Still waiting for DH to finish work

wastingaway · 14/04/2010 22:31

Ooh Freak!

I've had a mostly crappy day, DS has been whinging and whinging, he started to fall asleep on me after lunch, so I got him in his buggy and he proceeded to giggle all the way round Morrisons and get progressively more and more ratty as the afternoon went on.

Then I thought it would be a good idea to put him into his grobag after boob, rather than before like usual, and he of course roused as I did this and moaned for a few minutes til I went in, but I just sat next to his cot and he settled, and was still awake when I left, so that's progress.

I've been cross-stitching. I started it in 1993 and it only needs a few bits adding and that'll be one present off the Christmas list done.

Tomorrow -

  • cut DS fingernails!
  • get the paperwork sorted
  • big welcome home for DH
Alicetheinvisible · 15/04/2010 08:41

DH got in at about 10.20pm, we're both knackered this morning and can't really have quiet days

TO DO
Need to get dressed
DD creamed and dressed (eczema looking much better)
Turn horses out
Take library books back
Go to park to meet friend
Pop into M&S to get some lunch bits for tomorrow
Lunch
Make cakes/biscuits
Take some cake to DH at the sales office
Do horses
Dinner
Early bath and bed for everyone!

FreakoidOrganisoid · 15/04/2010 09:04

Anyone still interested?

wastingaway · 15/04/2010 09:33

YES!

FreakoidOrganisoid · 15/04/2010 09:38

Ok

When I saw wc (need another abreviation wc is not a good one!) on sat he'd said that he had got his legs out early this year and was wearing shorts for work (which led to me staring at his legs in front of his dc ). So yesterday when it was freezing with no sign of sun I text him and told him he must have scared the sun away by getting his legs out. He said he must have but was still in shorts so I said he was brave because I was freezing. Then he said that it was a bit cold around the privates in the mornings but otherwise ok

Then we arranged for him to come over last night after his ds was in bed...

FreakoidOrganisoid · 15/04/2010 09:49

LOTS of texts through afternoon & eve, some a bit flirty.

His ds didn't go to sleep til nearly 10 though (was excited to be with daddy) so he came over after that, we had a couple of beers and chatted til he left at around half twelve Oh and I also gave him some handcream for his sore hands.

Nothing else, not even a hug or peck on the cheek when he left. Was nice to have the company though.

But! He doesn't like wine Not sure I can consider him as a potential suitor if he doesn't like wine

(and he also uses excessive lol in texts)

wastingaway · 15/04/2010 09:59

Men generally say they don't like wine, he'll come round.

DH home later.

Right, I need to -

  • drink coffee
  • 15 mins kitchen
  • paperwork!
cikecaka · 15/04/2010 10:00

LOL Freak!, Maybe it is better to start off as friends and work your way from there. DH and I were friends for years before we suddenly realised there was something there, cue being engaged within 10 months, pregnant within 9 months, married in 2 and a half yrs. Still as happy 13yrs down the line

FreakoidOrganisoid · 15/04/2010 10:17

cc

There wasn't the same amount of tension last night (maybe because I am now past ovulation and not so hormonal??) but it was v easy chatting to him and we covered a fair bit of ground. He also said when he had a bit of time free he'd take ds to the park and play football with him

Had 2 texts after he left last night and one this morning (with kisses).

FreakoidOrganisoid · 15/04/2010 10:18

Really need to make a list! Am v tired though, ds had me up 3 times and then at 6.15

Afternoon! DS still won't let me do anything productive, but I did produce a rather good train track for Thomas and Annie to whizz round earlier.

I now have to keep him from bringing the outside toys inside, plus -

  • drink more coffee
  • try and sort the paperwork
  • hoover downstairs
  • check if seedlings need watering
  • put a load in to wash
FreakoidOrganisoid · 15/04/2010 14:41

Wasting ds is in a crazy mood and is chucking stuff everywhere, in my knackered state all I have achieved is getting us fed and picking up toys every so often to clear a path.

DD is practising doing her hair she is making it really matted.

Plum I am a leeetle confused about that too tbh, he has only just moved out of the family home. Talked about his ex but has never actually said he has a gf was just the if I was single text that made me think he must have...and the fact he hasn't made a move on me

wastingaway · 15/04/2010 18:12

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 15/04/2010 19:08

Hello ladies! I am still at MIL's, have had a really nice time actually and I was planning to go home tomorrow.

BUT - DH is stuck in Malaysia because of all this volcano business so I don't know when he'll be home . So I am going back to my Mum's tomorrow and will go home on Sunday, by which time hopefully DH will at least be on his way.

Feeling v. though because he thought he had managed to sort a direct flight to Paris and he was going to get the train from there but then they shut the airports in Paris too. Boo

Freak - how exciting! Better that he isn't making any moves while the situation with his gf is still unclear. Is a very good sign IMO, last thing you want is to be the shag on the side - and if things do progress between you at some point then you will know you can trust him
I am also a hopeless romantic - DH and I had decided to get married and have children within 5 days of meeting. Can you imagine all the 'ooh he must be a bastard, you're an idiot' type posts I would have got on here if I had said that??
