Morning!

Ludaloo · 08/03/2008 08:37

Morning Jas

Morning to all who follow too

House is a sty this morning. I wasn't home all day yesterday. We had a trip with the nursery in the morning, then I went back to a friends house, and before I knew it, it was time to pick the kids up. I then went to keep fit last night.

So...as a result, will need to spend some time this morning tidying.

Have to go and do a food shop too at some stage.

catch you all in a while

Ludaloo · 08/03/2008 08:38

YARRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!

Grouchyoscar · 08/03/2008 10:35

Morning

EHM Ed has had Peter and the Wolf as a nightime story on CD since he was tiny. David Bowie is reading it which is fairly cool really. He does like it and his dad is so impressed that Ed also likes Ziggy Stardust at night too but that is a different story.

TMH The weekend also means let DH help more which is good for me too. I love DS1's choice of recovery dinner BTW

Ruby I'm with you there on the weekend

Morning and welcome Kitten Ed (DS BTW) would have loved the hoppy frog (So would I tbh )

I am (adopts Primrose Flowertot voice) Not having a good day . I have had 3 nights of painful legs and today every joint in them is in burning agony. I know it's just non existant pain due to the MS but it's well nasty. Lots of painkillers and I'm staying in bed today. DH is at football, Ed's gran is having him today, I did my weekend jobs yesterday so, I can stop TBH.

Oh, yesterday my Top FLY job was cleaning the inside and outside of Ed's bedroom window! The window cleaner can't reach it safely so I was leaning out with a soapy cloth, a squeegy and a load of newspaper. It's not perfect but a hell of a lot better than it was.

Good news...I've got another interview and my task for it is to read a story to 4-5 year olds {Ed's age and my favorite job!} Any suggestions for great stories will be greatfully received.

I'll be around all day so see you soon

Hello Jas Luda BWB and Dame

intravenouscoffee · 08/03/2008 10:43

Morning all and welcome to all newbies Just caught up on yesterday's thread. No time yesterday, DD feeling a bit rough with her cough and cold so very clingy all day. Seems better this morning tho' and full of energy, unlike me!

Dame those photos are fantastic, you look lovely. What a nice keepsake of your pregnancy. I have a truly horrible photo of me two weeks before my due date in a bright red t shirt and very unattractive sunhat looking much like a beached whale so am v !

Right, have been out and bought washing powder so that washing can get underway. Quiet day today although I need to vacuum round the house and get some extra food in as it's DD's christening tomorrow and the family are descending en masse. Luckily, because I'm a keen flyer these days the house generally looks okay so I'm not running round like a thing posessed panicking about the state of the bathroom.

Hope you're all well and the EHM's frosties are settling in well to their new home.

Ludaloo · 08/03/2008 10:58

"Oh, Fiddly Flowerpetals" GO ! Your night sounds horrible
No seriously, I hope the pain subsides soon, rest up xxxx
Good luck on the interview (Its sounds fun actually!) How about "The Gruffolo" (is it called that? I can't remember...but my kids love the gruffolo.

Hi IV

Right...my list!

~S&S Bathroom

~Occupy 3 small children on a horrible rainy day, so I can actually do my list!DONE (All watching Spongebob, playing with bricks and eating Frubes!)

I may leave the living room for a bit....they are all in there being very good, so I'd better not start clucking around!

TheMadHouse · 08/03/2008 11:17

There is a couple of books that are fantastic:

Choo choo clickerty clack
Emergency Emergeny
Dig dig digging
Scaredy Squirrell

Diggers are good at dig gig digging
Scooping up the earth and lifting and tipping
They make huge holes with their dig dig digging
They can work all day

Choo choo and Emergecy are along the same lines with really good rythym.

Scaredy Squicrrel is about a squirel that never leaves his nut tree as it is way too dangerous, he could encounter germs or sharks. But if danger comes along he is well prepared with his antiback soap, paracute and plasters. It is funny and quite clever and all about his adventure when forced out of his tree

Grouchyoscar · 08/03/2008 11:27

Oh thanks TMH and Luda the only one I don't have is the squirrel one! I was going to take 'the Gruffalo' as I love it too. The task is 10 mins and i COULD/WOULD do it ALL day

THM thanks for the posts on the Health thread BTW. I'm sure we share a parrellel universe as we have so many simillarities (Visits to NRM, live in Yorks, DSs who fall downstairs, awfully annoying legs, fighting talk, Eels etc etc!)

If I dont I'll just

Grouchyoscar · 08/03/2008 11:31

and THM I have

Dig Dig Digging
Choo choo clicketty clack
Emergency (read it this week 'Help is coming, it's on the way'! I got it for 40p from a charity shop )

I'm invading your life!
