I'll just link to yesterdays thread, then be beack

Dream DH and I had it but luckily DD was spared! Pizza for tea sound v nice, I'm sure the DC's don't mind!

Hi EHM Nice to have a change isn't it? Although last time I had my hair cut short DD kept giving me weird looks as if I was just pretending to be her mum and was actually some evil twin!

TMH Hope the painkillers do the trick.

Dyls Student services are beyond rubbish. I think at current rates I won't have paid my student loan back until I'm about 87 and as for trying to get the thing in the first place, would have been quicker and simpler to rob a bank for the cash.

Hi to Bianca Ruby and Luda

Have done some shopping (getting all the things I forgot after yesterday's mammoth shop ) so just going to have a cup of tea and chill while DD watches a DVD. Quality parenting I think you'll agree!

GettingratherGROUCHYOSCAR · 05/04/2008 17:55

Typing a post and the window closed Quick recap

Ed had a HUGE tantrum when I called an end to Wii star wars as they were squabbling. It included demands for pom-bears, pushing, screaming, tears and snot. It continued for 45 mins

Sanctions. Pom-bears put away and no computer games tomorrow.

FURTHER DONE

Empty WM
Sort to drying piles
Hang to dry indoors
Make Ed's tea
Tidy away
Tidy front room
Vac front room

I've done work on 3 of the 4 floors in the house today. I have done enough today and I will do as little as possible tomorrow

Thanks for being their today

Ludaloo · 05/04/2008 18:05

I think you have done quite enough for today too GO and well done on the discipline...kids are sent to try us I am sure!

Mine are all very quiet ATM...watching Scooby Doo on ITV....waiting for You've Been Framed and TV Burp...we watch it religiously!
They thought their cheeseburger supper was fab! I had a bowl of weetabix instead....dh is working so I didn't have to faff cooking anything seperate (he hates burgers)

Well I had better go and clean supper stuff away, and then I can sit down to watch the tele with them all

TeenyTinyTorya · 05/04/2008 18:16

Yes please TheMadHouse! Baby steps would be good for me. The problem is that I work out of home at madly varying hours, so I never really know when I am going to have time to do anything!

dylsmum1998 · 05/04/2008 19:06

Hi everyone
sorry for all those that are in pain, have been poorly, or those that live with pains in the a**es

just a quicky to say good evening while dinner cooks.
havent been in long, we went to see the circus again today- very Scary as bil missed his footing in the middle of his act not just in the show dc and me watched but the one after it as well he is ok, as he says what happened means he just does something slightly different- nobody ever notices nromally.
he says its the ground they are on, they have been showing at this particular ground for year and someting always goes very wrong there. they call it the jinxed ground. as soon as someone says that they know where it is without giving the name of the ground- its that bad for them.
well dinner smells done so gonna go dish up......

BiancaCastafiore · 05/04/2008 19:56

Ruby I have CAT-ed you

Kids just on their way to bed.

OP posts:
DontDreamItBeIt · 05/04/2008 20:19

I had a cr*p afternoon too, but have no wine and very little chocolate. At least I got to see Dr Who, thaa has cheered me up a little.

I hope you have a restful night Grouchy

FunkyGlassSocks · 05/04/2008 20:55

Hi Guys, I thought as I havent been out of the house (except for physio yesterday) I should change my name again

Tired today and cant get going with anything...

tortoise · 05/04/2008 22:26

Hello.
I really enjoyed my nite out last nite. Was a real laugh. And we all enjoyed it so much that we are going to try and make it a regular thing.

Haven't caught up sp hope everyone is ok.

Probably won't be about much the next 2 weeks. School hols so will be busy with my lot!

Cinema planned for Tuesday, DS1's 11th Birthday.

Wednesday is his party. About 10 10/11yr olds in this little house should be fun! Hope the weather is ok then they will all go out on the trampoline. (My friend and I were bouncing on it at about 11pm last night lol!)

TheMadHouse · 05/04/2008 22:34

Tort I am glad that you really enjoyed your night out.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY for tomorrow from the Mad House Family

I am sat with the tens machine on trying to get some relif and am going to go to bed. OOH Docs would not prescribe any stronger pain releif withour me visiting and TBH I could not face getting in the car. SO we will see if this bad tomorrow I will.

GO Stay strong - only one day to go. I think you have done a fab couple of weeks with Ed and he might not appreicate now but he will in years to come I am sure. I have also given up all faith in people at the moment. I had a phil and Teds buggy with two seats on a little 3 year old and trying to open the door whilst keeping an eye on DS1!

DH has been great though and kept the boys occupied.

Jas He is contmplating internet sunglasses. The issue is he has a really strong and unusual perscription and also had an operation on his eye as a child, in addition to the fact his mum is borderline glaucoma - so suffer the cost we do. It just means I will have to wait for mine (I was due last year)

Bianca Do you want to talk about it?

FGS when do they think that you will be up and about?

Teeny I will start a babysteps thread on Monday.

Catch you all tomorrow

EHM I will e-mail you. We are quite busy that weekend - suprise 25th wedding aniversary party/70th birthday party and baby Ls christening, but I would love to meet you all

tortoise · 05/04/2008 22:38

Thanks TMH . I made a choc cake for tomorrow. And let DC loose on the decorating of it. I am not allowed to see it until tomorrow.
Bit because DS's usually get me a card bought by their Dad but they came home with nothing today. i will give them some money tomorrow to buy one after DS2 has played football.

Bianca Whats wrong? Am about if you want to talk but expect you are in bed by now.

EHM · 06/04/2008 07:15

DontDreamItBeIt · 06/04/2008 07:49

Happy BIrthday Tortoise
Enjoy the hols with your kids if I don't catch you again for a while....

EHM Morning. We have snow, too. DD1 keeps singing Jingle Bells

TMH - Lots of the sites I tried only did fairly mild prescriptions. My optician keeps assuing me mine isn't ^that* strong, but it was higher than he upper limit for the first three sites I looked at.
How is your back?

hello everyone else DP is supposed to be working today but has just turned the alarm clock off I will try and get more done today. I was so cross yesterday, I just didn't do much of anything. I still haven't shopped and wil have to take all 3out in the snow to do it today. I might forgo the roast and see if I can leave the big ones wih a friend and do it in the morning. I hate snow.

DontDreamItBeIt · 06/04/2008 07:50

Morning Bianca

BiancaCastafiore · 06/04/2008 08:01

I'm feeling brighter this morning , thanks for your concern.
Had a horrible afternoon being pulled in all directions by loyalty to my dad and work and by the need to have a family day off with dh and the kids No-one ever appreciates the struggles of trying to keep everyone happy!
Dh had bugged me during the afternoon by not listening when I'm talking to him, but that's nothing new I had an entire converstaion with him in a shop (empty other than us, dd and the staff) and he claimed not to have heard because he "didn't think I was talking to him" He then went to collect ds and friend from a party and had to phone from the leisure centre cos he had no idea whose party they were at! That's dispite ds proudly showing how he had managed to write the boys names on their cards before he left (never managed to get him to do this before[proud]) He then got in a strop aout me having to go into work...
...I had booked the day off then ended up going in to help out for a couple of hours, couldn't get in till later than planned but went anyway but told my df I had to leave promptly as we had a family supper planned and the treat of all watching Dr Who...Dad then messed me about (as is his way, often jokey but can never then see when something is actually important)and I ended up not getting home till almost 6pm which meant supper was already being eaten

We did all enjoy Dr Who though (although I'm not sure about Catherine Tate at all)
And dh ran me a lovely bath and we're friends again now

Beautful morning his morning, snow as far as the eye can see - approx 10miles from our window Need to get the kids out on the sledge before it melts

Back later x

BiancaCastafiore · 06/04/2008 08:02

Hi Jas I like snow, but hate it of I have to be anywhere...Hope you manage to do your shopping with no stresses x

OP posts:
Ludaloo · 06/04/2008 08:22

Morning

We have snow as well! I had to double take this morning as I was comming down the stairs! (Have a big window half way down)
What on earth is going on! Those poor little lambs! We were only watching them the other day bouncing across the field.

I have to do shopping too!

The kids are already dancing about waiting to go out. They are not impressed by the sun...they don't want it to melt!
They are due back in school tomorrow that's fairly typical!

Right breakfast then snow by the looks of things!

Ludaloo · 06/04/2008 08:23

Oh and...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TORT

TrinityTheProgressingRhino · 06/04/2008 08:24

morning all

dylsmum1998 · 06/04/2008 08:27

EHM- my thoughts exactly- why is it snowing???

yes BIL was fine lucky he didn't completely miss his footing, just had to change what he normally does slightly. says i was prob the only person that noticed cos we go so much.

dylsmum joins in with Bianca singing HAPPY BIRTHDAY to TORT

BIanca glad your feeling brighter today.

Dream hope you manage to get your shopping done today.

was taking the dc to Bluewater today so dd can see fifi and bumble but the snow seems to be settling so we might stay home instead - i don't do driving in the snow since last time i tried a couple of years ago. [scared face]
