Morning all.
Dream in case you're lurking, hope things improve soon. As others have said we're all here for venting or moaning. You're always so kind to the rest of us when we're feeling down so pleae don't feel like you can't come on here and let us repay the favour

Just re-read that and am hoping it makes sense. Am a bit sleep deprived so brain not working well! DD has been off colour for a couple of days and had a temperature and unsettled night last night so being a neurotic mother was convinced she was coming down with something awful... only for her to wake up this morning looking absolutely fine and full of beans. Anyway, am seriously lacking motivation this morning so please help me to achive things.

BiancaCastafiore · 28/04/2008 09:12

Dashing now as I have to get to work.

Jas thinking good things for you, please do come and chat if you'd like to, you're not a burden at all! Agree about sorting through the big probs so the little things become less of a worry - I take out big worries on little things too (iykwim)

I dropped a very excited dd off at school this morning 7 today - where has the time gone? She said to me as we walked to school "Now I'm 7 and I have a good height and a good appetite you can rely on me, mummy"

Better get to work or I'll start to ramble....

Have a good day everyone

TheMadHouse · 28/04/2008 09:39

Jas - these threads are to unburden yourself too. I find it helps me in RL to pop it on here

Well I ordered a skirt from the boden sale for the christening and it arrived. its jade green silk and lovley and better still was only £15

The boys are fighting after a weekend of slack daddy time - A hard day in store I think

sagacious · 28/04/2008 09:58

Hi all (dream hope you're ok)

Sorry I've not been around much
I joined weightwatchers on Friday and I've been on the website far too much working out menu plans

Just back from a 40 min walk, need to sort the house out so I'll be back with a list

(have just remembered I haven't fed the cat this morning no wonder shes walking all over the keyboard purring !

EHM · 28/04/2008 10:08

Coffee well said, jas if you are lurking coffee put it better than I did.
TMHskirt sounds 'lush'. I am looking forward to Friday.
TTT I see you are in Scotland, my SIL lives in Menstrie, FIL & his wife Plean. MIL, My Dad's Family in Bo'ness.
Bianca dd's comments made me
babyjj once you get started you will feel better

Unsure if I should hang out 2 loads of washing, weather looks very changeable. Hung load out yesterday & it was soaked when we came back from party. I think I will hang on high dryer, then out out when I get back from meeting dh for lunch with Ellie.

Have a great day all.x.x

EHM · 28/04/2008 10:08

saga could for you, I've heard great things about their meal planners. I always forget to feed the cats

intravenouscoffee · 28/04/2008 10:08

TMH - didn't know Boden had a sale on, skirt sounds lovely, what a bargain! Arty toddlers sounds fun, if a little messy. Have a lovely time.

Sag - 40 min walk already! Most impressive. My best mate swears by Weight Watchers. Says it's the only diet plan that actually works and isn't impossible to stick to. Lots of lovely recipes too.

Right, have done morning routine and even gave kitchen windows a quick clean (sun on glass, soooo bad!) Just having a coffee and trying to motivate myself for the mission.

EHM · 28/04/2008 10:09

oops good for you sage

grouchyoscar · 28/04/2008 10:36

Jas Please don't cut yourself off. We are here for you, even if the support we can give is in cyberspace. Feel free to whinge, whine, scream, rant whatever. You are always so helpful to others (Esp me) so let us return the favour. Please.

Sag - you're so virtuous!

Right, quick question for all you lovely flyers... is a slow cooker worth getting? Am considering it but not sure how much I'd use it. Also, do you need to get an expensive one or will a £20 from Tesco's type be okay? Your thoughts are all welcome. Would sart a new thread on it but fear I may be labelled a sad nutter for wondering about such things.
Right, off to sort out some lunch for DD.

DontDreamItBeIt · 28/04/2008 11:58

Nothing is happening, Ruby.
Thaks for al your kind words everyone.

I am feeling low and teary atm, even writing it makes me cry and that isn't helpful, which is why I'm cutting down (not disappearing completey) on mn-ing.

Often moaning helps, but today I just feel pathetic and ungrateful, so I'm trying to take more positive action.
So far I have

~ Been out for a long walk with ds
~Changed electricity and gas suppliers in an attempt to reduce bills
~Booked both cars into garage for mot/urgent work
~Stopped feeling guilty for not getting windscreen insurance on dps car (I was quoted over £350 for a new one yesterday, but nice man at the garage says £120).
~Tried (and failed) to download photos onto disc, inspired by tortoise. I will try again tonight.

I am going to tidy and do some superficial cleaning, then try and do dps tax return (website wasn't working when I tried the other day) and get a doll out of the loft for dd2.

IC - I only use my slow cooker for stew, as it means I can cook it without having to smell it, so imo cheap is better. Mine was a charity shop purchase....there are hndreds of threads on here about them, so you would be in good company if you are a sad nutter to wonder.

Ludaloo · 28/04/2008 12:01

Hello all

Have just been standing in for one of the nursery leaders, who is away on a course.

Landlord came round yesterday and we talked things through. We have decided not to go for next door. Although he said he couldn't really tell us yes or no as to whether we could buy this place, it isn't out of the question. DH feels to move next door would be a big (possibly unecessary) move.
Plus I guess, we know our landlord well, and he has always been very good. He has said we can redecorate too. So I guess we are here for the mean time at least.

Glad all parties went well

Jas I hope things are ok...I totally know how you feel when personal things start getting you down. Like everyone has said though we are all here.

My house is a tip! I also have to phone the lady who owns next door [gulp] and and [sigh]
