Morning. Am i really the 1st? Never started thread before.

Stupid dog woke me at 7 with his barking! Been nearly every morning. I think it coincides with the boiler starting up fot the heating. I guess he associates that with us getting up on school days.

Today, i need to see if there is any school clothes still to wash and dry. i know PE kits have been washed.

Lip is still very sore.

Have a good Saturday everyone.

Morning Tort.

DD1 has asked if she can spend some time with just me today so might take her into town for shopping and cake later.

Have a nice weekend everyone.

tortoise · 23/02/2008 07:34

Morning FGS Have a good trip into town.

BiancaCastafiore · 23/02/2008 07:43

Morning Tort and FGS

Hope you have a good day today Tort
FSG enjoy your time with dd1

I'm off to work soon, then plan to come home and start decorating dds bedroom (just the woodwork really as it's never been done since her room was built - almost 5 years ago!!)
The kids are away over night at PiL for a sleep-over so the plan is to get dds room looking a little more finished off and grown up ready for her coming home tomorrow afternoon. The stickers from next arrived yesterday they look good but I'm a bit daunted by putting them up, it's quite a fiddly design!

Anyway, had better go, have to leave fro work in an hour.

Have a good day everyone

BiancasBIGGESTfanEVER · 23/02/2008 08:02

Morning All

Bianca Sorry about MSN yesterday! Just logged on to say Hi, and my next door neighbour knocked, and then DH came in, in a rage and had to phone DHL, as he was having courier stress! So hee needed to computer to find his order.
By the time he had finished it was time to pick the kids up, then we went to get fish and chips for dinner, then I went to keep fit!....so I'm sorry...I didn't mean to ignore you!
Hope you have a good day at work, and good luck with DD's room

I have to do a food shop today, and give the house a once over.

I feel like I need to start doing my Spring Cleaning really....
I might make a Spring Cleaning List...and work through it over the next week.

Morning Tort, FGS and Bianca. Am so desperate for the thread this weekend as we've been away and I just don't know where to start! Have got to get them to swimming lessons and a birthday party this morning and have already held pre-breakfast diplomatic talks to prevent war erupting .

OK, break it down.

  1. Get dressed
  2. Prep swimming things, invitation, present, address book, cash, shampoo
  3. DD meds
  4. make sure kids are dressed

IGNORE THE MESS to get out of the house on time!

Have a good morning all.

tortoise · 23/02/2008 08:42

wow Luda that is a great list. I might try and do it too!

OP posts:
tortoise · 23/02/2008 08:58

Maybe getting dressed would be a good start too! And then get DD's clothes and walk Mickey!

RubyAndgoNumberOneFan · 23/02/2008 09:12

Morning all. Just a quick post as I need to wake dd up and have lots to do today.

This is of parenthood once you've got more than one child, isn't it? "have already held pre-breakfast diplomatic talks to prevent war erupting". Another truth there too Janni "IGNORE THE MESS to get out of the house on time!"

FGS Poor you with the insomnia. £1 per window sounds like an easy way of charging but on the steep side too.

Ok. Must dash. See you later!

Ludaloo · 23/02/2008 09:40

Hello
Tort Join in too, we'll see how we get on

Well Kitchen is first!

tortoise · 23/02/2008 09:58

Ok dressed now and so are DD's!
Will walk Mickey then start by washing up.

OP posts:
intravenouscoffee · 23/02/2008 10:06

Morning all. Luda - list looks v organised and impressive. I'm still working through my random cleaning acts but they are becoming fewer and further between

Thank you for the many kind ofers to pop round to your houses and work out some of my enthusiasm on kitchen floors etc but I think I'll stick to my own place. Still haven't unpacked the spare room since we moved 2 months ago and keep hiding things in there that I can't find anwhere to put. Needs a proper sort out but I think I'll finish my babysteps first.

Anyway, good morning so far. DD is down for a nap and I'm up to date with morning routine and washing. Put the WM on a timer last night so the first load was already done when I got up which was a lovely bonus. Will do that again I think.

Right, better go. Have a friend coming over for coffee and a gosspip while DH is at work. See you all later

tortoise · 23/02/2008 10:54

Dog has had a good walk so i really had better start on the kitchen!
Luda I am sure you will achieve far more than me i am just useless at house work!

Morning FLYers

Nice to have a fan

Doing as little as possible this weekend. I do lots during the week and it never seems to be appreciated or even noticed so why should I bother?

I'm also going for a manicure today as my hands are all rough and battered

Spent this morning looking for the cover to Ed's greenhouse which had blown away. Ed said to his dad 'mummy's finding the green for my little house' awh, sweet. Also refilled the birdfeeder and the greedy things have eaten half of it already. Spotted a great tit this morning and no it wasn't the next door neighbour's son.

TO DO

Tidy front room
Vac downstairs
Vac staircase and landing
Mop downstairs
Mop bathroom
Dust bedroom
Dust mantlepiece
Put dry washing away

Ed going to his Grandma's this aft so I should have a good run at it.

Have great days y'all

I've been out all morning, and dd2 is just back from a party, but your lists are inspiring Ludaloo (and Tortoise) so I will try and do them too

TheMadHouse · 23/02/2008 14:25

Afternoons all. We have been out all morning, so today I would like to:

Iron
do more sorting of the spare room.

I took 5 black bags to the charity shop, dropped 4 of at SIL's this morning for Baby L (who is doing really well, although the long term prognosis is not known yet) and have one for another friend who I will nor see till Friday next week.

Plan is to get all done and room painted for the arrival of the buncks second week in March, then transfer DS1 in to there, DS2 into DS1 old room and turn DS2's room into a home office/spare so that DH can work from home when I am having my operations.

I see the gyny cons on the 14 March - ekkk
