If he is guilty, I hope he gets the death penalty.

I wonder what on earth was going on that made him do that? If indeed he did.

Nothing shocking in this. They just needed the evidence to get him indicted.

Nothing shocking in that the husband was arrested. He was the chief suspect from the get go, but no arrest could be made - until hopefully they've got enough evidence for an indictment. It's common that a suspect isn't arrested until this happens - if it ever does at all - hence, I'm not shocked by his arrest.

I used to work as a court clerk in a criminal law court is all. And then I moved to civil, which was worse!

I thought about the financial aspect right away. I'm sure the police did as well. They seemed to lead a VERY expensive lifestyle for two 20-somethings, especially in one of hte most expensive states in the country and w/her being an unemployed teacher. I thought, 'If one or both of them doesn't have a lot of family money behind them, I'll bet they have a lot of debt.'

Debts can cause a lot of murder/suicides or murders, unfortunately.

Just read about this on msn this morning. Such a terrible thing. You wonder how people can go over the edge like that, and yet it happens with appalling frequency.

yeah it all seemed a bit odd really, i mean, if your partner and child were murdered, i mean, you would want to be there wouldn't you? not run off to england surely?

and he was not at the funeral either - the article of which made me really upset, they buried them together in the same casket.

thing that really got me is that the little baby would have lived for a few minutes after being shot as she was hit in the abdomen.

Lacy Peterson. The woman who went missing on Xmas Eve when she was 7.5 months pregnant. They found her body in a lake, along w/that of her unborn son. Her husband then tried to slip away to Mexico. I think he got the death penalty. It was in California. He'd been having an affair.

That was horrible. What an evil man.

It was vile, wasn't it? The way he lied and lied to cover it up whilst everyone was looking for Lacy and her little baby.

Oh, it's not just men, Susan Smith murdered her two young sons by driving her car off a pier w/them strapped into their car seats. Then blamed it on an unknown black assailant who had carjacked her. All b/c she had been dating a man who didn't want kids.

yeah there was another woman who threw her children into a pier in the US, because apparently voices told her to do it. i think the youngest was 18mo, they all drowned.

Oh and there was that freak in texas, married to someone at nasa, who killed their children one day (like 4 or 5 of them) then called him at work to tell him what she'd done. Wacko.

Pity there's no death penalty in Mass.

Petersen did it because he didn't want to pay child support... so he killed them.
