Must admit i like to write a list in my note book of everything id like to get done each day and then tick it off as i go, kinda spurs me on to get everything ticked! helps keep me focused and not wander off really.

rowingboat · 03/07/2008 09:14

Morning all! Thanks for the advice Dylsmum, sagacious and Kiltycoldbum .
So today, better find a suitable book.

The daily weighing thing seems like a good idea. It might be good to keep an eye on that, but I'm not convinced it will make much difference.

Madhouse, I sometimes take those anti-allergy tablets and if I take two tablets I feel like mrs jumpy shout shout. However it's not so bad with just one tablet. When we went to Boots the pharmacist gave us given an oral suspension for the LO's suspected hayfever, and the dosage for that is 2.5 mg, but perhaps something like that might help, because you can give a lower dose quite easily.

HarleyQuinn · 03/07/2008 09:26

rowingboat · 03/07/2008 09:36

This is Day 5 for me and today I have to do the other stuff AND write down any negative self-talk. Not sure how that's going to work as we are spending most of the day with my folks. I might find that a bit embarrassing.
Can anyone tell me how this worked for them?
See I'm negatively telling myself that I won't be able to do it. Oh, I had better write that down.
In the reminders there was a lady who squeegee'd her bathroom daily and swished and swiped, OK so far. Then she mentioned changing the hand towel daily in her two bathrooms - that's 14 hand towels to wash per week. Is this normal?

littlemissloopy · 03/07/2008 09:50

Morning folks

Was going to toddler group this morning, but DD2 is poorly. Woke up in the middle of the night with a tummy ache, then was sick this morning...
She seems ok now, but we'll have to see.

So just the house as normal to do today. I think DS is going to his friends house for supper, and DD1 possibly going to play at her friends too...not completely sure so will need to find out today.

Right better go and do something

Hello to newbies BTW

Right...I'm making a start

Cleaned Guinea Pigs out
Tidied Kitchen
Put a load of washing in
Put a load of drying in
Tidied upstairs
Opened bedroom curtains and made beds
Unloaded and reloaded dishwasher

Cuddled DD2 some more and watched a bit of In the night garden

Just about to tackle the computer table/filing cabinet/big red tray that sits on the shelf full of absolute crap!

EEK!

dylsmum1998 · 03/07/2008 11:34

mornin the only thing i have done on my list is go to sports day and it was lovely
really nice to watch, in my ds's team there was a child with sn, not sure which, the children were brilliant they took turns to help this lad so he could participate in the races. so different from when i was at school. when a child with sn (or even one without but just not very good at sports like me) would have been complained about by other children if was on their team,or even excluded, as i was many times, from participating.

just got back thought i'd start with the washing to discover i dont have enough to make a load so one less thing on my list.
must get on witht he rest now though

Hello

May I join you???? Am completely new here and found this place by accident!

Am thinking of signing up to the Flylady website thingy, do you all do that? Basically I work part time my house is a tip and I have 3dc's under 7 (well 4 dc's if you count dh) and I need inspiration before I drown under piles of unmatched socks and Lego
