Apologies for title.

Write lists, chat about stuff, motivate, celebrate and commiserate.

Any list format is acceptable.

Including 'coffee and MN' on to do list is encouraged.

Yessss I was worried about family stuff especially as most of them are very much 'weekends are for family' iyswim. Have about 12-15 people I could invite (the ones I chat to most) so hopefully 5 or 6 would be able to come... If I said 8 pm then they could have family day, put dc to bed and then have a couple of hours off...only prob is if they are away or have other family staying...aaargh!

Alice I try not to turn on til I've done my morning stuff but there's quite often a good excuse to turn on before then

Just having a cup of tea and an -entire-- a slice of malt loaf.

I think if i try not to come on here until i have done the horses, that gives me a good half an hour of doing houseworky stuff before i sit down and get stuck on the computer

most some mornings i was coming downstairs in my pjs and sitting at the laptop having breakfast and ending up not putting a washload on/emptying dishy/doing any housework at all, and still not being dressed until after lunch. Which made me feel bleugh, eat crap and feel miserable.

But now that the horses have moved and i can go twice a day, i tend to get up about 8, DD has breakfast while i put a washload on, empty dishy if it needs it, get my breakfast, get dressed, make beds etc. Then get DD dressed and go to horses about 9.30ish, and feel a lot more in control of everything.

DONE

Have breakfast

Turn horses out and muck out

Ooh, forgot to mention that a friend is coming over on Friday. She is an old school friend who i have only seen once since we were 18, and lovely, but it is a good kick up the bum to get the housework back on track

Alicetheinvisible · 15/03/2010 11:14

Wasting at least it is done now, and you can feel proud of yourself The kitchen is the first place i start as it is my favourite room in the house being so sunny.
DH was looking at a job near you, and i thought how nice it would be if he did work there because at least i would know someone there already

Right, must go, 15mins start NOW>>>>>

cikecaka · 15/03/2010 11:27

I try to leave the kitchen to last because if I start in the kitchen I normally dont move from it. Think the good weather is making us all slack a bit. Monday morning is time to start afresh

Wasting - know what you mean, i didn't do much laundry yesterday and so now i'm behind and that throws me off.

Alice - i tend to do lots of kitchen jobs while the boys eat their breakfast, as i'm not much of a breakfast person anyway, and it does set me up better for the day when machines are on, counters are cleared, etc.

FreakoidOrganisoid · 15/03/2010 12:09

I usually do the basic kitchen stuff first because I feel better if the sides are clear etc. But I mostly ignore the proper cleaning!

Yes HMHB, I don't think they'd all come though! I do have plenty of wine for if they did

Last night I dreamt I was cleaning the floor with a toothbrush

Alicetheinvisible · 15/03/2010 12:59

I hate tidying, but cleaning is fine. The mess is what puts me off most. I'll see something (like cupboard doors) that are sticky and grubby and think "Ooh, they need a clean" then realise it is a bit pointless if you can't even see the worktops iyswim?

We have been easing ourselves into potty training and today DD actually did a wee in the potty. She obviously knows when she is about to go because she crosses her legs and holds herself, so it's a case of watching out for the signs

JustKeepSwimming · 15/03/2010 13:14

Good luck Alice with potty training!

I dunno which i'm worse at cleaning or tidying really, i just procrastinate about everything

[arrrggghhhh] Got curtains for Hall and bedroom, really good bargins, but have decided that hall curtains will be nicer in dining room & bedroom ones nicer in hall

MIL was coming on Wednesday to hem curatins and help paint (I think)
BUT bedroom curtains now don't need hemmed, need sewing together (4 pairs into 2)for hall

And I'm trying to ring her to put her off, I love painting and would prefer to do it myself,
she thinks shes helping but I'm actually really fussy about cutting in etc and I end up doing it anyway if she comes to help

So I'd rather do everything, but I know she is eager to help me decorate and shes off work this week but this week dosen't actually suit me [arrrgggghh]
Sorry no need to read just wanted to rant
