Welcome one, welcome All

No missions for the weekend as it is prescribed as family time (yay ...funny, I do most of the cleaning at the weekend )

But this is for the Babysteppers

Have fun everyone.

You will be warm on this freezing day!!

swanriver · 04/01/2009 17:04

Posted a thank you letter
Took children on a long improving walk round district pointing out all the interesting things en route stone pineapples giant wasps signs, white birch trees, dcs complaining non-stop, tripped over ds2 whilst carrying ds1, handed out emergency choc rations, managed to get home better tempered than started out...
Then they did some dressing up..in excellent spirits.
Now they are watching Waterhorse with dh.
I need to prepare tea.

I got the book from a little bookshop in Ambleside when I was on holiday (and feeling the stain lol). Author is Anne Schaef.

swan well done on the improving walk.

Ironing done. Been for a run. Played Docs and hairdressers with DC (DD would much rather be a hairdresser than a nurse - who could blame her?).

To do
wash up
make sandwiches
pack bags etc...

Spiderplant · 04/01/2009 17:33

Hi all

I have spent most of the day trying to keep warm! We have had very weird snow on and off today, its very powdery type stuff. We need the good stuff to come now.

I have also spent quite a huge amount of the day cleaning the kitchen. I have moved things around in the vain attempt to make more space. I've decluttered most of the drawers and rearranged the cutlery drawer (don't ask....I have a weird cutlery drawer thing going on)
I also sorted out my recipe folder and put everything in clear plastic wallets.

I am now off for a nice hot bath

TheNewYearNewMadHouse · 04/01/2009 19:29

Evening all

I will take a look on Amazon Scatty

I wish we had snow, although DH would disagree

DS1 fell and banged his collar bone again - poor mite, so we have had tears and only just got him to bed.

Everything is done really apart from the floor mop, which I will do in a while

I need a bath once DH is out - see you all in the morning

Wolfcub · 04/01/2009 20:59

Put children to bed peacefully with dh's help
Fell asleep

Washed load of clothes and put out to dry

GOING TO BED EARLY

ByThePowerOfGreyskull · 04/01/2009 22:08

Evening all.

after my last post DH took the kids into the garden to play and I went upstairs for a nap - he woke me up at 7pm so I could say good night to the boys
I had slept for 3 hours!

Have eaten too many cheese and crackers and now have a coffee and am going back to bed - hping for a more peaceful night than last night.

will be back on the ball tomorrow - promise

TheNewYearNewMadHouse · 04/01/2009 22:34

Decided the floor could wait until tomorrow.

Feel sad that DH has to go back to work. Think we must be weird as we actually love spending time together and never really fight. In fact I can not wait until we both retire and get to spend loads of time together

Jas · 04/01/2009 22:43

Evening

I feel like I spent most of the day in the loft today. All the decs are stored, and I have also sorted all ds' clothes and brought down the next size up for him to grow into.
A huge box of books that dp put up there has also made its way back onto the shelves (DP is not a reader and put them away to make space for videos)

I also found a box of 0-3 month baby clothes I forgot i had, so that is going to my pg friend next week.

The dc all went to be dreally well, ready for school tomorrow.

swanriver · 04/01/2009 22:44

Done
Found 3 waterbottles with lids
Washed 2 rather manky coats and hung out
Matched pairs of shoes
collected gloves - where are all the school hats will have to improvise with sparkly purple spiderman etc for one day
bookbags located

TOMORROW first thing
check through reading books and write comments
get children to polish shoes
put on necklace and brush hair before leaving house

MrsMerryHenry · 04/01/2009 23:17

Hi all!

Just wanted to share my joy with you, for today I have...(wait for it...

wait for it...)

Shone my sink! Yaaaaaaaaayyyyy!!!

Sad thing is, it has made me beam!

LadyOfWaffle · 04/01/2009 23:30

Only skimmed the thread, am put to shame by all your lists! I am doing badly with the babysteps - both DSs wouldn't sllep Friay night, the builders were here Saturday but I went to bed when DS1 did (5.30pm) even though they were still here! Dozed when I could today, DH is off until Wed. night now so will start step 1 tomorrow

MrsMerryHenry · 04/01/2009 23:51

Don't beat yourself up about it. Sounds like you had a hefty weekend.
