Thanks for the thread TMH.

I need to join you all again. Am off to work and have a pretty full day but I hope to be back on this evening. I won't be able to do much by way of individual messages I'm afraid - I can't keep up with the thread - but I'm glad to be back and I know that you'll put up with my irregular postings as you're lovely like that!

wendyrednoseredhair · 23/03/2009 08:45

hi simply welcome
thanks for thread Mad how are you?
DS has more spots and has been sick this morning . He is on the sofa watching TV. Have sent my Mum to Boots to buy PoxClin (thanks Mad) as he is covered in spots now. Poor mite. I am just living in dread of getting it!
Oh well onwards and upwards. Am showered need to get dressed and get on - kitchen floor needs a proper mop with disinfectant and there's washing to do and beds to change.

Morning
TMH thanks for the thread, hope thing with you are on the up. Didn't you just do a mass clear out of your bedroom to change the furniture?
Hi simply I feel like that with this thread - I post what I can when I can - hope your flying is going well.
wendy about the cpox, poor little mite, is it just a case of sitting it out? We have so far not had CP in the greyskull house so I have no idea what to expect.

So, this morning have done morning routine, ie
beds made
bathrooms ss'd
dishwasher done
washing machine done
DS1 to school

having 30 mins on computer then
tip & charity shop run
lunch
then going to messyplay for the first time since standing down as organiser
make soup with leftover roast
chicken

As for this week's zone, need to do the ensuite bit but have just emptied and decorated our bedroom ready for new furniture arriving on Wednesday so don't need to worry about that.

Back later big waves to my old flyfriends

gibbberish · 23/03/2009 10:01

Morning ladies

Thanks for the thread tmh. Hope you are feeling ok today.

wendy dd4 is on her fourth day today and she seems much chirpier. Spots still appearing but she seems much better in herself. So here's hoping your ds will start to feel a bit better soon.

House is lovely and tidy so got a few jobs in line to do:

Tidy front garden
Clear out, de-clutter and tidy cupboard under the stairs
File all the bills
Ironing

That little lot should keep me out of trouble! Will check out the mission too.

Is beautiful and sunny here - hope you all have the sun too!

gibbberish · 23/03/2009 10:04

Oooh it's a decluttering mission - my favourite! Need to do that too.

TheMadHouse · 23/03/2009 10:39

Morning again

Greyskull yes bedroom is pretty much ship shape apart from my clothes, which I may sort this weekend.

I have changed DS2's junior bed and sripped DS1's bed, but can not stretch to make it so will leave it for mum.

Washer is on

I am having a cup of tea before collecting the mini mads's from creche and preschool

My mum is supposed to be coming at some point to do the ironing and mop, so that will be nice.

I need to ring the hospital this afternoon too

so how many of you fly ladies are there, and what do you have to do? All I really know about FLY lady is that she says you have to put proper shoes on when you get up, which I will never do. I am always barefoot when I can get away with it but do get dressed properly otherwise

TheMadHouse · 23/03/2009 10:51

Oh there are a good few of us, some are here all the time (me) and others pop on when they need the support

We are an inclusive lot really.

Most of us dont bother with the shoe lark.

I am 35 year old sahm with two boys 4 and nearly 3. Flying has been a real life saver for me as I suffered from PND and getting the house in order helped me get my mind in order too

OP posts:
swanriver · 23/03/2009 11:29

herei, we just post what we mean to do, and then post what we have done (housework mostly, but could be other things EQUALLY important)
It's a motivational thread and you just stick to babysteps at beginning of this thread, see link, from beginning not too many at a time, and then move onto missions when you've established routines.
BBevening

swanriver · 23/03/2009 11:34

p.s. getting completely bogged down in spareroom.
cannot find anywhere to put stuff therein.
cannot throw because important
if I put in loft, won't find it ever again (or will have to reorganise loft - which is quite impossible)

the answer is I will have to throw

back to ironing, much easier.

gibbberish · 23/03/2009 11:38

Hello herei

Have made a start on the paperwork - cannot see my lounge floor anymore! Can't believe I haven't done it for so long.. is going to take another hour at least. Amazing how much there is to throw out too..

Anyway, have cleared out the sideboard where all the files etc are kept. So now will be able to actually find stuff.

galen · 23/03/2009 12:39

V Brief lunch time hello! Herewith spend some time browsing the flylady site to get an idea of what it's about. You dont have to do everything exactly - adapt it to what suits you, and take your time to build up routines etc...
This thread is BRILLIANT - helps me so much to organise and motivate myself, and just to feel there are these lovely people here to chat to and for support when needed.

Doing quite well so far today - despite not feeling in the mood I have made strangely good progress LOL

To Do:
Sort dinner- Next!
Tidy out fridge and big cupbaord before
shopping arrives DONE
Shopping away DONE
Clean downstairs windows DONE
Mop floors DONE YAY!
clean washing away -When Ds wakes up
reboot laundry DONE Last load on!
remake beds - This afternoon
Baking- hmmm

Right off to sort dinner and press on.
have good afternoons all.

Tortoise · 23/03/2009 12:56

Thought i would pop in and say hello

House isn't too bad after spending most of last week tidying before DS2 and DD1 had friends round. Want to try and keep on top of it this time!!!

Have a social worker coming this afternoon. Our last one moved away and as DD's contact is supervised they have to do 6 monthly reviews to check all is ok with contact.

I have a new toy! I am buying my brothers little laptop off him. Paying him a bit each week! It is a mini notebook thing and i LOVE it. Much easier than my silly poorly PC (which he is going to look at sometime!).

So, how is everyone?

TMH How are you doing since op? I haven't been on the threads so have no idea how you have been. Sorry.

DS1's birthday in 2wks, and his new bike came today. I have put it in the shed for now, hopefully he won't go in there. he doesn't normally.

Have decided to get a family present for us all for Easter. Won't say what just in case kids see it here lol! You might know what present i mean though.

Right, need to put some washing away before lunch.

scattyspice · 23/03/2009 13:00

Hi all

Have entered a crazybusy period at work (big staff crisis). Normally I get in a tis but this time I shall be calm. I have taken a flystyle approach and broken things (my patients) down into 15/30 min tasks. I am determined to only focus on one task (patient) at a time and NOT GET SIDETRACKED.
This is my plan. .

Anyway:
dyl sorry but LOL at your weekend! Hope you manage to drag yourself into the library today.
mad Good luck now dh is back at work. Take it steady girl!
Simply - hi
wendy hope CP eases soon.
Greyskull I love your new bedroom (wallpaper is gorgeous).
herei - Welcome aboard (I'm the slack one).
Swan/Gibber You've got the declutter bug!
galen 5.30 is too early to start the day! Hope you get a wee snooze later.

Today:
blind man coming again.
house bleugh

Tortoise · 23/03/2009 13:29

DD's washing put away. DS's put in their room for them to put away!! And it only took about 20 mins. Why do i normally put these jobs off when it takes so little time?

Now eating cheese on toast.

Flamesparrow · 23/03/2009 13:58

I miss FLYing.

Everytime I try to restart it goes wrong though

Now I need a nap and I haven;t even opened the missions etc....

TMH - how you doing? I am really behind with the book, sorry!
