Is there a scented candle out there that actually smells?

Ok, fed up with paying for scented candle after scented candle only to find they give off no radiating gorgeous aromas at all! I love how a smell can transform a space but I’m yet to find anything worth the bother. Looking for some recommendations please you lovely lot! X

Jo Malone, Diptyque, White Company - I find they all smell lovely.

I’ve just finished my first Rituals candle; it smelled like lovely soap.

I second Boujee Bougies. They smell incredible, especially the Rose one or Gilt, which is churchy and fabulous.

I can smell all candles when they are unlit and I get my nose right in them. Can't smell anything when they are lit which renders them pointless for me.

I do think that's a sense of smell issue then as most candles can be smelt easily when burning

Maybe it is. I never had enhanced sense of smell as a pregnancy symptom, didn't notice any changes there.

I love perfumes so I like my candles to be as nice!

My friend bought me a gift box from Number Eighteen when I came out of hospital. It had a gorgeous candle in it called 'Bumblebee's Bottom'.
It's made from beeswax and smells so great. I've bought more since for my friends birthdays.
Make sure you check when you buy cheaper candles what they're made from. If they're made from paraffin wax (I think Yankee candles are) that is petroleum based and I don't think it's that good for you.

St Eval and White Company are good and reasonably priced. And DW Home Wild Honey Nectar (usually available in TK Max or on Amazon) still smells divine even three years after buying it and I haven't lit it yet! Makes the living room smell gorgeous.

Voluspa and Diptyque are amazing but not cheap. Please be careful with cheap candles as they're often not made of soy or beeswax

I came to say Wonky Candles but someone beat me to it. Bought some as Xmas gifts, best candles I ever bought (they were gifts to myself 😅)

Can you recommend any? Just looking at the 300ml ones and wondering how big they are-is that about the size of a can of pop!?

Would you consider a diffuser? If so the very best one out there is Hotel Collection . Honest to god it will transform the smell in your home
