Ruby the thing is if I don't do it it doesn't get done at all and I like to get everything shipshape at the weekend. Yeah I should pace myself more and yes, my health does suffer if I overdo it

If I don't do something and DH does it I feel bad

The house is AOK so if it gets messy it's down to the lads. they need to pick up after themselves.

Must rest TTFN

Poor grouchy. I had a very poor night's sleep too, just kept waking up. Just take it easy today grouchy

Have finally sorted out the kids' Xmas presents this morning (i.e. other people's kids!) and am happy to find I have something for everyone and some left over for birthdays! I am very pleased indeed. Just all the adults to buy for now
It's the first year I've been so organised ... so feeling good!

Going to attempt Toys R Us again with DS and DD this afternoon - hope no tantrum this time!

Good advice Ruby I need to look after myself I think, get to bed early, prioritise some time to myself (can't remember last time I had no children with no chores to do) and time with DH - our last time out together was about 2 months ago . Thanks for Xmas countdown, think I'll get onto the Xmas cards this week! Need to make invites to DD's birthday party first though as it's in 2 weeks' time oops!

Mad thanks for scary looking list. Think I'll just keep my ambitions to a shiny sink, home blessing and the hotspots today I'm only a flybaby lol.

BBL all have great days

FiveDollarShake · 10/11/2008 11:06

Hi Everyone

Thanks IVC for the thread.

Thanks TMH for the mammoth cleaning list....I'm going to concentrate on decluttering zone (I've still got a couple of cupboards to do) and then make a start on the cleaning when I've done that.

Thanks for xmas countdown Ruby.

Try and chill today Grouchy

Good luck with the trip to Toys R Us Wendy- hope its tantrum free!

To Do-

Home blessing
Declutter, tidy and clean a kitchen cupboard
Laundry

Morning

Thanks for the thread, IC and the list MAD

I second Rubys advice if you can do it, too,GO

DP is unemployed (again0 so cluttering up the place today.

I have no girls til 4, so intend to get the house sorted, so I can go out tomorrow, guilt-free

I will finish my morning routine, then sort the airing cupboard out, and report back by 12.....

BabiesEverywhere · 10/11/2008 11:13

I throwing myself back into the FLY thread AGAIN. I keep plugging away at the house and then giving up for a while but every blitz it is getting less cluttered. It is just hard to tell that things are improving, as I am great at packing a years worth of clutter into the smallest of cuboards. So most of my FLY time is delving into and sorting out storage

That said I have decluttered the living room/dining room just a couple of drawers to go and that room is looking so normal, my mother commented on it So I am winning the battle slowly but I am not a natural housewife.

The bathroom and kitchen are clean enough, though still have a little hidden clutter.

So I am currently trying to keep on top of the mess downstairs whilst catching up on the washing. Washing mountain nearly finished but I still have a lot of ironing to do.

Arhghhh... It never ends does it !!!

Hello All - just warming up lunch (mince, Potato and tinned peas and sweetcorn - we ate all the fresh veg yesterday)

Ruby Link to dress please

Groucy Please take it easy - men dont notice if it is not done. I think you need to delegate the cates to DH (my DH has a list, DW emptied and away on a morning, Cats, Bins and Recylcing) not too much just enough so that he never forgets

Waves to everyone else - Where is Luda?

grouchyoscar · 10/11/2008 12:02

So much for rest...next door are having a kitchen fitted and the fireplace is being knocked out...Plus it's annoying me and YIABU cos I'm a touch and narked by it all

I'm popping downtown to get a CRB check for aome Vol work I've signed up to do. I've got a CRB form for creche work but I need 2 different ones

Thanks for your kind words and wise support as always

Shannaratiger · 10/11/2008 12:14

Morning all

I'm being very rubbish.
Done
Washing 2nd half in tumble dryer first half looking at me from the sofa.
Flapjacks and fruit crumble.
Played with DS.

To do
Everything else!
I'm still waiting for the radiator, getting v annoyed.
Friday I actualy did the ironing when DS was asleep, when I get started can iron fairly quickly so no excuse really. Was nice to see dp in a nironed shirt.

Sorry haven't read the threads, I knew FB was a very bad idea.
I'm now going to turn the internet off, have lunch and then do something. Got parents meeting at 4pm, hope dp is home by then or could be very difficult talking with both dc's their.
Hope everyone has a good afternoon.
BBL (maybe)

Morning everyone

Hi Mad...I'm here
I'm recovering from a bit of a session on Sat night I went out to the local pub to a Body Shop Party, which turned into a drinking frenzie! I arrived home at about 2.30am to a very unamused DH!
Well..you've gotta let your hair down once in a while haven't you!?

Tidying today for me....lots to do as I haven't really done anything all weekend!
I was quite ill for most of yesterday!

I have lost my voice too! I'm thinking that might be to do with all the singing and laughing I did! I do have a cold as well though.

Right better get on

BBL x

Thanks Rubes

I've hung a load of washing on the radiators....
I'm trying not to use the T/D. Our electric has gone up! Its getting ridiculous.
At the moment, we are using about £10 worth of electricity every 3/4 days! Its dreadful!
I just have no where to dry everything that's the problem. I might invest in some of those hangers that go over the radiators so I can fit more clothes on at a time.

I have a clothes horse somewhere but I have a feeling it is covered in coal dust in the depths of the shed
I might have to go and investigate...and give it a clean.
