What an awful story. That poor lad was walking down the street minding his own business.

just ghastly. How can people do this to another human being is beyond me.Life really should mean life here IMO.

paulaplumpbottom · 08/11/2006 13:48

Thats just horrific. Can you imagine what his mom must be going through knowing her son died like that? They would have to institutionalize me.

CountTo10 · 08/11/2006 14:02

Another wasted life and for what?? So sad, his poor mum

speedymama · 08/11/2006 14:10

Sickening. At least the perpetrators were caught and convicted. I hope they are looking forward to a long life behind bars.

expatinscotland · 08/11/2006 14:12

This crime well and truly shocked Scotland.

And these people will probably know freedom one day, which makes me sick.

We really, really need a life w/o possibility of parole sentence for capital murderers like this.

B*stards.

expatinscotland · 08/11/2006 14:13

His mother has to live w/knowing her 15-year-old child died alone, hurting and frightened.

As do the 4 siblings left behind.

suedonim · 08/11/2006 15:19

I remember being shocked to the core by this crime. I'm glad these brutes have had the book thrown at them because at one time it looked as though they might evade justice.

saltire · 08/11/2006 15:39

It has been getting a lot of airspace on reporting scotland, as expat said, his mother now has to deal with the facts of how her son died. i was in tears when i heard it on TV. It has really shocked the country

expatinscotland · 08/11/2006 15:41

I think there needs to be some restructuring of the sentences meted out to people like this.

cupcakes · 08/11/2006 15:41

I only heard a snippet of this item initially and was totally shocked when I heard he was 15.
It is disgusting.

saltire · 08/11/2006 19:21

I am watching the programme on BBC Scotland now about it! Shocking

JoolsToo · 08/11/2006 19:25

I heard this today and was very shocked.

Have to say if I'd been the mother of the victim I don't think I'd have wanted to hear all the details of his death

tiredemma · 08/11/2006 19:59

this story horrified me, to hear the brutal way in which this poor lad was killed...

The bastards who did it were filmed laughing and grinning and sticking their fingers up to cameras.
I would not rest until these bastards were made to suffer for what they did.

hulababy · 08/11/2006 20:06

Let's hope parole never find them suitable for release on license. At the moment they denying it, if they keep going that way, they'll stay inside. Hopefully no one will suggest anything other to them.

The poor boy I heard his friend, who was with him at the start, talking about it on the radio.

southeastastra · 08/11/2006 20:08

it's absolutely awful, really upsetting

JoolsToo · 08/11/2006 20:09

essentially he was tortured wasn't he?

bastards!

saadia · 08/11/2006 20:34

Agree with expat, these people should never be freed. What that poor boy endured is beyond words.

expatinscotland · 08/11/2006 23:28

Also these loser thugs had been terrorising the Asian community for years before they committed this act.

In fact, they have other charges against them - as well as past convictions - for extortion, drug dealing and assualt.

They had a pattern of abducting people - although it appears Kriss was the first white person they did this to - and assualting them, presumably for extortion purposes.

Women were coming into the Islamic Relief charity shop in the area in utter fear of these criminal punks.

They should NEVER, EVER be let out again.

They're scum.

cowmad · 08/11/2006 23:37

am thinking this will all end in an awful race riot at some time....
police are practising for it...

poor woman
feel so sad for her and her family and their community

do think tho she should have been allowed a knife and 30 mins alone with them..
know for sure who would have been walking out alone after that.

expatinscotland · 08/11/2006 23:39

i don't think there'll be a race riot and i certainly don't hope so!

so does kriss's mother, who has done nothing but plead for calm.

more innocent people would get hurt and that's the last thing that community needs.

i truly hope they continue working together now that these low lives are OUT of their community.

cowmad · 08/11/2006 23:56

xpat your are so right
but they are practising cos it has been predicted..

AitchTwoOh · 09/11/2006 00:01

i know someone who was on the jury for the first trial, the guy who didn't run away to Pakistan. the guy i know has never got over it, is still obsessed with the case, he told me there is so much more terrible, terrible detail to come out that the press haven't been able to report. (also told me that the police knew what had happened and who had done it less than thirty seconds after the boy was snatched, which makes the police look pretty inept as the boy was alive for a hellish long time after the kidnap.)

AitchTwoOh · 09/11/2006 00:03

cowmad, what a terrible thing to say. the mother has said that justice has been done, what would the point be of giving her a knife and 30 minutes alone with them? and i don't think there will be a race riot as it happens, the community is trying its best to pull together in the face of wankers from the BNP who have turned up to cause trouble.

cowmad · 09/11/2006 00:04

its not a terrible thing to say
i would want that choice

AitchTwoOh · 09/11/2006 00:07

it is a terrible and stupid thing to say, and that's precisely why you don't get the choice.
