I am sure they will be fine annunziata.

Police have tweeted confirmation it's their helicopter. I've lit a candle for everyone involved.

My bf was there tonight, can't get hold of him at all. Hoping he's went elsewhere and battery is just dead.

A+E at the Royal will be even more chaos than usual tonight then...

Oh my god. I was supposed to have been going there tonight to meet people for my uni's Christmas night out, but we spoke today and rearranged for next Fri instead. I was actually annoyed earlier because I'd been looking forward to it. I can't believe this. Totally shocked. And crying.

Jesus Christ. This is terrifying/heartbreaking. Hope everyone's okay.

I'll say a prayer too no more.

It's too close to home annunziata - I was just about to let dd 14 come to the cathouse next Friday with her friend and her mum to see a band, I know this is a huge rarity but my head is racing with new what ifs.

All of you please post when your friends and loved ones turn up?

Am the other end of the country but to everyone affected. Bloody awful.

It sounds like the police helicopter was doing a search following the m74... Very low.

There was no fire and apparently the engine was sputtering so presuming engine failure. I would imagine that the pilot tried to ditch in the Clyde. (Clutha is on the banks)

Very frightening. I am hoping for the best possible outcome

Report
PacificDogwood · 29/11/2013 23:47

Agent, some good news. Are they not together then?

Annunziata thinking of you too

Report
Mignonette · 29/11/2013 23:47

I will when I hear because I like to know that other folks loved ones are accounted for.

Ewe I am glad you changed your night but rather alarmed that this pub is a Uni hang out because of my niece.

Am going to go to bed. Nothing I can do but hope tomorrow brings good news for all and that nobody has been lost.

Report
PacificDogwood · 29/11/2013 23:48

Ah, attempting to ditch it in the Clyde and coming up short would explain it

No word about the pilots Sad

Report
AgentProvocateur · 29/11/2013 23:49

No, both out separately with friends. One I've not heard from was at fratellis gig at O2 academy. I'm worried he's walked back into town and popped in for a drink.

Report
MsUumellmahaye · 29/11/2013 23:50

hope all you folks waiting for news get good news soon

Report
mrscumberbatch · 29/11/2013 23:50

30 hospitalised and one in critical condition is the latest Hmm

Report
RhondaJean · 29/11/2013 23:52

Agent isn't the O2 curfew 11 so it would already have happened before he got out but he's possibly caught up in what I would imagine is the surrounding chaos, there's a massive cordon now, I don't know if or how public transport will be affected etc.

Report
PacificDogwood · 29/11/2013 23:53

Transport/traffic will have ground to a halt, I'd imagine.

30 hospitalised? Have you got a link, mrsc?

Report
mrscumberbatch · 29/11/2013 23:54

Street diverted from glassford street. No traffic going across the bridge. Fire engines and emergency services literally lining up the length of the bridge
