prof flipping heck you are having a bad time of it, hope dh is ok. just remember things come in threes so this should be your last car disaster! Got a note from royal mail today, I have a letter to collect at the Post Office - I think it must be the card for MIL, god knows what they have been doing with it, will go and collect later in the week and put away until(if) she has a successful reconstruction.

hello all

had a busy work day today and am still suffering after my fall and with the dodgy knee I already had.

done

bed made
ds dressed
quick living room and kitchen tidy
dry washing folded
wm unloaded and washing hung up
wm reloaded and on
ds taken to granny's
mils mother's day card posted
ds collected
quick whizz round the supermarket
ds put in jammies and read story

mad I hope your wounds are healing a bit better today and any infection is under control

grouchy take it easy
wendy hope ds feels better soon and you stay pox free

waves to eveyone else

wendyrednoseredhair · 23/03/2009 21:58

Wolf what did you decide re: job?
Prof!!! have alarge glass of the red ... bloody hell girl can't believe your luck.
everyone waves

DS has woken twice already tonight since 7 pm ... expecting not much sleep so off to bed now. have had 3 large glasses of red feeling after Grouchy's comments!!! lol

Professor, someone bumped into MY car today -only a scratch on front bumper, but it was a horrible feeling. Hope your dh is not suffering. At least he will be sympathetic to your experience now.

Today

Did
kitchen
Work in afternoon
bolognese for tea
co-op shop on way back from cubs
got cross with ds1 about his homework (frustrated emoticon)
ironing - all of it
N.B. Perpetual search for clutter enlightenment -Those with nearly teenage daughters do you ever keep beautiful garments which are too small for you but might fit them when they are Amazonian 14 year olds? Or should I chuck?

dd helped me with ironing, makeup sort, and jewellery sort. Re-cluttering rather than de-cluttering unfortunately.
Boys left to fend for themselves read and played with trains very sweetly.
But, not really a very good afternoon, (east wind?) due to dd whingeing and ds1's point blank refusal to attempt his blooming imaginary map (all these lovely projects are lost on him sob) And ds1 had to miss Cubs as a consequence of not doing his homework. But I still had to go and pick up someone as it was prearranged, although as always it was rather a relief to get out of the house at the bedtime hour

Dh says homework stress IS my fault. He says I am giving off panic vibes to dcs.
The irony is that if you saw their work you would think them completely UNsupervised.
Galen I think you must be very masterful to get them to just DO IT.

Dh is in a calm mood restored by nice supper and absence of nagging wife at bedtime.

Tortoise, hope social worker visit goes well.

Greyskull, just re-read your post, I used to feel that way about going back to work where I had been bossed around by someone (very nice lady incidentally, just bossy) It was terribly difficult to visit and feel normal about the place, I was always expecting her to tick me off send me downstairs to sort the sales ledgers etc . Don't know if that was your emotion...

Tortoise · 23/03/2009 22:14

Swan SW visit was fine. Only problem could be that SS will want to stop supervising DD's contact with their dad soon as they have to pay someone to supervise. Have started a thread to see what would happen next. They are not going unsupervised, that i am sure of.

Simply · 23/03/2009 22:16

I've read the thread so I'm catching up with you all! I hope tomorrow is a better day with everyone who has not had a good day today.

I thought today that I should cut down on my daily glass of wine, too. Instead I had one of my chocs from Valentine's day and a mug of ginger and lemongrass cordial (good for sore throats) and hot water and MN! Ah, ds has just arrived home. I'd like to head for bed but I have brought some work home and I need to do it by Weds if possible. I think I'll start it now and see how I get on. I hope it'll only take about an hour.

On the house/family front I have:-

loaded the d/w
done 3 loads of washing
put stuff on the line and later on the airer
done the hand washing up
made various phone calls
walked the dog
taken dd to her after school activity and brought her back
sorted out ds' lift home for this evening
spoken to dh on phone as he is away

Right. That work won't do itself. See you tomorrow!
