JKS Aqueous calamine cream (not the lotion) and bicaronate of soda in bath
priton & calpol, my ds had them all over bum very sore for you
ds & dd2 especially still have scars, dd2 had a really bad dose and didn't sleep for 2 whole nights

And don't want to worry you but worth ringing doc about ds2 as I am assumming he is classed as a weaker immune system, dd1 takes immunosuppressants and chicken pox is one of the contact doctor immediately scenarios
Although she has had them before so we had a mad dash for bloods to be taken and we had to bring to the hosp ourselves so we could get vaccine quick but turned out she had enough antibodies in her system

Brr am wet and cold but got the gas bill today so there is NO WAY I am putting the heating on (EVER!)

Does anyone know what dhl do with parcels if you aren't in when they try to deliver? Do they put a card through the door? DS' train bits I ordered in DECEMBER have finally been despatched but it said 1-3 days (despatched on weds) and I am going away tomorow morning so might miss it.

Was on bus today with two old men opposite, they were talking about ds' curls then one said to his friend "must have a darkie for a dad" then turned to me and told me he'd just had a new boiler fitted and it was a "darkie" who'd done that! Then he was saying how he'd moved recently and sold his house to "Pakis" and they were lovely people, he'd been in India during the war . I probably should have been offended or something but thought it was quite funny, he was obviously saying it innocently.

JKS - chicken pox good to get out of the way as soon as poss. DS was poorly for a week. Luckily I had gone away to my friends house and he was at home with DH . Lots of calpol and calamine I think. What upset me most was that I took him for a walk the week after and told neighbour that he had chicken pox and she literally crossed over to the other side of the road to avoid him. Never forgotten that.

Freakoid - I'm right with you. Just buying a load of heating oil and its going to be around £500 !
Bus journey sounds amusing. It is funny when folk of a certain age / my dadpeople say offensive stuff and don't realise.

Freak although it is awful too, our neighbours are very old and there grandchildren live in Canada, and she said oh dgc were down in New Orleans and went to one of the church services and she said if you had seen all the n*ers with their fancy hats and all their style on in the church,
I told dh afterwards I didn't know what to say, I was so shocked that they think its ok to say those things
