Summer cushions! Really? How are your summer cushions different from your winter ones?

Cod - you are so like Bree from Desperate Housewives. I picture her whenever you post.

booge · 23/04/2008 12:22

Actually summer cushions would be cool, ours are a sort of felt material, some cotton covers would be nice.

Cappuccino · 23/04/2008 12:23

oh just stop it

no-one does this

we told you that in the autumn

MerlinsBeard · 23/04/2008 12:25

do you change your pictures on your wall as well?

What astrange thing to do....mind you, mine are still coverless from teh last time DP spilled coffee on them

LadySanders · 23/04/2008 12:28

my mother has summer curtains and winter curtains, i'll ask her if she's changed 'em yet...

Seasider · 23/04/2008 12:29

I change the throw at the end of my bed from red to green. Seems like a Spring thing to me. DP has an aversion to cushions and cats take them over, so no cushion changes here!

LemonMagnolia · 23/04/2008 12:30

OMG Cod, you are using last summers cushion covers?

LadySanders · 23/04/2008 12:31

hmmm, seasider, my dp 'doesn't understand' cushions either... there was a wonderful bit in the much underrated series 'coupling' with a couple in a sofa shop, and the guy goes into a rage about the fact that every time he goes to sit down on his sofa he has to move the cushions off first.

LadySanders, no cushions on bed either...
And I have spotted some really lovely ones in HOF too!

LadySanders · 23/04/2008 12:36

i'm not allowed a throw on the bed, let alone cushions... dp says they are "WRONG" and that's that. he's so tolerant of everything else life with me, 2 sons and 2 cats throws at him, but NOT the soft furnishings issue

booge · 23/04/2008 12:37

I never get round to making our bed ('tis healther don't you know, well that's my excuse) so a throw would be wasted.

Janni · 23/04/2008 12:42

Are you speaking English? I don't understand the question.

Janni · 23/04/2008 12:43

Just realised this was Cod and that my post sounds like I was insulting her typing!!

I GENUINELY don't know what summer cushions are

cornflakegirl · 23/04/2008 13:24

I don't understand cushions. My mum made us some for the sofa, which was lovely of her. But they get in the way, and the feathers escape from the cushion pads and jab me. I throw them out the way, and DH lovingly replaces one on each seat...

TooTicky · 23/04/2008 13:26

It's term time so we're still using school run cushions.

Monkeybird · 23/04/2008 13:28

TT you're good.

I'd actually be happy with my new curtains made and up. Haven't got as far as accessories yet (though have seen VERY nice summer cushions in lime green chinoiserie in JL)

SheikYerbouti · 23/04/2008 13:28

I always remove cushions when siting on a sofa

btw, am getting new sofas delivered in the morning am v excited!

RosaLuxembourg · 23/04/2008 13:29

Change my cushion covers? Are you insane, woman? I can barely get it together to change the sheets every season.

onepieceoflollipop · 23/04/2008 13:29

Would it be a reasonable compromise if I just washed our all-year-round cushions. They are mid-blue.

RosaLuxembourg · 23/04/2008 13:30

And all the cushions in the house are still BEHIND the sofa from where the children and their friends were making a den THE DAY BEFORE YESTERDAY.

RustyBear · 23/04/2008 13:31

I have new cushion covers for spring!
Because my sister brought me some Thai silk ones when she came home last month and they are much cooler to lean on than our normal ones.
