Ludaloo · 05/04/2008 10:24

I'm half dressed Kids are dressed apart from DD2 who refused....so after counting to 3 and actually reaching 3 I came downstairs before I got worked up! Its a good job we are not in a hurry to go anywhere. She is soooooooo naughty!

DontDreamItBeIt · 05/04/2008 10:31

I've had 3 mugs of tea
DD1 is dressed, as dp has taken her to work with him, but no one else is. DD2 will only get dressed at the weekend if we are going out. DP has said he wll take her out later (He can only cope with one child at a time)

Happy Birthday Teenytiny

W/M is on, and the freezer is part defrosted, so I am making some progress.

Trinity - get out of that corner and sweep the kitchen floor!

DontDreamItBeIt · 05/04/2008 10:33

We do have a bath panel DP platered it in, so to remove it would cause major destrucion.
The shower has been leaking into the kichen for over a year, but dp won't fix i as it woill beripped out "soon" and the new bathroom fitted, so it isn't worth it.

dylsmum1998 · 05/04/2008 10:42

Ruby, dd will be 7 - it's my birthday soon too, but I doubt anyone will organise me a party...
The magician is doing 1hr 30mins so I hope food will last the remaining 30mins... I like to do simple party bags - slice of cake and a toy themed to the party so was thinking about trying to get a load of cheap magic wands....
MiL makes cakes so is planning one to look like a magicians table with tricks laid out all over and a rabbit coming out of a hat
Sounds as though we have it mostly covered actually...

Dyls sounds like a nightmare!

I have awful stomach cramps no idea why but very painful.

Have been called into work for a couple of hours but think I'll leave it till the end of the day so we get family lazy time first.

Thinking of letting the kids watch Doctor Who for the first time tonight....

Word search sounds like a great idea I'd love you to send me the template if that's OK, thanks. Do you already have my email address?
Rude cards sound great too I've just been emailing a couple of friends to invite them round over the weekend of my birthday as a little get-together (dh is away that weekend so I am home alone with the kids...)
There are a few of us from this thread with birthdays on consecutive days iirc

Afternoon all

I am in PAIN. I pulled my back whilst DH was having his eye test, trying to open a shop door for the buggy and DS1 and people just looked on.

I can not ven lift a bag. We went to A&E only to be told it is a 5 hour wait WTF

So I am going to have some painkillers and a bath and also going to call the out of hours doc for stronger ones if these do not work.

Oh yes and £300 on specs for DH.

EHM · 05/04/2008 14:24

HI to dylsm, dream, grouchy, janni, bewilder & anybody who may follow.
Off to cuddle Ellie she keeps looking at me strangely, I keep saying things like, give Mummy a kiss/cuddle. Just so she knows its me & not some strange person with dark hair

EHM · 05/04/2008 14:26

x posts aww TMH poor you.you have my complete sympathy call the out of hours dr anyway. He can prescribe much stronger pain killers. Also try & get appointment with osteopath, mine always works wonders with me.{{{HUGS}}}

GettingratherGROUCHYOSCAR · 05/04/2008 14:52

Bloody Hell TMH that has made me grouchier, why are the ajority of people so sodding rude? It's not like its so hard or such an imposition on your life to hold a door open for someone is it

Not in a good mood. Ed and the kid next door seem to think our front room is an Amusement Arcade and it's OK to treat the staff (Ie DH and Me) like dirt. I was in 1/2 a mind to send Ed to bed and the other kid home but...Yeah I have 1/2 a mind....

Plus my efforts of

Make Bed
Down for breakfast
Clean out cat cellar
Reline with paper and sawdust
Take 3 bin bags of soiled sawdust to outside bin
Bring stepladders upstairs
Change front room light bulb
Dust light fitting
Dust lightfitting at bottom of the stairs
Sweep kitchen
Sweep front room
Empty DW
Put away
Clean toilet
Clean bathroom
Tidy Ed's bedroom
Mop front room
Mop bathroom
Mop kitchen
Fill bird feeder
Vac staircase
Vac landing and tidy
Vac Ed's room
Dust bedroom
Dust Ed's room
Clean glass doors in kitchen
Clean glass in front room

Have been totally disregarded by DH and Ed . Thing is if I didn't do these tasks, no one else would

DH in the office watching FA cup semis, 2 kids in front room hogging the TV but I can't so well disregard them and go to bed can I? So I'm sat in the kitchen with the laptop and a stack of cookies having some me time, everyone else seems to get some so why not me?

I'm so pleased he's back at school tomorrow and we can get back to normal

intravenouscoffee · 05/04/2008 15:05

Hello all. Trying to get back on the flying wagon after the dreaded norovirus. Have spent the past 2 days cleaning every available suface with disinfectant and washing clothes, bedding etc. According to NHS website your immunity to the bloody thing only lasts 14 days so if it's still lurking anywhere in the house we could get it again! Urgh.

Anyway, have done the basics for today and will try to mop kitchen floor later.

Happy birthday Tiny. GO - Know exactly how you feel. Being ill demonstrated that unless I keep on top of things DH sees it as a subtle sign to revert to his student days and do as little as poss.
Sorry if I've missed out on anything important. Haven't aught up on threads from past few days.

TMH I hope you get some "just in case" painkillers sorted out today.
I have new glasses, too. They cost £21 off the internet. I hate them DPphsl when he saw them, then mended my old broken ones. I've been asking him to sort them for about two monhs now, and they are currently superglued (fro the second time.) I'm going to have to buy expensive ones too.

(IC* I hope you are all beter and have no recurrances...did you all have it?

GO Not a good mood here, either.Being laughed at didn' help, and spending all day trying to pin dp down to look after all 3 dc so I can shop in peace. I've failed, we're having pizza for tea.

EHM Hello I hope you like the new hair. I'm sure Ellie will get used to it.

BiancaCastafiore · 05/04/2008 15:57

Hmm, Ruby I'll see if I can CAT you (think my fees may have expired though....)

Have to pop to work now but will try this eve

OP posts:
Ludaloo · 05/04/2008 16:30

Well, if you want something doing...do it yourself! I have fixed the side back on the bath, and I have fixed the front back on DD2's drawers....have no idea how long it will last, but its done!

EHM I'm ok thank you....nothing a spade and a shallow grave won't fix
Lovely! a new haircolour! I hope Ellie gets used to it soon

Dream I haven't been able to shop today either....and we are having beef burgers for supper now....heaven knows what with! I'll attempt another go tomorrow maybe

GO I'm sorry you feel so today....I think we should have our own club "The undervalued and overworked club"

Dylsmum Some people eh! They just don't give a hoot do they....you'd have thought they would want the corse fees, and would therefore want to make the process as easy as possible!
