Well DS2 seems to be waking earlier each day....4.49 this morning did sort ofcoaxhim back off for 40 mins or so after a bottle and with a snuggle in the big bed....but really not impressed!

Exhausted already here and so far only half of DC are up!
DD 3 and 4 really missing DH. DD3 woke up crying "I want my Daddy back" She is a real Daddys girl.It must seem such a long time to them when they're so little.
Still they will all enjoy grndparents visit today , so that will help.

Should be doing lots but have NO motivation for anything here at all. sitting in PJ's MNing..... will find motivation any minute...really need a shower but will have to put DS2 in his cot and he'll cry...He's in a terrible mood today...may have to wait till parents arrive for shower...
You know I am very in awe of all you wonderful mummys that parent on your own all the time. It's so hard....and lonely...

Right off to try to motivate myself.

Looks like a nice sunny day here in Grouchyland (not far from Wolfcub Valley) so I better feed the greedy wildlife, water the thirsty plants and peg out the soggy washing

Morning ALL galen thanks for thread. Poor dd3, when is dh back? Hope parents help today. I agree with you parenting on own all the time must be so tough & lonely. I too take my hat off to all those lone parents. I also take my hat of to you lovely all those lo's & you still manage to do all the other stuff

I've ben out of action for 2 days Thursday/friday tried to post thursday but lost connection. DH & I have had some awful flu like bug & ellie has been such a wee gem

Thankfully I feel so much better & she has friends party at 2-4 today. I was so worried we won't be well enough to take her.

Looks like house sale is still on, buyer changing mortgage lenders because of delay. So we have a lady coming out today from Cat Protection her friends cat went to cat heaven this week & she would like to take Mia(if similar to her previous cat, cuddly & human like) She fully understands our situation & that we would like to remain in touch with cats & provide health insurance & financial assistance if required. As long as they are both well looked after & wanted. I've cried a lot this week after several phone calls with these lovely people at the cat protection net work.

Any way hope you lovely ladies & dc's are all well?

i have to take my car to a different garage as the one who looked at it yesterday couldnt fix it! so have to go to the other garage at 10ish to see the boss there and if he knows how to fix our problem

then need to drop ds off to his dads as dd and i are off to see Fifi and the Flower fairies this afternoon

must get breakfast and get dressed all i have managed so far is to fold the dry washing.............

Having a very lazy morning! Still in PJs and still in bed lol!
Have had breakfast though. One of the advantages of having to sleep downstairs!

Sun is shining though so i should get up and put washing out. And then start on some major tidying up. Didn't get far after making a good start at the beginning of the week.

Galen Hope you get your shower and have a good day. It is hard and lonely being a lone parent but you have done great. Is DH back soon? Think i added you to FB and said who i was.

I had a tough night too galen DS2 is full of cold and just wants to be a mummy boys again - back to normal there then!!! I too hold my hands up to lone mummys

DH has gone out for his haircut, but he has done all the morning routines so I can not complain.

It is then football for DS1

Not sure what the plans are for the rest of the day

Thanks Prof. Knowing my luck i will drill a pipe lol! Have never even used a drill before. Am i mad? Actually beginning to think it is a bad idea but i bought the shower and screen yesterday so i really want to put it up.

tort put a strip of masking tape over the area you want to drill so that it doesn't immediately slip when you out drill to tile

ds is being a bit of a monster this morning he has already spat in my face a couple of times (lovely new trick of his) and I have lost my temper with him - does not bode well

I've added two flyers to my FB list (recommended by mad) but I didn't know who they were !!

Intial KW standing in a field with a rip in my jeans (I'd just fallen over a barbed wire fence)

DH is away on a stag do
dc's have made up a treasure hunt game so house is covered in hand made signs and arrows and rubber snakes are everywhere... very sweet but god the mess !

EHM I have only just been able to post, as I was crying to much after reading your post. I do really feel for you - my Smudge or Mr Smudge as the mini's call him is my first baby - we lost twins a long time agai and bought smudge and his brother snowey after the loss - they were my first babies. I loved them intensly as they filled a massive hole. Losing Snowey left me bereft - his death was so unexpected . I know you know you are doing the right thing, but it is still so hard and such a good thing you are doing.

Well, the shower etc is UP! I am very pleased! Will have to test it out later. Pic in profile to prove my hard work. lol!
