We're improving here, too.

BiancaCastafiore · 11/06/2008 07:54

Morning
Lots of early starts for FLYers this morning. Hope you all have a restful day to make up for it

I'm just calling in to ask for some pushes to get me out of the door to the hypnotherapist this morning. Feeling very unwell, shaky and anxious about it but know I need to go.

Appt is at 9.30 for 2 hours! (bearing in mind the state I was in over a 40min dentist appt you can imagine how worked up I am about a 2 hour session!!)

BiancaCastafiore · 11/06/2008 07:56

Oh, and Good Luck to Luda doing Race for Life today x x x

Jas · 11/06/2008 07:58

Good luck Luda

And Bianca - I am sending lots of positive vibes your way to get you to your appointment. Once you are there the time will pass very quickly.

I need to get the dds sorted, but will check back before we leave for school.

BiancaCastafiore · 11/06/2008 08:01

I hope it passes easily Jas...I always feel as though I count the minutes in these situations but obviously have to be able to relax today.

EustaciaVye · 11/06/2008 08:06

Luda - good luck Luda!

Bianca - fear is always worse than reality. In 2 hours it will all be over and you can come home and have a cup of tea. She may really help you so be brave!

Had a 2 minute blitz in the living room with DH and we cleared it of everything. DD1 has since brought an entire basket of play food in but hey, we tried.

mummymusings · 11/06/2008 08:12

hello all sorry i didnt get back yesterday, im afraid all i managed in the end was getting washed and dressed and taking DC out to play at a friends which DD was just delighted by so did 1/2 hr in the garden in the evening, whoops!

Am feeling much more positive today and am going to try v. hard and do upstairs me thinks!

Am i allowed to be v. nosy and ask bianca what she is v. nervous about? im just a bit lost on the thread.

and also, ive been thinking about being more environmental in my home, what do you think of making your own cleaning stuff, the old baking soda and vinegar etc, does it work really? should i just buy ecover stuff?

HarleyQuinn · 11/06/2008 08:16

Morning Sorry I havent been on here in a while, been crazy at work this last week!

All the girls on the school run are going to laugh at me

Typing hurts my head

mummymusings I make my own (sometimes) when my head is back to normal i'll bore you with the joys of bicarb

Waves to all
Head falls off...

Jas · 11/06/2008 08:19

There are lots of threads about making your own cleaning stuff on here. Some stuff is really good, other things aren't.

The same is true of Ecover....not all of it is good.

I try and use regular stuff more sparingly, and use soapnuts for washing 3 our of 4 loads. I also use vinegar and lavender oil in the w/m instead of conditioner.

I have some jobs to do that I keep putting off, so I will do a list when I get back at lunchtime.

mummymusings · 11/06/2008 08:19

do you know what is the absolute best for a hangover!? Those RESOLVE sachets, i know i was in agony Monday morning and within 20 mins all gone, v.good! and obviously a can of fizzy pop and a chocolate bar

EHM · 11/06/2008 08:20

jasglad ds is on the mend too
luda good luck!
bianca Sending lots of postive vibes too! Just think how proud of yourself you will feel & the time I am sure will go really quickly once you are there. You can do this.x.x
mummymusings making own cleaning stuff always works for Kim & Aggie on "how clean is your house'.never tried it myself.
EVhave a good day.

dylsmum1998 · 11/06/2008 08:21

good luck luda

mummymusings - I'm sure Bianca wont mind me saying. She gets very nervous about leaving the house and seeing people. It is quite debiliating and she has suffered for a long time but has recently seen the Dr which was a big step.

I have a coffee morning at pre-school this morning so wont get anything done and the DD1 has her scool visit this afternoon. V excited

mummymusings · 11/06/2008 08:43

thankyou, bianca you really are taking a brave, positive step and you will feel such an enormous sense of achievement when you've done it. ive heard many good thinks about hypnotherapy and learning breathing techniques and yoga etc for calming the spirit (without wanting to sound too hippy!)

Ive read Susan Jeffers book Feel the Fear and do it anyway and found it very helpful when i was dealing with anxiety attacks {id even write bits down in a notebook and carry it round with me so i could read it and try feel brave!), she also has a little booklet of affirmations that you can download for free from her website, could be worth a try.

I hope you dont think me presumptive or rude posting that!?

BiancaCastafiore · 11/06/2008 08:54

Thanks everyone

I have a copy of Feal the Fear but haven't felt strong enough to read it. maybe I'll take it on holiday with me and have a leaf through...

Not feeling brave - I am terrified this morning. Even the TA (who I am v fond of)in dss class noticed and gave me a hug (which reduced me to tears ) I know this hypnotherapist in our village so know she's lovely, extremely kind and understanding yet the whole getting there and being there makes me nervous. I'm sure I'll feel better once I'm there, the anticipation is always the worst

Car is in the garage today so I am worrying about that too.

TheMadHouse · 11/06/2008 08:57

First Off Bianca You are doing brilliant. Keep up the good work. I for one can not wait to hear how it went. I may be on MSN later - let me know

Luda Good Luck

Waves to everyone else

I didnt sleep well, but toothache is finally gone, so rather than lie in bed waiting for sleep that wouldnt come

I did the last two missions
Tidied the house

I am going to:

Take the boys swimming
Lunch
DS1 to Preschool
DS2 nap
Ironing
Sort tea
Pick DS1 from Preschool

Chill with the boys
Long bath for the boys

mummymusings · 11/06/2008 09:01

bianca even just flicking through it is a step in the right direction! i really hope all goes well for you and i am definitely sending you lots of positive vibes! good luck you will do great!

im off to do some housework, i shall check in later!

TheMadHouse · 11/06/2008 09:05

Bianca This is one of those times that I wished we lived closer and feel in the middle of nowhere (Never had this feeling down south). You are doing great, it is normal to be nervous and to anticipate bad things, but remember what is the worst thing that could happen?

scattyspice · 11/06/2008 09:19

Morning

Bianca Good luck, (you are feeling the fear and doing it anyway, you don't need the book ).

Good luck with the race Luda, you've done all the training so try to relax and enjoy it.

saga sympathies for the hangover (I get them terrible now if i even have 2 drinks lol. At least you must have had a good night .
waves to everyone else

DS still got the runs (though improving) so no school again. Feel abit bad as should be at work (and work part time term time so hardly there anyway lol) but hate to think of DS getting caught short at school, he would be so upset.

BiancaCastafiore · 11/06/2008 09:20

Just about to leave the house but
Thank you so much for all the vibes, I can feel them giving me strength
