Come on you slatterns, get your arses in gear, I stop posting for 2 days and you all start getting lazy................

goldFAQinsenceandmyrrh · 27/12/2008 18:43

didn't see a single bump of a slattersn thread in the 2 days I've lurked. So here we are - a brand new slatterns thread to take us over to the new year (where I think we can safely say that one of our NY Resolution won't be keeping teh house tidy at all times )

I can officialy say that:

Paper lists of things to do are SHIT. They don't work, they don't tell you how well you're doing when you update to say what you've done, they get lost under the stuff still to be sorted, and they don't give you other unrelated banter while you're having a rest from it all

So - with that in mind.

Tonight (and I use the word quite loosely as I've slept the last 2 nights so suspect there will be little sleep to be found tonight) I need to:

  • Get my washing done
  • Dry it
  • Iron it all (it's taking over the dining room!)
  • Tidy and hoover the lounge
  • Clean kitchen worktops
  • Empty kitchen bins
  • Put dishwasher on

May add more stuff later as I realise it needs doing.

Anyhow, going to have some lunch then get my timer out and do some 15 minute blitzes on stuff on my list (I hope ). Hopefully the monitor will turn up as I tidy the pigsty that is the lounge/diner and then I'll know when he's woken up LOL.

Ds was a tiny bit sick, then perked up, ran around like crazy at gym class, went to sleep, woke up and is fine - ate loads of lunch. I think it's teething related as he's just grown a new one in the past day.

-wash dishes done
-put on a wash load or three one so far
-clean kitchen done
-have a shower done
-get ds dressed and breakfasted done
-sort out dry laundry and put away
-vacuum downstairs
-tidy ds's pit bedroom done

cikecaka · 12/01/2009 14:48

I have made lunch and tidied up after, I have washed DD3s face after she got her hands on finger paints and covered her face and hands quite beautifully in them. Still some green in her hair but hopefully will wash out later.
Went and got some cards for Dhs birthday. Have to figure out with DC who is giving him what from the cheap and cheerful pressies I bought!
Have to make dinner for eldest 3 dc especially DS as we live next to his secondary school and we are making him encouraging him to go back for a homework/after school study club as his xmas results were ok but far below his capabilities
