Hi, what do you all think about the new M&S rewards on the app ? Tbh I preferred the money off like 20% off items
what do you all think ?

I hope they’ll still do the percentage off back to school wear as I usually wait for this and do a bulk order!

Offherrockingchair · 17/04/2026 07:05

I haven’t forgiven them after the previous change. Had 1000s of points having spent loads on furniture and they were all just wiped out!

daisychain01 · 17/04/2026 07:07

I refuse to twist myself into a pretzel just to save a £. And give these corporates my data.

its a big con. Not playing that game.

Me too!

JustGotToKeepOnKeepingOn · 17/04/2026 07:12

A simple ‘spend money = points’ would have been much better. RIP the 20% off deals. I have an M&S credit card which comes with lots of nice perks. Looks like those will all be going too.

Pernicketywishes · 17/04/2026 07:51

Yes I agree, a points system would be much better. I love my Boots card for that.

Swissroll12 · 17/04/2026 07:54

I love M&S but everywhere is cutting back now and for M&S this isn’t an incentive for me .
The 20% off clothes was really good which I used mainly on bras , socks and knickers .

Asda is the same when they stopped their good reductions .

OP posts:
topcat2026 · 17/04/2026 08:07

The Asda one used to be great when you linked it to Blue Card, but the CEO last year focused instead on rollback prices. I hope Sainsbury’s don’t start cutting back on their Nectar scheme.

Booooooooom · 17/04/2026 08:14

What annoys me and the nectar one is having to activate the offers. Just give it to me fgs! I often forget the nectar ones till I’m in Sainsbury’s then I have no phone signal and have to go out and come back in argh!

Luddite26 · 17/04/2026 08:43

I'm annoyed although their tops are just not me theses days hot 50 plus ( heat not babe) I can only wear V necks everything is round my boobs look like they're at my waist and I get all flustered with a round neck. So this will finish me off. Liked the 20% off jeans. Even the grandkids aren't into M and S now even the little ones.
They are so out of touch.
Who are they actually producing stuff for that's what I always ask now
Yours sincerely
Disgruntled Gran.

Yamyamabroad · 17/04/2026 08:43

So you dont get any points towards your vouchers when you do your normal shopping? Just when you use the special " offers"?
Has the charity donation gone too, I couldn't see it mentioned?

I think it's more transparent than points. If you have a points balance they can change the value of those points at any time so a 500 points balance might be worth £5 one month and just £2.50 the next. If you have a £5 balance, it's a £5 balance.

Edited

Charity donations are still there, scroll down

BabyCat2020z · 18/04/2026 07:20

I think it's really tight and has put me off. Currently have £5 back offer for each £25 spent on shorts. Most shorts are are around 20-23 so you would need to buy 2 pairs for £40-44 to get £5 back, which is closer to 10% and then it's can only be putvtowards your next purchase I think.

OvernightBloats · 18/04/2026 07:40

The best rewards system is Lidl's, closely followed by Sainsburys.

Asda used to be good but is rubbish now. Waitrose used to be much better, but it gives me the same vouchers for the same three products, for months and months.

Co-op has really upped their game and their rewards make me use their shop much more (depends on what type of Co-op).

Rewards scheme are supposed to encourage you to shop there. M&S's new scheme is disappointing.

I had exactly the same !

Yes,I noticed this. One of my offers is £4 off a £20 spend on leggings and most leggings are less than £20, so you’d have to buy two pairs just to get the discount. I have always hated this selling model where you’re forced to buy more to save money. Well, obviously not forced as such, but you know what I mean!

I can see why they want people to spend any money saved in Marks and Spencer though. Most shops do that.

Swissroll12 · 18/04/2026 08:08

It’s all very poor of M&S

I have a spend £140 on clothes and beauty and get £28 reward. And then some nonsense about Virgin being one of their partners and an offer with them. Not impressed.

ExquisitelyDressed · 18/04/2026 11:19

Anything would be better than the old system where the offers never coincided with me wanting to buy that categories and categories I'd never use.

Lidl is useless too the occasional free doughnut, limited discounts. I prefer points based ones like Boots and Nectar, Boots is good with the recycling extra points. Waitrose has improved recently my vouchers actually seem to be for things I want and are in stick most of the time and the little treats are usually good. Edited to add, plus free coffee and magazine.

MadisonAvenue · 18/04/2026 11:25

Mine are £1 reward if I spend £12 on deli, £5 if I spend £25 on shoes, £6 if I spend £30 on Whistles clothing, £5 if I spend £25 on Calvin Klein and £1 if I spend £8 on tea, coffee and hot chocolate.

I went in yesterday and there was an assistant promoting Sparks, I told her I already had an account so she asked if I was aware that there have been changes. I said I was and that it was a disappointing change.

TofuTuesday · 18/04/2026 13:33

My best offer is spend £30 over home beauty and fashion and earn £6. I’m going to check if underwear is included or nightwear but I could probably redirect planned spend to m and s for this

Yourmyarmynow · 19/04/2026 00:13

Only worth it for me is the buy 6 coffees one free. Will get £6 back from a £60 food spend. But I normally get my M&S food from Ocado.
I have trainers and shoes, would have preferred T-shirts!
I would just like decent return for them getting my data.

FlibbertyGibbitt · 19/04/2026 15:35

I don’t even know if I can bother to scan it now, the only good thing is you get an online receipt when you shop. They’ll probably change it again in a years time, can’t see any bonus of having it now.

Yamyamabroad · 19/04/2026 16:45

What happens if you dont have a smart phone like my elderly mum who shops every week there? Would the rewards automatically load in to her card?
