DS2 and DD feed, bathed and in bed sleeping.

Nearly never had dinner as we had a power cut. I could not even bath them as the bolier needs power.

DS1 wanted to go back to school Bianca There was no PC or and sort of computer games while he was home. He thinks he is going to be able to use them as school but they are cutting out PC/Games this week. He is not going to like that one bit. We had the "I hate you" "You dont love me" etc as I had to stop them as well. So this week has been hard with him.

whispywhisp DD (3) wont eat much dinner here either but she does eat breakfast and lunch so I am not too worried about her not eating much in the evenings. It would be nice if she would eat more. One day.

Tort I was not around then as life was a little hard. I remember you telling me a few weeks later that you had them home.

I hope everything is going ok now you have them home with you. I remember a few times you said that xp1 made you angry with some of the things he was doing or saying. It must be better now you have more control on what happens now they are home with you.

HNtree has gone out for a drink with the new bloke. She told me I had to be in bed when she got home. Only because I said I was going to wash the kitchen and hallway floors.

I bet I have to wake DS2 and DD up tomorrow to get ready for school, though for the last 2 weeks they have been awake by 6:30am
DD does not want to go to bed at night as she says "its not dark yet" Must get some blackout blinds.

BiancaCastafiore · 20/04/2008 21:55

Tort I remember that day well Can't believe it was a year ago already!
Who was shouldbe, she seemed a friendly sort

tortoise · 20/04/2008 21:56

Hi HN yes all is going well with them home. mad house but great to have them all here together. Bet i have to wake my lot tomorrow too. Both DC's rooms have blinds. It does help DD's get to sleep i think. They are both often in with me by the morning though!
Please remember if you get blinds, to cut the cords. Strangulation hazard.
Hope HNtree has a good night out.

tortoise · 20/04/2008 21:57

yes Bianca a year already. yes shouldbe is/was very nice.

DontDreamItBeIt · 20/04/2008 21:57

Nice to be seeing more of you HN. I hope HNTree has a ood time. You never know, you may meet someone nice, too.

Bianca

I have just spent the last few minutes trying to prise the lid off a tub of handcream only to realise it's got a screw-top!

tortoise · 20/04/2008 21:59

Isn't it weird reading back on old FLY threads! Anyone know what happened to Aufish? I haven't seen her for ages on here or on MSN. I do have her mobile number. might txt her tomorrow. See how she is.

tortoise · 20/04/2008 22:00

Lol Bianca!
I must find my hand cream. Mine are cracking and DS's call them old granny hands!

BiancaCastafiore · 20/04/2008 22:02

I'm finding myself fasinated by the old thread now - all the things I was doing a year ago....(much the same as I do now!)

tortoise · 20/04/2008 22:06

Nothing changes much!
My house is still messy! lol!

BiancaCastafiore · 20/04/2008 22:07

lol

I think I need to go back to writing out a proper list when I sit down at the computer in the mornings - I seemed to get a lot more done back then...

tortoise · 20/04/2008 22:10

My problem is not getting to the comp until night. I got more done when i could post during the day or get a swift kick if i needed it lol!

BiancaCastafiore · 20/04/2008 22:10

could you get back to putting it on in the mornings again?

tortoise · 20/04/2008 22:12

Not sure. Might be easier once DD2 starts school. Feel quilty putting it on with just her home. Was ok before, when she had DD1 to play with.

BiancaCastafiore · 20/04/2008 22:14

aww, yes.
I seem to get less done now I have no children at home!
I need to get my act togetehr, the house shouldn't get messy when the kids are hardly here and dh and I are out at work more too!

Nutsaboutchocolate · 20/04/2008 22:14

I get DD in my bed in the mornings too Tort She comes in at around 4am every morning. Dont worry on the string front. I wont be having any strings. We have string ones on the front and back doors but we have got in the habbit of hanging them up out of the way on a hook. It is easy, pull the blind up, wrap string around hand and then hang. Its an auto setting for me now when I do the blinds.

I want ones where you hang then at points going down the window for their rooms. Then when the wondows are open they dont blow out so much as they are sort of fixed, but they will still let the air through.

Dream Your DD1 sound like me. I like to eat cornflakes at night before bedtime. I cant have any tonight though as we are short on milk. I put the milk in the fridge on Friday after mum got home with it. By Saturday morning it was off. 6 pints of milk down the drain. Lucky mum got 2x6 pint of milk. Its 28 miles round trip to do the main shopping and our little shop never has any milk from saturday lunch time.

I wonder what happened to shouldbe She was very friendly

tortoise · 20/04/2008 22:16

I don't want to know that Bianca !! i want to hear how easy it is with none home!

BiancaCastafiore · 20/04/2008 22:18

What with the chat here and an old friend on MSN talking about people we'd forgotten about from school I'm sitting here (tucked up in bed) with a big

I ought to be asleep really - I was very tired before I came to bed!

BiancaCastafiore · 20/04/2008 22:19

My problem these days is that I get home from the school run and think I have the whole day ahead of me and so don't need to hurry...then all of a sudden it's 2pm and I have to race to get everything done, lol!

tortoise · 20/04/2008 22:20

I should be in bed! I want a lap top!
Lunch boxes still not made BUT PE kits are all sorted and uniform out ready so hopefully tomorrow morning will go smoother than it usually does after hols!

BiancaCastafiore · 20/04/2008 22:21

Good luck for the morning.
Mine go back on Tuesday.

Working tomorrow

tortoise · 20/04/2008 22:22

lol I can see that is easy to do. I do that on Thursday when DD2 is at pre-school all day. Am going to ask tomorrow if they have space for her all day Tuesday too. I need a break!

whispywhisp · 20/04/2008 22:22

Hi all

It's nice on these threads of yours...they are so friendly and the chat is lovely!

Presumably someone starts a new one for tomorrow - Monday Fly?

It has helped being on your Fly threads - makes me more conscious of getting jobs done around the house...which in turn makes me a happier person!

Anyway thanks for all your advice re DD2's eating habits. I'm just not used to a child who can be so difficult to eat a proper meal. Fortunately she will eat her way thru the fruit bowl but that's about it. Better fruit than chocolate or sweets I guess?!

Nutsaboutchocolate · 20/04/2008 22:23

LOL @ Bianca and hand cream.

HNtree has just got home. She had a nice time. Says to say hello. So Hello

I wont meet anyone dream no-one would want to be with me. Cant see anyone wanting to be with someone who can not do very much for herself and have days where I can not do very much at all and need a lot of things doing for me.

BiancaCastafiore · 20/04/2008 22:23

That'd be good for you, and get her ready for school in Sept.

I really am switching the laptop off now - NN x
