Hello,
am skiving today, have been to toddlers and supermarket and that's it. Will also cook dinner and wash up at some point but the rest can wait (so there!). Oh and arse I just remembered I told dd I'd make a cake with her for her to give to H for his birthday tomorrow.

FreakoidOrganisoid · 23/03/2010 15:55

DD was invited to a party on sun 4-6pm right on the other side of town (2 buses to get there, 1 not v regular and not at all on sunday eves). I knew it would be difficult for me to get there so asked H if he'd be able to take her before I accepted the invite. He said yes. Yesterday he told me he'd be away this weekend and it just occured to me about the party so I sent him a text asking if he would be back in time so he could still take her. His reply "I guess not"

what a fucking arsehole, am going to have to get a taxi or something now

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 23/03/2010 16:53

Freak - what a absolute twat he is. I'm afraid I would be tempted to tell DD she couldn't go and tell her it was her Dad's fault. I know that's the wrong thing though! V. for you.

@ Wasting & Freaking thats how I feel and I need to get the laundry room AKA the lounge sorted as fireplace man is coming tomorrow, YEY

And my friends dad is coming to use dhs shed tomorrow so I will have to bring him in for tea, although kitchen isn't too bad

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 23/03/2010 23:03

I know that feeling aswell, house looks alright and then suddenly everything needs cleaning and dusting at once.

Wasting - you need to eat nuts to sort out your skin. They have all the right oils and fats to get rid of dry skin apparently. I keep starting OCMing and then stopping - it is too time consuming and it generates more washing what with all the muslins/facecloths.

I have been working on my cleaning lists this evening. I know it all sounds a bit Flylady, but 90% of my problem is remembering that it's 6 months since I've hoovered under the beds or whatever. I reckon if I have it all written down then it'll be easy because I just have to do it when the spreadsheet says so!
I can share if anyone wants, it is nowhere near as complicated as that Master Plan that Norks posted - a true Slatterns method!

Morning

Freak what a knob! At least it is a good reminder that you are so much better without him!

My house is looking messy again, literally overnight

DD had a bad night last night. Her eczema has flared up and we have some AB cream to put on, but she woke because she was scratching, then got upset because she couldn't find her Goldilocks book with the magnetic 'stickers' so i had to find it for her, then she was desperate for the babybear magnet, and it was all a bit much at 2am. DH was also out at midnight for a call and at 6am, so bloody shattered

We usually go to playgroup on wed mornings, but DD is booked in for a dancing lesson this afternoon, and so because of lack of sleep i don't think i can manage both without enormous quantities of caffeine and sugar! So no playgroup this morning.
DONE
Get up
Get breakfast
Put AB cream on DD (took bribery of chocolate biscuits!)
Write list

TO DO
Get dressed
Get DD dressed and emollient on
Put washload on

Bloody kid! Obviously the lack of sleep hasn't affected her, she is running around completely naked refusing to have clothes put on or a nappy. Wouldn't be a problem except the horses want to go out.

Morning

I'd like to see the cleaning plan lists too Ali. I can CAT you with my email address if you like.

Was off yesterday to Osteopath and Gynae consultant. Sounds like I need an MRI and may need an op to get rid of scar tissue. So unfair. Was a bit sad yesterday but have cheered up a bit . Being a woman is awful sometimes. As if childbirth wasn't enough.

I am feeling like life with young DC's is never endingly exhausting/monotonous. The DC's have colds. DH and I have colds too and both are feeling exhausted. A simple thing like not having potatoes in the house (which leads to dinner making trouble) makes me feel really upset and rubbish.

DD is really poorly with a cough so up alot in the night. Add to that the crap weather and it feels cold.

Sorry for the big whinge but sometimes I feel that you lot are the only ones who understand. I have no family nearby.

Rant over. Hope everyone else is ok.

Wasting - make sure you take EFA's and vit C every day for your skin.

HMHB - have a (((((hug))))) and moan away as much as you like!
At the risk of sticking my beak in, it does sound a bit like you might be slipping to PND. Might be worth a trip to the Drs just for a chat? It is no surprise that you are down with all the stress around going back to work etc.

HMHB it always feels rubbish when you haven't had enough sleep. Any normal day, you can bumble along quite happily. No potatoes? Then we will have pasta, not a problem. But on a bad day, no potatoes means stressy dinner of cereal or sandwiches, mum feeling like a complete failure, noticing all the little unimportant jobs that don't get done (because they are not important) and feeling even worse. If moaning on here helps you let it out and feel better than feel free

Wasting yes it is DD's first class. We are just paying for this one session as a taster and if DD likes it then we will book her in for next term.

Plum I am starting to think you are not a slattern at all, but hey, you must really enjoy our company to keep posting here Hope dd has a great time and you don't worry too much

HMHB my dc had crackers, grapes and yoghurt for dinner last night because I left it too late to put teh chicken in and then just couldn't think!

Ali post it here, we'll all want a look!

Wasting my skin was rubbish, I used weleda skin food at night for a couple of nights and that sorted it. Am now using yes to carrots night cream (really love this!) and boots time delay day and my skin looks pretty good. Also buy this months marie claire because you get a free neals yard moisturiser with it and it is lovely! OCM made my skin shite when I did it but I do use it once every couple of weeks, more of a mask than a wash iyswim.

Freak I really am, I try to do theose things and something else gets neglected,
and I have been sat on here so nothing has got done all day

My problem is I try to get it all done in one day and then crack up that it all seems to need doing again[gggrrrrr] so then I will slum it for awhile and do the bare minium, so a timetable is what I need!!

Still no sign of fireplaceman and he is out on a call, I said yes but he is suppossed to be out on a call AT MY HOUSE!!!!!!

Oh and I do love you all, so when I become a domestic goddess I will still post here!
