Moring

Not a good start to the day here.....I'm in trouble with dp. I forgot to put my phone clock (also his alarm) forward last night, so he didn't wake up til 10 past 6.He should leave at 6.
Then he discovered I'd also forgotten to tumble dry his work trousers.

Ah, well. He's on his way now. I jus hope the traffic isn't too bad, or I won't hear the end of it.

I'll go and find todays mission.

Afternoon,
scatty glad you all had a good day for dd's bday

i walked over to the bank, its such a nice day it was a lovely walk. got a couple of bargains on the way home, popped into morrisons and got a 2gb memory card for my camera ready for our holiday. and some really cute plastic ice cream cone things for the children. oh and a new bottle of mouth wash!
then walking through rochester high street on way home and found a gorgeous light weight jacket for dd £3.50 in the second hand childrens shop i love it.
have just been fed my lunch by dd am now gonna go clean tha bathroom

Madwelshwoman · 31/03/2008 13:42

3Nab I love dalmation puppies, my cousin had a crossbreed dalmation/spaniel it was so sweet it was just a fluffy dalmation.

dylsmum I have no idea how kids open these things, my ds often manages to suprise me by doing stuff like that! Coat sounds lovely I do love a good bargain

Well kids fed and I'm debating a trip to the park, seems a better prospect that cleaning up my pit of a house!! However I need to prove dh wrong who insisted I but a feather duster (well lambswool) yesterday by the Ikea checkout as the house is so dusty!!!!! (sorry I couldn't find a contemplating murder emoticon)

Afternoon all

Great to see the thread so busy.

I have managed to go to the post office for car tax - never again
Get DS1 some jigsaws
Feed both boys and me
Drop DS1 at preschool
DS2 napping
Cleaned away toys in conservatory
Hung out washing
Sorted flowers
Did 30 mins in the dump (office where all was put for the paining)

I am going to wake DS2 up and collect DS1 from Preschool and then go round a friends for a cuppa.

I need DH to put up a shelf and swop light fittings when he gets in.

Decorating always leaves so much chaos.

JingleyJen · 31/03/2008 14:54

So things went a little haywire
DS's played in the garden when we got back from the swings I was hanging the washing out and they made some brilliant mud pies..
DS1 has now had a shower and is sitting here drinking hot chocolate watching CiTV

oooh so many posts!

We ended up at the beach for a bit, and then I did a food shop...the kids are all outside now.
It is lovely weather this afternoon! It was even nicer in town. I have just got to finish unpacking the food and I might tidy the garden up a bit in a moment

Grouchyoscar · 31/03/2008 15:49

Hello Everybody

Not had chance to catch up on the tghread. Just got back from the rare breeds farm in the next town. Ed got nibbled by a llama, nipped by a ring tailed lemur, said hello to a tapir and held a python. He loved it. Then I stupidly decided to walk the 2 miles into town (doh) so I'm waiting for the drugs to kick in so I can function

FLY wise I've

Made the beds
Made breakfast
Made pack up for lunch
Taken Ed out for the day

He's playing out atm. I have to change him (scruffy little urchin) and go do the weeks shopping (and get chubby spuggy food)

BWB Mail me at [email protected] and I'll pass on David's details.

TeaDr1nker · 31/03/2008 15:57

Hello all

So my house still looks a mess, but i have:

empted the DW
ironed some clothes - the ones that needed doing
put clothes away
put wash on
put wash in dryer
cleaned and made up bottles for the day

dylsmum1998 · 31/03/2008 16:12

Luda and GO you both sound like you've had great days,
are you in kent GO? there's a rare breeds centre near Ashford i think- just wondered if that the one you went to

BiancaCastafiore · 31/03/2008 16:23

Phew, home from work We were stocktaking so my brain is a bit numb from counting all day!
My house is a acomplete tip - I'd forgotten quite how bad it was when I left it this morning so am rushing round now trying to get straight again before supper time.

Jas glad you cut the bush. Hope you had fun at the MNetters house
Luda sounds like a lovely day at yours today. We are trying to work out a trip to Wales over our school holidays but it's looking difficult to fit in around everyone
Dyls Thanks for the support re headlice The teacher in ds class actually suggested I should "give ds a proper haircut to prevent him getting them again" just because he doesn't have a crew-cut! I know his hair is on the longer side but it suits him that way...
NAB at the puppy - sounds cute! Hope dd1 had a good party
Sleepycat hope you're OK x
JJen welcome back (forgot to say it earlier!)
Hello to those I've missed!

Well, I ought to go and cook some supper - tuna wraps this evening, then dd has judo. I'm hoping the weatehr stays fine so ds and I can go to the park while dd is tehre rather than walking home and then back again.
BBL x

dylsmum1998 · 31/03/2008 16:34

bianca am the teacher suggested a hair cut for your ds- does she tell that to the parents of little girls- go get her a crew cut she'll look great!

Janni · 31/03/2008 16:37

Hello again everyone, I am going to plunge straight in, forgive my rudeness, but I am DESPERATE. Fell off the Fly thread
when I couldn't keep up with my over-ambitious housework routine and now I am just overwhelmed with stuff that needs doing . Have had no respite from the kids for 10 days due to DHs mad work commitments, so need to do real baby baby steps to try to sort myself out.

To start I will: put dry laundry away and hang new load.

Janni · 31/03/2008 17:16

Lots of new names since I was last here
Bianca - you really have my sympathy about the nits. It must be hard with a girl. It's always DS1 who gets them and we just shave his head.

Feels good to get started again. Will clear table and kitchen surfaces now.

Bewilderbeast · 31/03/2008 18:29

Evening all,
Mum has just called and invited herself to lunch tomorrow..
So having thought I had finished for the day and would get some more done tomorrow looks like I will be burning the midnight oil intime for the "royal visit" as Dh calls it.

if any of you see me on MN tonight please kick me back to my ironing mountain...

dylsmum1998 · 31/03/2008 19:00

i know i've been in there before and the prices have been almost the same as buying new, but thought i'd be nosy as i was passing, was shocked and bought it quick!
havent tried to sell her anything though i usually give it to friends/family as everyone seems to be pregnant since i had dd . my sis is pregnant now and only needs to buy a pram as she has everything from dd

babyjjbaby · 31/03/2008 20:50

tortoise · 31/03/2008 20:53

Evening all.
Went to soft play palce with friends this morning. Haven't really had time to do much else. But so much needs doing! I can't let the babysitter see all this mess when she comes friday even though it is a friends 15yr old DD! means i need to do bedrooms too!

Also have agreed to let DS1 have a few friends round the day after his birthday next week so must clean and tidy before then. Do 10/11 yr olds still want party bags? And what do i put in them if they do?
