Here it is a new thread for June, and to motivate us for the Summer

JustKeepSwimming · 13/06/2009 14:49

Yes tonight

I am wearing a black sleeveless dress, knee length, lots of sequins, quite a high neck (good for no boobs situation!). and black high(ish) heels. think i have to go with nude/skin coloured tights as all my black ones are mega thick winter ones, do you think that will be ok?
a silver necklace and dangly earrings.
plus an Indian shawl for my shoulders, black one i think.
forgotten what label it is (nothing famous or anything), bought it years ago in Freeport (outlet place)

Have dyed my hair to cover the greys and done my nails, just need to straighten my hair later and change

Sounds lovely JKS, I thought I would have a grumpy dh as I left him in the house with ds & dd2, from 9.00 to 1.30, he had promised to take them out for the morning and I was at Feis and remembered I had the carseats
BUT I came home and the kitchen was spotless, except for floor dh does realise that doing kitchen means at least brushing floor too, God forbid maybe mop!

Antyway have blitzed living room and hall and ds/dd2's room can't let dh think he's brilliant at everything!
So better go now and get dd1 from party!

OP posts:
PlumBumMum · 13/06/2009 16:48

does not realise that should say

OP posts:
MuppetsMuggle · 13/06/2009 16:57

Thanks JKS will do.

I feel totally ill today

Did manage to do all my housework, and am now relaxing round DP's. He's been so good bless him, he's looked after DD all day, and has gone to Asda to get dinner

JKS about your lovely night out!

Hope everyone else is well.

I want to do something different with chicken but not sure what.

HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 13/06/2009 17:06

JKS - outfit sounds fab
MM - hope you feel better soon. So annoying to feel poorly especially on a nice day.

Boiling hot here - DS in over exuberant mood. DH just taken him to the swings as he was messing about with all the garden tools in an 'accident waiting to happen' type way.

Gosh 5pm already!

Evening! I've not done much today. DS decided to start the day at 5.30 and I've been chilling and letting him get on with it.
I put him in his pushchair after dinner and he rocked to sleep in about a minute flat, so I got to do some knitting. Can't do that when he's asleep on me!

Sorry you're not feeling well MM.

& for JKS.

Hope everyone has enjoyed the weather. I've got some bizarre eczema outbreak all round my neck, so trying not to get too sweaty.

To do-

  • eat dinner (currently cooling)
  • DS bath and bed
  • clear kitchen
  • watch ER
  • do some knitting
HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 13/06/2009 19:11

Wasting - 5.30 start ! Well done for getting him to sleep without being on you. I also get eczema on my neck. Its a pain and I try not to put any cream or anything on it as it itches like mad especially when you're hot. Hope it goes soon.

I've just put my feet up for 5 mins as been outside most of the day with DS or doing jobs. Garden looks fab but my legs are aching!

Good morning all

Thanks plum i will try to get it booked in for tuesday.

JKS your outfit sounds stunning (i love sequins!) i bet you looked really good - any pics? I hope you had a great time and not feeling too done in today.

Muppets we had 'run over' chicken for dinner. It is where you get a chicken breast and flatten it (butterfly i think its called) and then grill it, then add bacon and then cheese to the top. We had it with sautee potatoes, green beans and homemade tomatoe relish - clever DH (don't worry, he got repaid and i'm letting him have a lie-in)

I finished DD's dress and it is so cute! I will try to get some pics of her in it today and put them on profile this week sometime.

We are off down to kent today for my goddaughter's christening. Should be a lovely day. We got her a lovely charm bracelet with a 'H' charm from Links of London - its really pretty i want to keep it

Have a lovely day all, enjoy the sunshine and don't do anything too strenous!!

wastingmyeducation · 14/06/2009 07:37

Hello ladies. Bit late posting today.

Just taken DS to to a birthday party in the village. Bit embarrassed to say but I was fretting about it a bit cos most of the mums there know each other and look after their kids in the week and all send them to Metherin (welsh nursery school) whereas I work full time and DS goes to nursery near my work. Anyway everyone was nice and I didn't feel too rubbish. DS was fairly well behaved and I did make some cakes and took a nice present. DS due to start going to Metherin in Sept so will see them all at the school gate.

Hi Everyone

Glad you had a good time JKS

Hope you had a lovely day Alice!

Well I had a lovely day today, pottered about now doing dh's VAT rtn,
Made dizzydixies humming bird cupcakes they are yum, banna, pineapple and pecans in them with cream cheese frosting, unfortunately dcs didn't like them so dh and I have been scoffing them! (thats a compliment as dh is very fussy)

Have to go do bed time stories and finish this paperwork, very late doing it this month so had better get a move on!
