needs to deal with this. Stuart Lubbocks family cannot - why should they either? They have to rely on a criminal justice system whose hands are tied in many respects.

kittyschristmascrackers · 04/12/2006 10:16

No, he certainly doesn't need a champion for his cause.

7swansaswimmingup · 04/12/2006 16:15

lets face the whole justice system is fucked up. killer drivers only get 18months, murderers dont get a lot more do they.

ChristmasCandleIsLit · 04/12/2006 16:16

Never like Barrymoore. Find him creepy and sly.

peanutbutter · 04/12/2006 16:22

I pity him. And I don't enjoy feeling that about another person but I do pity him. Like custardo said, he's broken and fucked up. Saw him on sharon osbourne's show I think it was, and it seemed every fibre of him was screaming entertain! entertain! entertain!. But I didn't feel entertained, I felt embarrassed.

How can his career here be anything but over? Wish he would just accept that and move on.

GoodKingWestCountryLass · 04/12/2006 23:11

I know what you mean PB, I felt the same watching him on Celeb BB, when he was doing impressions of nazis and the like, it was embarrasssing.

MamaMaiasaura · 06/12/2006 14:49

He is a very unwell man. It is sad.
