We've had a good day. Finally been swimming.

My Uncle has taken the big pram to store for us for the future , so I've lots of room in the backroom now.
And..... he unstuck the bedroom window for us! I'd given up on it, but he brought tools and brute force. Finally I can ventilate our bedroom properly!

Went in greenhouse and found whole new area of doom. Have sent massive bag of old plant pots to recycling. Can't face doing it all at once so planted 2 pots of corgettes and going to hope for the best. One day when I have more energy will go back in greenhouse .

Evening all

Okay I know I said I hated it but have just bee perusing(?) IKEA website,
completely forgot about there flower lamps for wall, dd2 shares a room with ds and I put dd1s groovy chick lights all round bunk beds to make in her bed more girly BUT of course when I plugged them in they didn't work
so ds's room is painted green hills and blue sky with diggers driving round the hills
so if I buy the flower lamps and have them going up the wall were her bed(bottom bunk) is it will not look out of place and give her a little pink den

now off to see if their bookcases are cheaper than argos both dcs rooms need them and then OF COURSE it will help me keep their rooms tidier

I find both Day & Night nurse work wonders for me, though i only take a quarter dose of night nurse (liquid) as i find it can zonk me out for the next day. I also won't take it if DH is away as i worry i won't hear the DC.
During the day i can really tell when it's worn off, breathing, ears, head, etc.

just popped on to say hi. Took DS and his friend to a party today which was tiring all round. DD has a horrible cough now too.

Hmm radiator brush eh. Was thinking ours need a clean. I never did get round to clearing the cobwebs out of the house. Maybe tomorrow.

Evening! I think it's best to go out, even if you don't feel like it to start with.
I've had terrible gutache, nasty trapped wind most of the day, but I'm glad I managed to get myself dressed and go out.

I've a basket full of dirty washing, plus all the usual etc. So I plan to get cracked on tomorrow. Whether I'll feel like that in the morning is another matter!

Hello ladies!

We are back from holidays! Had a lovely time, lots of snow and sunshine so the skiing was fab - I can still do it, was a bit worried that baby weight plus SPD plus c-section tummy muscles might have an effect but no
DS loved the snow and charmed all the staff in the hotel. We were in Italy and they have such a different attitude to children there, much more welcoming and inclusive, makes me a bit sad to be home.
Nice to be back though, I missed my bed, a proper cup of tea, and MN! [middle-aged emoticon]
Only annoyance is that DH injured himself. He has done something to his ribs. I am a bit though because he seems to be able to ski and drive fine, but has been unable to unload the dishwasher or take the bins out since we got home. I have told him he is going to the Drs tomorrow, if he won't go then he can't be that bad and needs to stop moaning and just get on with things. Is that mean?

Ali - sounds like you had a great holiday. I am sceptical of your DH's condition. Sounds like a Man Injury. Can't unload the dishwasher .

HMHB - indeed! He has refused to call the Drs because he is 'much improved'. He is currently sorting out the pipes under the sink which seem to have sprung a leak and started to smell while we've been away so I'm happy enough for now
Glad you have been able to get the house warm etc. Do you have a gas hob or will you be unable to even heat water that way? I think I would be filling hot water bottles and a thermos and retiring to bed once you are in cold and darkness!

• mirrors - buy small mirror for above bathroom sink, big mirror up in bedroom, other mirror up above dressing table
• get new curtains for front room, measure up again
• get garden chairs from MILs garage, think there?s only fold-up ones there, go check
• work out budget/SOA
• buy swimming costume for DS
• Birthdays - SIL, MIL, GM, step-MIL, DS!
