we woke up bright and early, everything laid out, kids breakfasted, dressed etc, but alas ds1 still not cooperating. The effect of his project (which is not due till Monday) has been to make him to refuse to do not only bit of project but simple homework as well oh dear. Hope he returns from school in a better mood and less bolshy. Unfortunately he seems to have inherited my panicky feelings about paperwork, ie: put it off for as long as possible then say you can't do it and it's too difficult.

Thanks for that site Wolfcub, and I've found a 360interactive Map site of various Heritage UK cities which seems to have good info for him to get his teeth into. Problem with my ds is that if I leave him for more than two minutes unattended on computer I will return to find him watching something on YouTube not researching his homework at all.

Dylsmum, poor you with cold, (but lovely to be studying not cleaning (no contest imo) - and you must be setting a great example to your ds)

Could it be could it be could it possibly be that their birthday is the same as your ds1's? March 15th.

He'll just be happy with family, cake (shop bought if nec), 3 games and presents of course so you mustn't worry. Just tell the guests that they have to organise everything.

We have no family members coming to ours boohoo just the (nice but unrelated)locals...very sad,no grandmas or aunts and uncles or cousins. All in other districts or countries.

I hope consultant gave you some helpful answers. It sounds like a very difficult situation.

Scatty, ds1 is 8 and just rather lazy. This afternoon when we get home I am going to try and be more encouraging, and strict at same time.

Swan He is 4 on the 16, but was having a tiny party - decorating cakes on Sunday.

Just a quick post to say all is not right with the left Mad breast, so I am going back in to go on IV antib's and possible operation in the morning.

never got back on yesterday, busy day and managed to get to yoga too.

Hosp with DD this morning, finger is healing well, final check in two weeks then we are signed off hurrah! Went to soft play for an hour afterwards to meet a friend I'd not seen since mid January - lovely to catch up and have a cuppa and DD enjoyed it too. Lost my rag this aft though with both dd and ds when i was cooking eggs for them and they were being naughty in the kitchen - one hard fried egg and rubbery scrambled eggs because they kept distracting me and doing naughty things. All because they went to see some hens yesterday and collected the eggs themselves. I am on a very short fuse atm, it seems all the normal 2yo and 4yo behaviour is an irritant to me and I can't tolerate it. Feeling very tired.

Mad thinking of you lots as usual and hoping went well at consultants.

galen for you and hugs. On the positive, DH's reaction shows what a big difference the FLYing has made to your life, if you have ONE day off and he notices it so much to whinge about it lol! I'm lucky my dh never whinges about the state of the house or looking after the children but then he does often just let them run amok or put the tv on if he doesn't feel like looking after them!

Back home now and...I had to do the barking myself Made a sarnie, seems I made it with the wrong stuff so it's become Ed's lunch for tomorrow, make another butty and a cuppa and hide upstairs with the laptop.

DH is collecting Ed so I think I will do all the ickle bits he could have done while he does the collecting

mad best of luck for tomorrow. If it helps my colleagues sister had a readmittance and a revision to her surgery too (same op same reason) but all is now well. I will be sending positive vibes your way.

wendy 4 and 2 is the hardest age i think, mine are 5 and 3 (nearly 4) and sooo much easier. Stick in (and don't expect too much) .
