CC that would make me happy too, people always seem to turn up when my house is at it's worst though!

Shelley copy and paste your list into a new message, I keep mine in a word document to save scrolling through the thread all the time.

Haven't drunk enough today, bit headachey

wastingaway · 12/04/2010 19:04

CC, that's fab! I'd have felt great too.

DH is in dublin. They're working in Belfast tomorrow, then Dublin on Wednesday, so got the return ferry to Dublin.

Right, lovely early bedtime for DS again. So I'm going to see what I can accomplish via short sharp shock lists.

  • sort washing and put away (stick DS in his room and put away tomorrow)
  • hoover downstairs
  • bring bin and recycle box back round
  • take rubbish etc. out

Alicetheinvisible · 12/04/2010 19:31

Evening

Cikecaka only time anyone turns up unexpected at my house i am morbidly ashamed to even open the front door fully

Freak i had a dehydrated headache yesterday, but have been better today and i have drunk half a pint of water since being home.

Did the horses once DH had finished work, but it did mean we were not home til 7pm. Luckily i had cooked up some pasta and mixed it with sweetcorn, tuna and mayo before we left so it was only a case of chuck some in a bowl and sit down

Went to homebase and got this mop not very exciting but thought you may be interested...

Get dressed
Have cup of tea (well, doing)
DD up
Put washload on
Turn horses out
Make beds
Dry washing (hang out?)
Clean hob
Put more washing on
Clean front of kitchen units (bottom ones)
Put washing on airer that didn't dry 100% yesterday
Get DD dressed

PlumBumMum · 12/04/2010 19:51

Wasting your dh could call and see CC, then me He'll be wrecked thats alot of travelling, we once went to my friends wedding in Eastbourne and drove Dublin -holyhead and then right down to Eastbourne, although roads much better from Dublin to Belfast now than then,
He'll be nowhere near my house then

Anyway have got some ironing done and put away, then my friend came and stayed until 7, so must ring dh and see where he is as I haven't made his dinner yet

cc Bet shes away home to clean to keep up with you

Alicetheinvisible · 12/04/2010 20:40

Cheers Wasting

PS; you want your DH to stay away from these women, one makes fab cakes and the other has a tidy, organised hall. Best not to get men's expectations up

I am quite excited about using my new mop. Would be mopping away now if i could actually see my floors......
I have decided that tomorrow morning i shall go to town and get a decent sized laundry hamper with lid for the living room toy box. I have various baskets and boxes for certain toys, but seeing as DD empties everything out on a daily basis i may as well get a huge one and chuck the lot in.

I am useless in the evenings. I think i am going to have to start getting DD to bed for 7pm, so that it is still light and i feel able to do stuff.

wastingaway · 12/04/2010 23:53

Alice, it's really helped me. He has woken up once tonight, which isn't usual, but he did walk a lot today, same as the other night he woke up lots, so hopefully it's just achey legs, bless him.

I've actually finished the sweater!!!
It's a good trick that, 'I'll just do this little bit', then once it was pinned it was no problem to just crack on and sew it all up.

I've got to ang the washing up still though.

See you slatterns in the morning.

Morning ladies

I actually went to bed early last hight(11.30) and was really tired this morning

Need to get cracking on the rest of the
Ironing
finish loading dishwasher and on
put dd1s dance show fees in env

Think it must be the weather but I have been feeling 'better' these days, or maybe its the fact I have just been ignoring my mum and letting her get on with it iyswim,

although she really is doting, I asked her to sponsor me as the dcs and I are walking a mile in memory of dhs baby cousin (remember who died last year) for FSID, after along winded conversation she said,
oh when is it again
and I said next Sunday,
oh I'm going away that day, you said Saturday, I'll not be able to do it, but sure I will just sponsor you instead,
me - ahh yeap just sponsor me,

I suppose you really would need to have heard the conversation but its things like that that drive me mad as she was insistent that I said the walk was on the Saturday and that I had invited her to do it

FreakoidOrganisoid · 13/04/2010 10:55

Alice the lighter evenings help me get stuff done but they also make me feel more alone in a way-when it was getting dark early I'd close the curtains and get under a blanket on the sofa then early to bed but now I kind of feel like I have a few more hours of day to kill without anyone to talk to. That's not a new thing though, was like that with H too!

Don't think wc loves me, haven't heard anything from him. So either
a)he's a bastard
b) he's not a bastard and is steering clear so as not to mess anyone about
c) I did/said something that put him off
d)I never actually acknowledged the text that said if I was single so maybe he doesn't know I like him (I think I am quite obvious though!)
e)It's only been 3 days and I should chill the hell out!

Done
All up etc
washing up
sides wiped
load of washing in
load of washing out
floors mopped
clothes put away
bins out

Going to a friend's for lunch in a bit so most of the afternoon will probably be gone before I get home

Alicetheinvisible · 13/04/2010 11:12

Freak first of all e) and second of all b)

Now chill and enjoy the sunshine!

FreakoidOrganisoid · 13/04/2010 11:30

lol alice

Like I said, I spend far too much time alone and therefore have too much time to think!

Alicetheinvisible · 13/04/2010 11:36

I know that feeling
