Freaky, that Thorntons offer is seriously tempting. Just trying to think of what birthday presents I need to buy in the next few months.

Today-

• Me up, showered and dressed done
• beds made, windows and curtains open done
• DS up, nappy changed and dressed, then downstairs for boob done
• spatone + OJ + vitamins done
• breakfast done
• condensation patrol done
• laundry - fold dry washing done X2
• coffee + check email and online banking doing
• toddler group done

• prep slow cooker and cook (on high) done
• Tesco delivery - 2-4 done

• Poang corner - 15 mins at a time done for now
• dh corner of bedroom - sort the random crap out, done for now, wash beanbag covers to put into DS room done need extra/new beanbag filling
• toy storage - take most upstairs, bring the nice basket down and rotate the toys that are downstairs
• too small clothes and outgrown toys etc. - sort out what?s to store etc. and bag it up

To Do -

• make compost bin - drill holes in old bin
• plan Christmas 2010, next - decide on one or two gifts I?d like to make, find patterns, instructions etc. and buy materials, have a session looking through craft books and mags, and websites for inspiration
• Let?s go swimming! - buy swimming costume, pack swimming bag
• sort digital photos and order any I want prints of
• Write CV started research CV writing online
• find easy slow cooker recipes started
• paint front door - 1 coat inside
• mirrors - buy a small mirror for above the bathroom sink, big mirror up in bedroom, other mirror up - quite heavy, will picture hook do? No, need to drill and screw
• get new curtains for front room
• shelves in cupboard + clean and anti-mildew paint (project for next Dad visit) - check date Dad gets back

HMHB - that is pretty awful I don't really understand how the situation can have changed so radically unless they have been letting people jump the queue so to speak.
Is there any possibility of you delaying your return to work or is that not an option? Am really for you.

Wasting - figleaves do good swimming costumes, mine has support for the BF-inflated nork.

I am sulking because my nursery just said they can't take DD so no list for me.

alice - i am agreeing with you. this is one step too far and am seriously peed off. I am going to try to get dd in with childminder but she hasn't started yet.

I could delay going back (and I would like to be off longer so it is a good excuse with work) but the nursery probably won't have places even towards the end of the year.

To add insult to injury the owners are close friends of DH but they do not manage the nursery themselves. So annoying.

Off to playgroup in a mo.

and I'm going out to see The Sound of Music tonight and pre show meal with SIL & MIL,
it is the girl who won the Andrew
Loyd webber show so looking forward to that even though I have never seen the Sound of Music

I am still fuming about the nursery. I feel it is so unprofessional of them. Unfortunately we live in a very rural area so CM and nurseries are few and far between.

HMHB i don't know your circumstances, but i know that there is no way i could afford to work and have to pay 2dc's childcare costs, is there any way that it makes more sense for you not to work? Of course you may be dying to get back to work now!
