evening all. Have been in school today so not much housework done;
tidied hoovered
dinner
wash up
washing out
washing in

When we got home the trampoline was on the doorstep- cue 2 very excited children . They have been after one since we moved, I keep teling them I couldn't afford one so they had no idea it was coming. I spent ages building it- it was like a gym session just to build it! Dd was on it 5 mins and she hurt her leg. She has been hobbling around since, think she has hurt herself as it wasn't her usualhysterical falling over cry when she did it. She wouldn't stand on it at first, has me worried. Its not swollen/bent weird or anything like that. she is starting to put weight on it again and hobbles a few steps, so have put her to bed and hope she'll get up ok in the morning.

Wendy- I struggled to do six lengths in january when I first first to go swimming without dd so I can actually swim. Its definately something that gets better each time you go.

Swan hope you got the homework sorted by now. My ds is the same as yours with the football, I have never known him so interested- I missed HOlby tonight as he was watching the football

can't remember anymore now, so tired am going to bed in a minute I think

Will try and catch up tomorrow

Dyls hope dd okay, please get a net if you haven't one already (ds1 broke his wrist falling off) not for your own kids mind you, it's just worth it not to have to closely supervise the visiting children when they are on it. Three trampolines round here, all the parents say it is best purchase ever. Our garden is too small and uneven though, and has climbing frame already.

I went to bed early last night and left kitchen in horrible state (went to PA meeting till 9pm), but as a result was able to do loads of routine first thing without feeling like death warmed up

Children at school in good humour
today looks like:

DENTIST two hours nearly finished ££££ or should I say £££
piano afternoon
football tv/piano/cafe
home for supper - "macaroni fish" as ds2 calls it
Beavers/Brownies/football

lots more I am avoiding but will think about it tomorrow!

poor dh is being held hostage by a lego crazed son at moment, his every waking hour is now spent having to assemble things as our neighbour gave us two unused old kits, and a godmother sent a Space Police thingy. Once ds2 starts he is unable to think of anything else...it is very sweet, unless you are trying to get him to put his second sock on and get him out the door

Swan good luck at dentists.
we have a net I refuse to let them on one without nets, I fell off a trampoline at school, lucky no broken bones but it HURT!

dd still refusing to walk this morning so went to a&e just to get her checked. she loved having the xrays- but was upset we couldn't bring her pics home with her. She is ok, nothing broken just sore, been told to dose her with calpol and encourage her to walk and she should be fine in a couple of days.
tips to get her to stop dragging herself along like a bottom shuffler would be great

WEndy hope you got swimming in the end.

to do
take dd to nursery for graduation photos
meet up with friends
tidy
hoover
dust
tidy kitchen
wash up
make beds
take dd to toy shop if she has her photos done

rebook plumber who came while we were in a&e

Hi all
Just avoiding working on school planning
Didn't get swimming, but did do lots of chores and sorted out Father's Day gifts for my Dad (tickets for me and him to see Rat Pack show) and DH's dad (tickets for DH and his dad to see Spamalot) so was pleased!
Also took DD to the a country park - lovely picnic, play at play area and bike ride, how lovely to feel like a normal person again with a bit of energy - I feel human today!
Anyway I did end up swimming a bit as we went to DD's lesson and it was cancelled that's the second time they haven't informed us!! The pool was quiet so I got some swimming in whilst they played.

Had lovely risotto made in the slow cooker for tea - much nicer than usual risotto, even DS (a rice disliker! LOL) gobbled it up!

Right, best plan my lessons for tomorrow, and have an early night.

Good night friends

ruby, not seen tm on here for a bit, but she is on my twitter and I nose on her blog occasionally, she is about but busy. Glad you got to meet great nephew.

I haven't got much done today headache/stomach cramps and v. tired. Still did take dd to nursery for her photos, took lots of coaxing but got some eventually, although she wouldn't wear the graduation cap/gown, the childrn that did looked soo sweeet. But was nice to see it wasn't just dd that said no. She is hobbling about a bit on her leg, much more than before so that is good.

I took dc to the elc to choose a present for being brave at hosp. and having photos taken at nursery. She picked some moon sand. I picked a few other craftty bits up to do with dc as well, they had a sale on and I got a further 20% off as I signed up to the birthday club. So vry impressed with savings.

tomorrow I WILL do more housework

Booked some driving lessons!!![but have now lost licence - some dark procrastinatory magic here] to convert from automatic to manual driving for hols (don't ask - complicated)

Tooth playing up, went to bed at 8.30 yest after Beavers (tree identification - which was actually great fun but took it out of me)
It is soo lovely in my moderately tidy bedroom away from kids - better than any hotel room
dh took over, but as a result kitchen perfectly yuk this morning

found cat in sink eating spaghetti

Wendy sounds perfect day
oh dear I have been very neglectful of dh, didn't even remember Father's Day - need to get kids to do some sort of effort towards?

off to work now, when I've done some more rescuing, and ordered new licence

Morning all, Beautiful day here! Decided to work first then post. So tea break for me now.
MC I'm going to follow your example and get to the gym hell or high water. My shoulder hurts too but not to the point I need to go to the G.P
Huge mistake on Tuesday put hot Cayenne Pepper in my pumpkin soup instead of Paprika. I spent 1 hour making that at 10pm and it has now gone down the loo. I had hoped DH to be able to give DS a healthy meal on Wednesday while I went to the gym. he ended up giving him Pizza & salad!
New job a little boring but no stress & can get off in time to go to the gym fab.
Back in a mo with list.

I think I've used up my tears quota for the week now, have been crying over
printer malfunction
dvla malfunction - online licences NEVER AGAIN
password malfunction

think tooth is to blame, hopefully, not madness

NEVER DO THINGS ONLINE they always drive you barmy.

hot soapy water may cheer me up, scrubbing in order
feel v depressed about all these things I keep losing

Nutty easily done, sympathy, how annoying

Makingchanges · 17/06/2010 11:22

nutty at least he got salad - my DH would just have given Pizza. DD is insisting on lunch so stopping to eat so will catch up now. Went to the gym yesterday for my last training session before race for life - had a reoccurring strong stitch so didn't get much done - came out quite upset, and dispite menuplanning, sticking to my points religiously and going to the gym three times last week, I only lost a pound on Tuesday, and my shoulder is still strapped and still hurting.

I think its good to have that attitude nutty - otherwise I just find that I would put doing the ironing before the gym and would never get there. We go on hols on Sunday for two weeks and I've asked one of the staff at the gym to put together a program I can do at night whilst on holiday - i'm gonna try and keep running as well and hire a bike.

Swan Hope you find your licence and your tooth is better today.

Dyls ELC bargains sound good - hope you are feeling better today

wendy glad you are feeling better - country park sounds like a fab time, and good pressies for fathers day.

Right hello to everyone else and back to it for me

Feeling better now,
done some serious clearing of kitchen, and put burnt fish pan to boil with washingpowder

and Ds2 was one of 6 chosen to put their local history projects up on the wall , apparently because he knew the difference between Early Victorian and Late Victorian!!!
garden is looking good too

afternoon all

swan things like on-line forms etc drive me nuts! still seem to spend my life doing stuff on-line though. Find the phone worse though....

nutty and mc your gym efforts are truely impressive

everyone-else HI

feeling bleugh today
DH totally irritating me on an hourly basis...not good

Money seriously tight,as always

Stressed about job interview next week. DH keeps on about how vital is it that I get the job (yep we're skint, I dont need reminding) and how I need to prepare...(hmm,ok like when exactly??!)

So today I'm on strike. House a total tip. Breakfast things still not done. Have spent morning playing with dc and now am going to spend afternoon reading textbooks....will tell dh he may as well get used to it cause thats how it will be when I'm out at work everyday and not here cleaning upafter everyone!

also have shocking hayfever, really red bulging streaming eyes....look like an alcoholic in a bad way....will be great for my interview next week....off to take large dose of antihistamines...

OFM - I'm sure he was just expressing faith in your professional skills, and how good he knows youwill be at the job.

Anyway you are not extravagant - so you know he is really just stressed about his job and somehow transfering the stress onto you, anyway its the last thing you need But he probably doesn't mean it the way you think, just showing enthusiasm for your job, and showing he's going to back you up domestically when you get it.

Even if their idea of "domestic backup" differs from ours

Sorry about hayfever - I remember you suffering last year at Sportsday x 3.

OFMit is difficult isn't? I've been thinking a lot about all this husband stuff recently, and how difficult it is to be a team not two people in a wrestling match
I think we often marry people very different to ourselves, which is good, but then sometimes it is impossible to understand why or how they do things.

Thnking about my friend in Hexham who never seems to bicker or fight with her husband (they had four dcs). Yet she said to me that sometimes she absolutely hates him, which amazed me because they seemed to have made that team thing work.

Anyway I really have to try harder with dh. Who annoys me enormously but does all these amazing things for the family.
