OFM you can only do your best.
swan My dh also hard work at the moment. He is pretty down (nothing specific) which comes and goes. I remind myself it is not personal and plod on. I was watching one of those Tribal Wives programmes. The western woman asked the tribal woman whether she loved her husband, the wife was surprised and said 'of course I do, he provides for me' nothing else seemed to be required. Maybe its easier to look at it that way .

Enough musing time to go.

Morning all
Still have shoulder pain I think it's a trapped nerve! Terrible night's sleep dreamt I had slept with someone from work that I hate Yuck!
Need to book a dentist appointment back tooth playing up as well!
OFM & Swan DH down in the dumps as his back is still hurting. I also think we brought a too soft bed which is contrubuting to his back pain and my shoulder! He has forgiven me and been very sweet about it as we can't go out and buy another, it's only 2 years old. I agree with Ruby male or female you want a partner thats thinks about taking care of you. It is tough when money worries add stress & strain but you've got to work them out together & push forward. I watched 'Mary Queen of the Shops' and she really heped that couple stay together it was lovely.
Back in a mo with a list.

Morning all

I know what you all mean about DH's - Much as I love mine, he drives me potty and gets me mad most days.

Another busy day for me

To Do

  • Dry dark clothes
  • wash light coloured clothes
  • wash pink coloured clothes
  • DD to nursery
  • I have a meeting to look around and fill in paperwork for school placement today. Feeling a little aprehensive but I don't know why - It'll be fine.
  • Pack overnight bag for DD who is going to grandmas to sleep tonight
  • Me to dogs for end of course night out from sign language - will be the last time I see the group as I can't do the next course
  • Put together paperwork needed for pre-course prep day as this is happening the day I come back off holiday
  • Arrange for other grandma to have DD tomorrow so I can pack bags (DH playing cricket!) - I don't know when he's gonna get his packing done
  • Pack kitchen things for holiday - its in a static caravan park so need to take our own cleaning and cooking things
  • Clean out fridge of food not going to use before we go away - either bin or freeze
  • Find out booking reference paperwork from filing cabinet
  • Wrap fathers day present for my dad to take with me tomorrow and for DH to open on Sunday before we go on race for life
  • Arrange what time we are picking up my friend for race for life

I'm really hoping today is a 48 hour day - back later

A lovely Friday afternoon in a nice tidy house! what could be better?

Dd's singing lesson cancelled this week, v good news -no rushing around at all here, we have been to the park, admired the Mufti wearers, now eating flapjacks and watching telly!
Eggs boiling for egg and cress sandwiches, sausages later for tea too.

ds2 has wrtten a long incomprehensible story about himself, Mount Doom and a busstop as Fther's Day present for dh.

Will now continue upstairs drawer sort

Good morning - I used to be on this thread a long time ago under another name. I gave up MN but am now hooked again. Unfortunately, my addiction is making it harder for me to motivate myself to tackle boring household stuff... Wolfcub - sympathies. I had that in the middle of the night with DD last week and it is so not nice to deal with!!

To do:
-Motivate self to go for a quick swim while kids still asleep and DH here
-Text friend about playdate. She normally messes me around and I need to take control.
-Come back and face the mess!

Swan yay for the tidy house

Wolf oh dear not the best start to the day......

morning all, I have got up and tidied the shed, after the useless shelving unit fell over yesterday spilling toys everywhere! Have now screwed the unit to the side of the shed wall. and retidied it all. The shed did need sorting I have just been putting it off for ages. Still done now.

Have also measured the odd bits of carpet I have stored in there ready to put them on freecycle in a bit.

to do today;
put carpet on freecycle
tidy and hoover all of downstairs
wash floor
iron
wash up
breakfast
lunch
dinner
get out meat for toms dinner
menu plan for next week
PGCE paperwork
CRB form
ds to swim lesson
go strawberry picking if weather is still dry
go to fruit shop

BBL I am off to get breakfast sorted. have good days all

oh dear I was feeling grumpy, but now I feel a bit better reading your upbeat message.
Dylsmum you really are a ray of sunshine
must make some lunch for everyone and not get bogged down with arguing

Kitchen still tidy,
garden still tidy
ds2 wet his bed, it is stripped
wash on
got dd to lay table
ds2 to do some clothes washing (not the sheets that would be mean)
sorted out three arguments
made ds2 go in the garden to calm down
sat in garden detoxing

now need to make some meatballs, tom sauce made already.

Wolf the scatlogical side of life as a mum is underestimated. Tg we love our children so.

Maamruby poor you - eye infections are horrible. Hope it's getting better.

Couldn't find swimming costume so did a workout instead. Feel energised now...until I look at everything that needs doing and don't know where to start! I'll break it down into little bits..

1)DD meds
2)Dishwasher - empty and fill
3)Put clean laundry away
4)Hang yesterday's load

Hello Everyone

Welcome back just13moreyearstogo

Had a brilliant night last night with girls from sign language class at the dogs - it was empty so got comfy seats in front row and no queue to bet - And I didn't win a penny - but it was good all the same. Also sorted out sending my Ipod to be fixed - will cost £125 for the priviledge though - DD is definately not using it ever again!!

Done so far

  • Picked DD up from grandmas and taken to dance class
  • dropped DD off at other grandmas (who she hasn't seen for ages) to spent the day with and go and see great grandma whilst I pack
  • lunch had
  • washing on
  • Been to see physio - can take the illuminous tape of my shoulder and neck (that was fun co-ordinating with outfit yesterday) and she seems happy although as its ligament damage will take a while to get back to normal

To Do
  • Pack
  • Tidy round
  • Get running gear out for race for life tomorrow
  • Pack car up so we can leave straight after race for life tomorrow
  • Pick up DD
  • Physio stretches to try to minise re injuring my hip/knee

Hoping to be back tonight if not I'll be back in two weeks either refreshed at a relaxing holiday or stressed at two weeks with DH, DD and In-laws
