Morning Shanna

No work for me today so unsuprisingly I woke up early as usual ! Dh has taken ds downstairs to watch telly while I lie in but I can't get back to sleep so am lurking around MN instead
Dd has her tennis lesson at 9 then we have SiL coming over later in the day. We might fit in a swim but then again we might not Not much else planned and hopefully not much else to do, I like having lazy weekends now I have more of a routine to all the domestic stuff.

Hope you have a nice walk today Tort and that dd2 gives the whinging a rest

Shannaratiger · 09/02/2008 08:07

Caution this post is really long and prattling.
Grouchy & Bianca DD won't even get into our bed even when it's freezing, just wants to fall asleep on top of DP's tummy
Luda hope you're feeling abit better this morning & managed to get some sleep last night.
TMH hope you get the TD sorted soon, i'm going to try and get ours outside today as have towels & jeans. Brilliant news about Baby L, hope everything keeps improving.
EHM if i had the money i would be straight on the phone, you're never sure if these things are worth it until you get a personal recommendation, or maybe i've been watching to much rogue traders
Ruby hope youre foot is feeling slightly less painful today. i know just what you mean about men, DP is just the same

Was thinking whilst strirring the porridge this morning that one of the reason i am still being really rubbish at FLYing is because i haven't decluttered mine adn DP's clothes. You know the situation, Christmas/ birthday open present lovinlg chosen by family and it's clothes. I look at them they fit BUT you know you won't wear them. Do you

a) smile, say thank you it's lovely and add to the unwanted clothes in wardrobe or

b) say thank you but i really need eg. a pair of jeans that don't have holes in, so would you mind if i change it?
Bearing in mind i have a lovely family who wouldn't be upset adn sulk for weeks if i chose b but I still always worry about offending them and therefore chose a WHY? i now worry that if i declutter adn send them to the charity shop that 6 months down the line they will ask where is that jumper from last christmas, have never seen you wearing it? all those people who CAN chose b.

Anyway sorry about the long waffly post, am going to really tey and attack the clothes. Will report back later about the number of bin liners have filled and how much empty space i now have

Antway DD has now got up and wants breakfast adn the w/m has finished.

Morning shannar I am feeling a little better thank you...I didn't sleep great, but slept better than the night before, so that's a plus
I am just the same as you...I always just smile and say thank you...and put it in the back of the wardrobe! Good luck with the declutter

Hi bianca sounds like you have a perfect lazy saterday...hope you enjoy it

Morning to all who follow too

I have to get the kids dressed and then go and do the weekly food shop. The cupboards are bare!

My friend and I are swopping the kids around and having another sleepover tonight...so she gets my DS and I get her DD1.
We are on half term now until next Tuesday....so shall be trying to fill the week up with activities!

Right...off to sort the little ones out, and head off into town. It is another sunny day too, so maybe we could find a park on the way

BiancaCastafiore · 09/02/2008 08:44

Shanna dh and I both had clothes fr Chritmas which either don't fit or are just simply not a style/colour we'd ever wear...I've had them sitting in a heap since Christmas until last week when I'd had enough and took them back to the shops to exchage for things we will wear. I've done option a) too many times in the past! I didn't mention to PiL that'd I've exchanged them (no-where needed a receipt as I wasn't asking for a refund) so I just hope we don't get asked where the clothes have gone!
Good luck with the clear-out!

BiancaCastafiore · 09/02/2008 08:47

Morning all

Luda I am glad you are feeling better
Bianca Enjoy your lazy weekend
Shanna Decluttering sounds good. I need to do that with the spare room.

DH let me have a lie in this morning which was lovley - all morning routines done and I came down to a train track the size of the conservatory at 9.30.

He has been and had the tires changed on his car, as they were desperate and we are still waiting for the TD man. So we are watching Toy Story 2. I have order Ratatoille from Play.com and it is out on Monday. The boys love the Pixar ones, we only need Bugs Life now. We have it on vidoe, but no longer have one

tortoise · 09/02/2008 12:27

Afternoon all.

Had a nice walk in the field with DD's! Got very muddy and nearly lost wellies in the mud! I had to take my foot out and pull while standing on one foot. Was getting a bit worried that we would need help lol!

DD's now in the bath cleaning off and muddy clothes are being washed. Load of washing on the line too.

Need to wash girls wellies in a min too. Mine aren't as bad as theirs!

BiancaCastafiore · 09/02/2008 12:57

Sounds like a great walk Tort
We are stuck in playing Lego Star Wars with ds!
Hoping for a walk to the park with SiL later
