Just heard this on BBC News 24.

I hope everybody is ok.
What on earth?!!

Second one's just walked in. He left his phone at home. I'm very relieved, but thinking about those who aren't so lucky. It's awful news.

mrscumberbatch · 29/11/2013 23:55

No link Pacific... I have friends that are there right now, being treated for shock but keeping everyone updated via FB

PacificDogwood · 29/11/2013 23:55

Agent Smile

PacificDogwood · 29/11/2013 23:56

Oh good grief, mrsc, I hope they are all alright {hug}

Annunziata · 29/11/2013 23:57

Managed to get all mine, thank God.

MyTARDISAndI · 29/11/2013 23:57

Glad both your DS's are ok Agent.

Thoughts with everyone else, hope you all get good news soon.

Casmama · 29/11/2013 23:58

I was just in glasgow city centre- top of Buchanan st and left about 11.20- I knew nothing about it till I saw a text from my husband on the way home so please try not to worry if you haven't heard from people as likely they are fine and totally unaware

RhondaJean · 29/11/2013 23:58

Very good news agent and annunziata. Im relieved for both of you.

PacificDogwood · 29/11/2013 23:58

Oh good, Annunziata Smile

everybodysang · 29/11/2013 23:58

This is horrible. Have played gigs at the Clutha, was very much our local. Now live far away but friends still drink there. I am shaking.

scotswoman · 29/11/2013 23:58

Apparently the band members who were playing tonight are ok, hoping that there's a pre christmas miracle and everyone else is alive too

mrscumberbatch · 29/11/2013 23:59

They are fine thanks Pacific, just horrified and full of adrenaline.
You badly want to help in these situations but there's bugger all that they can do.

PacificDogwood · 30/11/2013 00:01

Oh, I know, there's a certain 'high' in being involved in a disaster and walking away from it. It'll take them some time to recover from this even if physically ok.

It is beginning to sound as if there won't be many/any deaths
Here's hoping.

Strength and courage to all those involved including all the emergency services.

Annunziata · 30/11/2013 00:03

If anyone's DC are on Sauchiehall St or Bath St the news seems to just be getting through, and apparently there are some taxis but not many. DD says the town seems very very quiet.

Love to anyone still waiting.

RhondaJean · 30/11/2013 00:04

There's some lovely stories starting to come through on the news about people helping each other to get out.

Mignonette · 30/11/2013 00:04

Relief- I have just heard from her and she is trapped by the cordon but unharmed and safe.

I wish that everybody else could get this news. Realistically I know that won't happen. Sad

PacificDogwood · 30/11/2013 00:06

So glad for you, Mignonette - hope you get a good sleep now.

I suppose lots of people in other parts of town with struggle to get home tonight if they are relying on transport.

RhondaJean · 30/11/2013 00:06

That's fantastic.

Is anyone left still waiting to hear from people?

scottishmummy · 30/11/2013 00:07

At such times it's public services staff who spring into action

mrscumberbatch · 30/11/2013 00:09

Glad to see you Scottishmummy.

ThatWasPoo · 30/11/2013 00:12

Just shocked at those twitter feeds where the journo's are begging for pics.....have a bit of compassion at such a scary time.

Thoughts going out to everyone involved. Hope everyone is ok.

PacificDogwood · 30/11/2013 00:19

It'll be a long night for a lot of public servants tonight.

Yes, some rather undignified scrambling for pics on Twitter Hmm

LilyAmaryllis · 30/11/2013 00:20

We haven't heard back from LoserNoMore - hope your DP is OK.

Mignonette · 30/11/2013 00:21
