OK it's another day and it's the end of another week (yipee )

So to help get the house ready for the family weekend we have Kelly's mission for the day (God I so need to do this one)

and if your babystepping go and pick your day

and if you need inspiration you can always shine your sink

See you later ladies, probably at teatime

Having a foul afternoon.
Children to swimming (dd's lesson). First we were late, which wound me up, then both boys having tantrums refusing to go in because want to go in ball park creche, play computer instead. Obviously overtired but so humiliating to be wrestling with these enormous screaming male creatures in female changing room, who keep running away. Whole point was to have a SWIM which they LOVE (usually)
Anyway, I'm never booking Friday swimming lessons again. The boys go on Sat but no slots left for dd's level this term.
Then ds2 poured water all over dd (by accident) when we were having tea at cafe, and now ds2 is in tears because we have missed IN THE NIGHT GARDEN on cbeebies.
I feel so aargh at such a lovely outing being ruined by everyone having their own rather spoilt agenda. dd did behave well though and at least they've had tea

Now I think they should all GO TO BED.

I feel better already
msnet ranting is excellent and so quiet compared to real life.

sounds very peaceful Scatty

Evening all.
Mad have been thinking of you all day. Hope things are going smoothly.
MrMad thanks so much for taking the time to update us, hope all is going OK, and the minimads are in good form
swan Was momentarily confused by the midlands LOL but understand now! Do you get back to visit them much. I bet you miss them all. I know DH misses his family.Hope all your party planning/cake icing is going well
wendy oh thanks that is super kind of you to think of me and my raised beds (or current lack of them LOL) I would love a copy of the guide, but only if you can do it without too much hassle. And porr DD , hope shes not too poorly. (hoping shes not sick too cause vomit episode after tomtao soup is not good - speaking from experience LOL)
gibberish gosh well done at ceiling painting!
ruby good news about school run rota, and insurance stuff . Hope it all gets sorted smoothly. And I think burying DH under patio may not be best solution - after all it would make a hell of a mess of your garden , and just when spring is upon us ! Agree he does need to do some serious grovelling though!
grouchy porr DH, and you. Glad there was some resolution to financial stuff and hope it all works out OK
wolf thanks for asking about FIL Hes not great TBH. Still really weak from surgery, cant walk etc... but has had radiotherapy which is good as they are hoping it will buy him a bit more time. Now just hoping he recovers enough to have decent quality of life for next couple of months. DH still really cut up about it all though
Oh gosh brain now fried...everyone-else Hi!

So the garden captured me again today. held me hostage for over 3 hours
Have to say though the front garden is looking so much better now, and at a stage where i can do little bits everyday to keep on top of it (think FLY style gardening!)
DD loves being outside too so day was quite pleasant!
Did do some basic FLYing though to avoid total household chaos!

Now diner for me and DH, and chill!

Need to do some serious FLYing tomorrow though as my parents are visiting on Sunday, and my Mum is the world most obsessive cleaner!
Also need to persuade DC to join in as DH away on a course - could be interesting!
Going to do some baking too - scones and more biccies for Sun I think....
1/2 hour for planting up last bits in front....

Then next week need to get seriously stuck into back garden.

I do love gardening - it is so lovely to look out at what was total wilderness and see little primroses LOL

Hope everyone has a nice evening.
Will be thinking of all the mads

swanriver · 13/03/2009 18:51

Gibberish, but how do you do Querty with ones? It must be like a new language.

galen · 13/03/2009 18:52

X post swan Oh poor you. I hate afternoons like that, where they just seem to keep getting worse. Hope your evening is better. When is DH getting back?

swanriver · 13/03/2009 19:02

Hello Galen, my (dear)mum always rearranges the plates cupboard, but she doesn't believe in deep cleaning just tidiness and organisation. She has this dangerous habit of looking into cupboards and say - Oh dear - Why is this there - I just DON'T understand why you have candles in the same cupboard as coffee cups etc. Which leads to prolonged and tense conversations justifying choice of cupboard contents, accessibility of cupboard etc. All completely unnecessary waste of time when we could be saying nice things to each other.

Glad you had a lovely afternoon in garden, my primroses are looking great too and have multiplied since last year. White camellia is about to flower and I think a very early blue clematis which still looks a bit like old string.

swanriver · 13/03/2009 19:03

x-post, I feel fine now..Dh is back soon, he may cause new problems...

gibbberish · 13/03/2009 19:19

My garden is a disaster.. I envy you green-fingered types. Rea11y must get out there and get it ready for spring. Oops, spring is a1ready here!

swan, is a who1e new way of typing

scattyspice · 13/03/2009 19:23

Sympathies swan - friday pm always abit mental here too (hence the outdoor sports lol). Have a glass of wine when dh gets home (or perhaps before lol).

galen - all that gardening sounds fantastic!

Now I'm just going to do this.. because he's so cute!

BB tomorrow .

dylsmum1998 · 13/03/2009 19:57

evening all.
sorry not read through whole thread yet. am hoping mad is doingok.

galen so of your gardeining and scatty playing games in the garden

i have been quite busy today, and still feeling very rough.
have taken dd to get her feet measured and buy the plimsolls she needs for nursery.
then home for quick lunch, which neither of us ate
then off to dinky dancers. dd still wanted to go despite saying her mouth her and her chin (i took a guess at it being her throat and booked docs appointment afterwards)
and she has a slight throat infection, have been given antibiotics to give her if she
a)gets worse over weekend or
b) isnt better by monday.

have also
tidy
hoover
wash up
sort dry washing
unload washer
and cleaned out the 3 food cupbaords
re-arranged and cleaned the kitchen sides (think was mondays mission)
cleaned out the knife and fork and kitchen utensils drawers
cleaned the drawer under the cooker where i keep all oven trays etc

must remember to give ds a treat as he helped a lot, by drying everything i washed up.
and washed down all the kitchen cupboards

dd in bed, ds cleaning his hamster, while i long for my bed. think i gonna go and watch tv and then off to bed

will be better flyfriend next week

TheMadHouse · 13/03/2009 21:02

Evening All, Mr Mad again - following orders as usual. TMH was in surgery this afternoon for what seemed an eternity. The upshot of it all is that she had an infection and they have had to remove the implants. Basically she is back to where she was a fortnight ago but hopefully this time the antibiotics will prevent any further infection. Another week or so of chest drains to put up with but at least less soreness.I did pass on all of your good wishes.

gibbberish · 13/03/2009 21:11

Thanks for the update. Poor tmh . Glad to her she is not in so much pain now though. Will be thinking of you all this weekend x

Jas · 13/03/2009 22:52

Thanks MrMAD I hope she has a quick recovery this time round. Thanks for letting us know.

Wolfcub · 13/03/2009 23:41

mr mad thank you very much for the update. Give her a gentle hug. Fingers crossed that she makes a more successful recovery.
