Moring

Not a good start to the day here.....I'm in trouble with dp. I forgot to put my phone clock (also his alarm) forward last night, so he didn't wake up til 10 past 6.He should leave at 6.
Then he discovered I'd also forgotten to tumble dry his work trousers.

Ah, well. He's on his way now. I jus hope the traffic isn't too bad, or I won't hear the end of it.

I'll go and find todays mission.

Mission

We don't have a fireplace, so that one is easy enough. I'll try and do the mission though. We're visiting aother mumsnetter today, so I will try and get all the moning stuff done before we go out.

Welcome back JJen and everyone else

I want to go out and cu down a dying bush in the garden....is it too early o be using power tools outside?
If I get it doneearly I can put it ot fo recycling, otherwise it will be lying around for two weeks until they nex come.

I'll get dressed and then decide.

Welcome back jen

Loads to get done today, but I am shattered.

I am going to ring my mum and see if she will have one of the boys for an hour while I get the car tax

No Fireplace here, but will doo hot spots and look for the car tax stuff

Ludaloo · 31/03/2008 08:50

Morning Dream

Morning to all who follow

We have all only just got up Bloomin good job its the holidays otherwise we'd be scuppered!

Good luck in the garden Dream and glad you are off the hook! (men eh...can't set their own clocks can they!?)

Bianca My DD1 said the HSM clips were "nice" she looked quite perplexed that your DD likes it LOL...she isn't a big fan really, but loves your DD, so she kind of smiled and watched it. She has a few friends that are into it, but I think, as its not her thing, she wonders why!

Well it is a nice ish day today, might try and get the kids out somewhere today.

Ludaloo · 31/03/2008 08:53

x-posts morning TMH

I do have a fireplace, but it is in use (its still way to cold to not have a fire on!) I'll give it a quick vac later.

TheMadHouse · 31/03/2008 08:54

Morning Luda

I wish we had only just got up - but nevermind. at least both boys managed some sleep in their new rooms

Once completly finnished I will take snaps

BiancaCastafiore · 31/03/2008 09:04

We were late up this morning too so only just got to school on time. Nothing other than get everyone dressed and breakfasted has been done from my morning routine so it'll have to wait till tomorrow now as I have to work today.

Had a late night last night as discovered ds had nits again and ended up spending ages combing through his hair trying to check we haven't missed any School say we have to report to them if our child has nits so I felt a bit of a failure turning up and telling them again - 2nd time in 8 days!

Jas I'd have cut the bush down, hope you did too
Luda my dd was sure she could turn your dd into a fan of HSM - she is quite obsessed with it and sings the songs all day long!

Just realised it's gone 9 so I must go. Have a good day everyone

DontDreamItBeIt · 31/03/2008 09:21

I did cut it down, and it is all bagged up and ready o be collected The trunk and roots need dealing with but that can wait til the weather warms up a bit.

TMH - Can't you get your car tax online? It is much easier. You don't even need to have all the bits of paper, as it is all online.

Minkus · 31/03/2008 09:23

Hello everyone.

Just caught up on the weekend fly, tee hee Grouchy about the ooooommmm vibes can we have some more please?

Don'tdream I was in the dog house a little bit this morning too. I heard dh scrabbling round for clean socks this morning- they were still wet in the washing machine, but I just kept my eyes closed and pretended I was asleep! bad wife alert [sarcastic emoticon]

Hi to everyone else too x

Well I have huge amounts of decluttering to do this week- dh and FIL decorated the dining room living room and kitchen this weekend and so all the "stuff" that had accumulated in each room was moved out in preparation. Also swapped the dining/living room over to make better use of the space we have. Has made us realise how much junk (for want of a better word) we have and it is currently all in the conservatory so looks absolutely dreadful. Kitchen is also revolting as although the chaps have done a sterling job painting they aren't so hot on the tidying up after themselves bit so there is still decorating equipment everyehere! But on the plus side I am thrilled with the "new" rooms and the paint colour, those two rooms are as neat and fresh as a new pin now so won't need to declutter in there.

I need to tidy the hall/kitchen and conservatory- would you ladies recommend I start from the hall (least messy) at the front of the house and work my way through or shall I tackle the worst ones first?

dylsmum1998 · 31/03/2008 09:23

morning all
we overlaid today as well so only have ds dressed and fed and in school.
dd is dressed and drinking her morning shake as i type.
really have got lots to do here today, no fireplace so will tackle all other hotspots instead.
first will have some breaky tho I'm starving as always
bianca don't feel bad about the nits, the eggs hatch again after 7 days, so all it takes is one missed egg to start the cycle off again, and they are bleeders to get all out.
dream the bush would be gone- if i managed to get up that early, workmen dig roads at that time so sure you can cut a bush.
TMH good luck finding the tax stuff i hate looking for mine its never where i left it
Luda have a nice day- wherever you decide to go

dylsmum1998 · 31/03/2008 09:25

crossed posts Minkus- hello, I'd do the least messy first cos it makes me feel better that i have completed at least one task good luck

Minkus · 31/03/2008 10:01

I like your thinking dylsmum- that will be first job once ds is happily settled at nursery! Off to take him now (so at least I've managed to get us both washed dressed and fed )

OMG is there such a thing as justified child abuse??
i was putting dishes away, and thought i can smell mouthwash. go to see where dd has disappeared to, she has tipped the remains ( almost 3/4) of my bottle of mpothwash down the sink. how did she get the lid off? i have to undo it for ds9 so how can a 23 month old do it? bloody babies!

Morning everyone

thanks for the welcome back

So have made some progress this morning.
Kitchen is now spotless.
2 loads of washing done
Sitting room hoovered and dusted cleaned downstairs loo
Dining room hoovered and dusted
Entrance hall hoovered and dusted

Stopped for lunch and to MN for 10 mins

going to the swings this afternoon for an hour

but this afternoon have to

put on another load of washing

Now feel that sorting the house can help sort my state of mind... the 2 seem to linked in a chicken/egg conundrum.

Hope all you lovely ladies are well.. Jen x
