Morning All

Today we are adding an inspirational page to our control journals again too American for me

Delete any emails you get from Flylady. I couldn?t cope with the electronic clutter, so I just use the mission and the thread.

So Routines are looking something like

Morning Routine

  • Get up and get dressed doing your hair and face
  • Looking at your posted reminders in the kitchen and bathroom
  • Reading 2 minutes of reminders
  • Recognizing the negative voices and changing them
  • Put out your Hot Spots for 2 minutes
  • 5 Minute Room Rescue (pick any room in the house) set your timer and go!

Before Bed Routine

  • Keep your sink shining
  • Lay out your clothes for tomorrow
  • Put out your Hot Spot
Remember you can set the routines to suit you, but by now you should have a morning and evening routine wrote down and be following it. If you have spare time ? yes I know an oxymoron, it pays to keep decluttering. No point in cleaning clutter.

Also to start getting used to the zone, why not do todays mission

Missions are little 5 to 15 minute jobs to do in the zone of the week. This weeks zone is the bathroomn + 1 additional zone

Good morning

Will buy a notebook today to put the routine in (am a compulsive listmaker but usually only on scrap pieces of paper which I then lose...)

Happy thoughts to you greyskull, good luck!

Right, have had breakfast, got dressed, walked the dc to school.
Then got home and faffed about sending some emails and nosying on MN.

To do:

Breakfast dishes and sink
Wipe breakfast table
Put load of laundry on
Clear dry washing away
Give bathroom a quick wipe-over
Deal with the hotspots
Make a phonecall (restaurant booking )
Wrap a birthday pressie and write the card
Wipe the shelves in the fridge
Do the weekly grocery shop.

Best get going, back later.

Thanks for this thread btw, I really hope I won't fall off Flying this time...

LavenderTea · 19/11/2008 09:54

morning all. Thanks for the threads the last 3 days Mad. I'm still here, but so is my mother and her glaring face everytime I sit down to use the pc. Hence not been able to write much.. Mother going to harrass stay at my sisters from Saturday so I hope to be back to my normal not flustered or harrassed self next week.

Missing you all. I am flying still. and following the babysteps best I can.

LT xx

hippipotami · 19/11/2008 10:37

Oh LT, you are good having your mother to stay
That is one of the advantages of a small house, when my parents come to visit from Holland they stay in a nearby hotel
Right, my list now looks like this:

Breakfast dishes and sink - done
Wipe breakfast table
Put load of laundry on - done
Clear dry washing away - done
Give bathroom a quick wipe-over - done
Deal with the hotspots
Make a phonecall (restaurant booking )
Wrap a birthday pressie and write the card
Wipe the shelves in the fridge - done
Do the weekly grocery shop.

Just having a break and eating some peach slices - will then wipe table and go to Sainsbury (oh deep joy)

grouchyoscar · 19/11/2008 12:19

hello All and Welcome to the newbies

Just popping by but I have to go...byeeeeeeeeeeeeee

LavenderTea · 19/11/2008 12:20

Mum broke her arm so came to stay cos it was easy than going to hers doing double shopping cleaning etc, ...I love her to bits, but what a good idea. Wish my mum could go to hotel LOL
We live in a small house too....it's a nightmare to be honest.

Everything done here except the notes on kitchen wall. Is that the same as writing in down in a book??

LT

LavenderTea · 19/11/2008 12:21

Argh she is hovering again... I'm off to go talk to her..

Later MN's

LT

scattyspice · 19/11/2008 12:34

tigger32 · 19/11/2008 12:34

hello all,

Today I am knackered Dh is away and i can't sleep without him here, i have spent the last 2 nights watching tv in bed through the night. Feeling so bad today I can hardly function.

Have done
w/m on
d/w empty

thats it!

managed to get ds1 to school with packed lunch and ds2 is asleep (he's got a high temperature again)
I must look pretty bad today as a few mums on the play ground asked if I was ok and 1 even asked if I wanted her to take ds2 for a couple of hours.

I have a friend coming over after school for dinner with her 2 los, think i'll just do jacket pots with beans and cheese (is that ok to serve guests?)

jas went into city after school with boys for dinner yesterday and in M & S they had 20% off all party wear, is that the deal you saw or is it off everything?
greysckull hope the meeting went well.
mad you are great doing the threads and links and all the extras that you are doing, thank you, I purposely came on here to get some inspiration from you to help me get things straight before friend arrives later.
so i am going to set my timer for 15 mins and see what i can do

scattyspice · 19/11/2008 12:59

Tigger - poor you . I can't sleep without dh either. Jacket potatos is fine for tea.

Bewilderbeast · 19/11/2008 13:01

afternoon all

done

dw unloaded, reloaded and on
some washing put away
bed made
ds taken to nursery

swanriver · 19/11/2008 13:20

They've sent DS2 with stomach upset. So no work this afternoon. He seems fine and is now asking for custard tarts and fishcakes. Playing with his train. Seems delighted by newly tidy bedroom.

DONE
Bought fancy wrapping paper from M&S
Banked cheques
Bought catfood
Bought some Xmas sweetmeats to stockpile like Turkish Delight, Caramels, Nougat. In fancy boxes.

House seems so much more organized. Still shabby but now not shambolic, just cosy. I'm going to approach Christmas little by little rather than being the SAS. Son is now complaaining about too many messages. Bye.

grouchyoscar · 19/11/2008 13:43

DH got paid X many

It's all owed out elsewhere but at least we're straight now

Oh, FLY wise I have done the morning routines and

Popped to Tesco for Xmas stash supplies
Made lunches for tomorrow
Sourced and cleaned away the cause of the agricultural smell in the Edroom
Done internet banking and handled e-mails and post
Contacted Tradesman for cover for the coal chute

I'll kick about and sort out the damp washing that needs drying. At 2:45 I have to collect Ed then it's mum n ed time as DH is working late

Better start on tea

bythepowerofgreyskull · 19/11/2008 14:22
