Because I'm starting to find it all a bit dull.

we have high minimum thread count white bed linen. with various stitchings and pattern. but always white with white stitching.

have now gotten so used to the higher thread count. that i get a rash from shitty cheaper bedding.

if i'm feeling a bit bored, i throw in one of various bed throws i have.there's are all in colours from bright red silk to deep brown velvet to peach suede.

we dont iron. just fold as soon as they're finished from tumble dryer. you still achieve the crisp look.as long as you fold accross seams expertly

I have white or navy blue bottom sheets and pillowcases. Some black pillowcases. Some very light grey pillowcases.

Duvet covers are all horizontal stripes, one is missoni and I adore it, the rest are asda.

My bedroom is painted white, with wooden floor and wooden blinds.

I had no idea there was a ubiquitious white bed linen look (come to think of it, I have a few white pillow cases but rest is non-white colours).

Nothing is colour coordinatred with the room or the curtains or anything else.

Am obviously not an ubiquitous person .

Oooh bedding snobbery

We have one cream set, one white with subtle blue embroidery, and one cream with purple silk pattern.

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 02/09/2008 18:15

Oooh I forgot I have a toile de jouy set from Liberty. It was a wedding present and has only been used twice. I might pull it out and use it tonight.

twinsetandpearls · 02/09/2008 18:29

Have a paisley set with lots of cushions, the ones on the picture, these plum cushions, these these cushionsand a few cushions they no longer stock in cream and olive green. pink/purple throw and a plum throw.

In our old house we had cream walls with an accent olive green, in the new house it is white walls. The curtains are a plum silk and a few pictures.

Thank you Anna8888 -you've made my day!

saskia71 · 02/09/2008 22:47

I 'do' plain whites, jacquards, all soft, smooth and Frette.

expatinscotland · 02/09/2008 22:50

anna, that is some straight up bedding porn!

emkana · 02/09/2008 23:03

ah this is one of those "what planet are you all on" threads

like the ones about all white towels

We have various colours, mostly blue though, definitely not white, and IRONING? Are you all hopping mad?

solo · 02/09/2008 23:05

As long as it's clean - who cares? I don't even iron mine

thumbwitch · 03/09/2008 12:07

me either solo - mine all get hung up to dry so most of the creases fall out and then I fold and put away...

solo · 03/09/2008 13:08

Nope! Mine usually come out of the tumble and are creased up. They are clean though and I don't have the energy to worry about creases. Not like I'm taking any men to bed and if Dp is with us for a night, well tough! they are clean!
