hello sircharlie of course you can join us, all are welcome, unless your anthea turner type perfect housewife cos you wont need fly if yor that good
its not necessary to sign up to the flylady website, if you do you will get about 10 emails or so a day aollection of reminders to do things and others are mainly american peops telling us of their mishaps and how fly saved the day

SirCharlieStinkySocks · 03/07/2008 12:31

Thank you dylsmum for the welcome, really feel I need to get a grip on my life, sometimes I feel like I'm permanently chasing my tail.

Any tips or words of wisdom greatly received. Off to do some de-cluttering of something??

scattyspice · 03/07/2008 12:33

Back again.
Saga - lol pedicure, thats the trouble with summer shoes - toe maintenance!

Hi to 123 and Charlie I'm a slack flyer, mainly here for the chat . Do find de clutering catharthic though and getting quite into list making.

Whats all that about writing neg thoughts Rowboat? (I skipped the baby steps . I'm at work so would need an A4 pad LOL (and her with the towels is just showing off IMO).

Sports sounds great Dyl (what thoughtful children).

Right:
Go to library
Shift laundry mountain
Reply party invite

dylsmum1998 · 03/07/2008 12:51

sircharlie, at beginning of this thread there are links for todays mission, i think its wipe down the front door or something, can you tell i havent done it yet
the idea being you do the daily mission and spend 15 mins decluttering in the weeks area,or zone, which this week is the front entrance ,hall and dining room.
there is also a link to the babysteps which some of the newbies, and older flys who fallen of the wagon are following this week, not sure what it is today.
the idea is that by following the babysteps you gradually build up your daily routine which suits you to help you become more organised and feel better about your home and yourself (or something like that).
i'm sure either EV or Jas will be along soon they are much better at explaingin FLY than me. i kind of muddle along hoping i'm in the right direction

Jas · 03/07/2008 12:53

Just checking in so I can find you all later.

Welcome FLYbabies and Hello everyone else

Umm, 14 hand towes a week is not normal!
I skipped the writing down stuff, but ever did a proper journal at all. I have routines and lists onthe computer and have a prit copy on the kitchen wall.

The idea is to turn around the negative "there is just so much I can't do It" type attitude and strat thinkng "I can do anything in 15 minutes" I've managed that without post it notes on my walls

I've invited friends round this pm so better put the cushions back on the sofa, and get the kitchen floor mopped (not a pre visit job, just my normal Thursday job!)

Jas · 03/07/2008 12:54

x posts Dylsmum. As you can see I'm rushing and not explaining anything very clearly at all today

As I had filled the bucket to do the downstairs doors I have just done the madness that it the conservatory otherwise known as the playroom. I have wiped all the blinds and window UPVC, cleaned the window sills and tidied the toys.

I am HOT....

Sag You are duly chastised. Now be careful I am watching you

Dlys Done the list - my list eveolves and is never ending most of the time.

I have ordered some days out tokens with my clubcard points. I am trying to organise some stuff for the summer holidays.

dylsmum1998 · 03/07/2008 14:38

i do have other things i could do, i just try to make myself get through that lot first so that i feel that i have done something . saying i finished makes me feel good so i then go off to do other tasks. at the mo am trying to work out how to get the films i've done on video camera off and onto laptop so i can put them onto disc gonna be a while i'm not good at these things

SlightlyMadSweet · 03/07/2008 14:42

Hi all...just a very quickie before the school/swimming run.

I have a "control list"....do you want to see it??

Really???

Bear in mind I am a babystepper, won't you now????

Maintain a shiny sink
Put DD3s toys away after she has gone to be every day - similar vain to shiny sink I hate seeing the mess first thing in the monrning...which (used to be) is every morning
2 minute hotspot.

There that is it.....3 things...told you I am truely babystepping...not over-exerting ....

back later properly. Right now off to find some geeky help...

dylsmum1998 · 03/07/2008 14:49
