Ugh. I don’t have a rub in the fridge - I have a TUB in the fridge!!

Swisschris · 07/05/2023 23:36

Ive been looking for the same thing. I use butter for baking but for spreading I use Flora. There is a tub on Amazon , a JUDGE stainless steel container for 500g tubs. I am going to send for one as fed up with lids breaking.

WhiskerPatrol · 05/01/2024 23:43

Just placemarking here as my mum wants the exact same thing as OP (found thread via Google).

Also wanted to say that all the bitchy butter snobs can get to fuck. Why do MNers do this? Someone posts a perfectly reasonable thread asking for a specific thing that they've already decided they want/need and there's a minority of arseholes who can't wait to try and tl then their taste is shit and put them down. Are you really so insecure that you have to try and use fucking butter as some sort of superiority indicator? Pathetic.

Another one here for Lurpak in a tub is not butter, a butter dish is a must, Cruset owner here (tk maxx special) and under 80!

The big divide - butter or not butter, butter dish or no butter dish, over 80 or under 80!

Minewasthesame · 06/01/2024 00:08

You don’t put spreadable butter in a dish. Normal butter goes in a dish and lives outside of the fridge so it’s always spreadable. Cut the oat into 1/3 if you don’t use that much butter.

Minewasthesame · 06/01/2024 00:09

*Pat not oat!

Including the tub?! Like a tissue box cover? Or a loo roll skirt dolly?
This.

rockstarshoes · 06/01/2024 15:25

The only reason I have a butter dish is to keep the cat off it! 🤣

Swisschris · 06/01/2024 19:44

Just bought a Judge stainless steel butter holder from Amazon for £17.99.
Tub fits in well, take off the lid, as it has a lid with it. Looks nicer than bri gi g a tub out from the fridge. Hope this he.ps.

Mumaway · 06/01/2024 19:46

Just take a clean and empty tub to TK maxx/Dunelm/JL and see what fits. It might not be a traditional butter dish.

Yes, that's the idea. But for butter/spread.
