OK it's another day and it's the end of another week (yipee )

So to help get the house ready for the family weekend we have Kelly's mission for the day (God I so need to do this one)

and if your babystepping go and pick your day

and if you need inspiration you can always shine your sink

See you later ladies, probably at teatime

Hi all.

Just a quick hello and fingers crossed for mad.

BBL properly.

swanriver · 13/03/2009 08:07

DHM & Ruby, It's sad for the little ones isn't it all these business trips - sometimes I feel into we get a nice rather low key routine without dh, but by the time he returns I am SO GlAD to see him (as long as he's not grumpy). All three trooped up to my bedroom at first light and prodded duvet suspiciously as dad had said he was returning "friday" and they thought he was in there somewhere

Now to get everyone dressed

Wolfcub · 13/03/2009 09:13

mad just nipping in to say all the best of luck for today, I will be sending some bigass positive vibes in your direction and a big un-mn hug as well.

gibbberish · 13/03/2009 09:30

Morning all

Hi grouchy and ehm! Chat later jas

Decorating the lounge and hall today and this weekend. Got to get off my backside and start painting the lounge ceiling...

swanriver · 13/03/2009 10:00

Now today's tasks are:

Kitchen table
Kitchen worktops
load dw
sweep floor

put away laundry
s & s bath as plumber coming to check tap

ice cake in yellowish icing with cactuses - still not sure what I'm doing - river, train, rocks. cowboy figures. there, instant brainstorming on computer.

wait for delivery of dd's desk and then go to tip with garden rubbish

no galen, do not feel I have organised party yet, tis all still in my head.
need to write 3 lists
GAMES - order of events I craft activity
FOOD
GUESTS(13-15 6-7 year olds)

furniture clearance
advise guests to bring gumboots for garden

This morning try as I might, more problems kept popping up thro my inefficiency. Ds1's shoe sole is broken and he had to go to school in it not quite stuck down, dd had the usual last minute offering for her teacher which she then FORGOT, and ds2 forgot his coat (and dropped his bookbag in street for passerby to retrieve), so I went backwards and forwards to school twice looking very foolish. But they did all brush their teeth and get dressed nicely, play charmingly so hey!

Hope you got to school all right Ruby,
more admiration for home decorators..
grouchy hope this is your day of freethinking freewheeling

wendyredredrobin · 13/03/2009 10:37

Hello everyone

Been flying this morning

Done
Washing on and outside, more in machine
washed up
tomato soup cooking on the hob
cat litter scrubbed out etc
dc red nose day-ed - and me with red hair, t shirts etc

Last night i decluttered the playroom a bit, chucked some toys and sorted two boxes for charity shop/bin/storage.

Stuff came from solicitor's this morning so things are moving on the house front! We are thinking we may get the keys by Easter! So I am thinking of starting decluttering and labelling boxes for the loft and garage (yay! a loft again!)

No time just now for individual responses sorry just to say Galen I bought Your Home magazine this month which has a guide in it to raised beds which I could photocopy and send to you if you like?

swanriver · 13/03/2009 10:47

wendyredredrobin · 13/03/2009 11:05

love it swan will name change the day we get the keys! don't want to jinx it lol

gibbberish · 13/03/2009 11:51

How exciting to be moving!

Right, have finished rollering the lounge ceiling - got more paint on my head than the actual ceiling tho

Off to do the edges then start glossing. Ugh.

I should be burning an obscene amount of calories doing this...

Ruby - I'm sure it will be fine. Good that he accepts liability so should be straight forward.

Try not to worry.

Hope Mad is doing ok.

swanriver · 13/03/2009 12:28

just out of interest, because I'm so very ignorant about cars.. surely your insurance would cover it anyway? If he had run off or not given you his details I mean?
(resolves to be very careful and keep camera and notebook at ready in car at all times)
is it to do with no-claims bonuses etc and comprehensive cover.

Have achvd something this morning. And moved annoying table, and removed enemy cat pee from kitchen skirtings yuk. Will have to start make catflap oneway only now that it's spring.

swanriver · 13/03/2009 12:42

yes, I see.
nice mates
yes, though I think even TMH would agree that it's the "little" things that get one down and seem the end of the world. However much of a wise perspective you gain through personal tragedy or difficulty.

gibbberish · 13/03/2009 12:43

hehe I hope not!!! Havent even 1ooked at today's mission... can hard1y see the house under a11 the dust sheets!
