Hi everyone, Thanks for thread Wolfcub

Dh has taken dd off to violin and music
boys are skulking in shrubbery as we woke a bit late to get them dressed and out

Ds2 and I are constructing a Santa Claus wooden plane kit, and dancing to African Party music whilst glue dries. Truly blissful.

Kitchen is tidy for once- doesn't stop everyone being shouty and cross though first thing

EVye · 09/01/2010 11:49

Hi all.

Had a letter through this morning inviting dd2 for swine flu jab. The appointment was this morning! Eek. In 2 minds about the jab but had it dones anyway as if we didnt do it and she became seriously ill we would never get over it. Good that we had no time to dwell. It did mean we had to clear drive a bit more though.

Starbear · 09/01/2010 11:53

Morning all Thanks for thread Wolf Hows it going?
Swan I'm going to take your advice and diet end of Feb but cut back a little now and get into some sort of gentle exercise routine so it's not so painfully in feb. So there's a plan.
Had a lovely sleep & a lie-in which is very rare for me as I'm such a worrier (that's why I snack too) I did dream that I had taken Little bear into work, missed a important briefing for a drugs raid (I don't do them anymore!!!) as I couldn't take him with me (& have the boss see him)and was going bald!!!! What was that all about!!!OFM I blame you.
Right Thermals are on (in size 14 less uncomfortable than size 10) house has only reached 17o (can't get the zero above the 17 how do you do that?)
Boys and little friend off to gymnastics we are looking after her while parents move house.
To do (dam! I forgot to put cream on before getting dressed)
Clean Oven it smells of fish!!!! Yukky job
sort out washing
Iron Ds uniform & bits & pieces
Look at dates for holiday & decide what we can afford.
Nothing else on the list today yippe!

wendyhappysmile · 09/01/2010 12:56

Hiya everyone
Like OFM I am all of a dither as a job has come up at my local comp school - it's a fantastic school and a dream job! But it would mean FULL TIME work with capitals i.e. working every day very early til very late and at home too, working like a dog ... And I would prob not get the job anyway if I applied having been out of the profession for 2.5 years
One to ponder.
Off to serve lunch BBL

TeaMonster · 09/01/2010 13:11

Oh my all these jobs.

I had a lie in and am feeling rather off, DH has been wonderful.

We had another 4 inches last night.

We are off to the cinema to see squeeqal

Then need to try and get to B&Q for mum.

Oh and the boys have ink all over from nasty chepo ink and stamp set BIL got them for christmas. I really wish they wouldnt bother rather than get them crap I am hoping it comes out of their new fleeces which are in the wash.

We have more snow forcast from Monday, so we are buying more thermals (money allowing) and I also need to find a sledge too!

Later

grouchyoscar · 09/01/2010 13:27

From Yesterday...Swan as far as Ed is concerned he is in charge all the time

Wolf Thanks for the thread. The falls were n ot too bad. 8 years of figure skating left me knowing how to fall well (the skating itself I', poo at, falling I'm A1!)

Sanctions re Ed's behaviour have been loss of his Wii and PS3 access and a few stern talkings too. He can only have Education City and Moshimonsters on his PC plus I can inflict my CDs on him

oooh, pretty pretty, it's snowing again

DH is going to football today and I'm trying not to watch the IT Crowd boxset he got yesterday

DONE

Make bed
Empty DW
Put away
Reload it
Wash coffee pot out (coffe grounds just...stick)
Shine sink
vac front room
check hair for head pets
Put clean dry washing away

Fancy doing nothing today but as DH has cornered that option I'll just find stuff to do

Wendy Could you apply for it as a job share?

Tortoiselookingforwardto2010 · 09/01/2010 14:17

Hello
attempting to mn on the wii! dd1 broke laptop screen . Hutch cleaned out. Not much else done. Oh well, without a laptop i will have more time! Lucky me!

swanriver · 09/01/2010 14:23

Dh is putting Wii together now [aargh - we fnd these tecchie things mpossble] we have put it off as long as possible.
Dh is convinced our screen will be smashed by hurled numpchuks or whatever they are called.

DONE
s & s two bathrooms
veg cannelloni eaten and cleared (delicious but needed a bit of tweaking for next time - I think I need those fresh egg pasta cann.)
now sweeping floor

dylsmum1998 · 09/01/2010 14:32

afternoon all am feeling a bit bleurgh today. i have a nasty chesty cough again (suspect another chest infection, never really got over the last one properly). it been keeping me awake and coughing so muchit makes me sick

dd went off to her dads ok today, we were both still asleep still when he arrived, ds woke me to let me know someone was banging on the door

i took ds up the park for more sledge fun. we wasnt there long tho as i forgot my hat and hd very strong wind blowing, bitterly cold.
the snow was more like ice up there now and i kept falling off my sledge much to ds's amusement. it was quite funny, i was laughing too (as was everyone else at the park LOL)

Wendy am sure yu could get the job if you decided to good idea from GO about job share if possible

tort on no is laptop insured at all?

hello to all overs. i really should stop hiding under a blanket on sofa ad do something poor ds is bored!

Wolfcub · 09/01/2010 15:14

afternoon all

ds is being very trying today and he has got to the "why" stage which drives me utterly bonkers

done
hm soup eaten for lunch
dw unloaded reloaded and on again
minestrone soup in slow cooker for tomorrow
an hour playing in the snow
washing up done
kitchen surfaces and hob wiped

sure i've done other things but can't remember what

OP posts:
swanriver · 09/01/2010 15:26

Dylsmum - I think you should stay on that sofa for a while, please, don't let infection get worse. Couldn't your ds be sent on a errand?

Wolfcub - well done on snow play, hope he is whying a bit less now.

They've done it, but I now see it requires constant supervision and even participation [eek]

dylsmum1998 · 09/01/2010 17:19

Swan we have found with our wii that the screens are fine, its the light fixings and other people that get got by the remotes/nunchucks

I couldn't send ds out on his own as I'm too worried about him falling over its so slipery out there- we live on a hill. I did take him out sledging again said we would only be out 10-20 mins we were gone for almost 2 hours! we did have fun though. I'm getting to grips with the sledging on the big hills. only fell off on half the goes now. i only usually get to go on the little hills as i have dd with me. am feeling a bit better for getting up and about.

wolf Whying is so trying isn't it! my dd does it so much worse than ds ever did, drives me bonkers!

scattyspice · 09/01/2010 17:21

swan good luck. I am a wii virgin too.
wolf warning - the why stage lasts an awful long time and the whys get more complicated! Both mine ask constant questions .
dyl take it easy in the cold with a chest infec.

Sneaked into town this morning to get dd some school uniform bits (and to snoop around H+M smile). Dh and Dc tried to make an igloo lol. Dug the car out this aft and drove to soft play to build up my courage for drive to work next week, managed ok.

To do:
laundry reboot
shine sink (I am doing the monthly missions if not the daily!)

Tortoiselookingforwardto2010 · 09/01/2010 17:22

no laptop not insured, bought off my bro. If i buy a screen off Ebay (about £60) he hopes to be able to fix it. Very hard to type on wii!

Ruby you are amazing
was that the build a bear? Hope he had very thick fur.
You are amazing too Dylsmum, hope you get on Olympics bobsleigh team [grin)

Well today has gone well, well I suppose it has

I've resisted emotional eating completely despite numerous moments when only choc cake would solve life's irritations
dcs are now playing some complicated imaginary game in RL after a lot of shouting and throwing imaginary balls around in virtual world. I think the Wii is going to drive Dh and I to divorce very quickly.

Dh has boxed up his special Xmas decs.

DONE
made scones, and choc cake (someone had eaten bananas)
decs finalized
ds1 did some work
ds2 did his aeroplane
kitchen cleared several times

Desperately need a brsk walk, but it is really an icerink on our pavement. Dh has been shovelling contents of sandpit in front of house.

Off to do some reading.

swanriver · 09/01/2010 18:33

Looking back onthis mroning list, I see I also did

Xmas Tree outside
front room and corridor swept of needles
rug shaken out
got dressed and showered

so that is good...

Wolfcub · 09/01/2010 19:14

Evening all

done

OP posts:
TeaMonster · 09/01/2010 20:53

Evening all

We made it to the cinema, there was snow on the sand. Chipmonks was super fun.

Also got a bargain in M&S for me. Pair of mens PJ's in the sale for £3!! Blue and Grey flannel stripes, a little on the large size, but I have altered the elastic , went in to get DH a new pair of £9 jeans as he has droped a waste size again to 34inch.

Fell out with mum again - nothing new there

OFM We need a sledge too, as I guess with the forcast I will be walking the boys

Have taken loads of tablets as I had a migrane this afternoon and they have made my tummy sore.

Glad to see everyone has had an OK day, sorry about the laptop tort
