Corner sofas - are they naff? I think we might have to have to get one...

Our sofas are really knackered and need replacing, and as we've never been able to arrange the room to our liking we think a corner sofa might solve the problem. But some of the ones I've seen are hideous beyond words, and I want the room a classy room. Can they be chic?

We have a corner sofa which we always wanted, and we've had it a couple of years and even though we don't actually have a corner we love it! It's so comfy and cosy for the 4 of us (including kittycat) to sit on!

Get the biggest one your room will take, they are so comfy & you can rest with your feet up, nurse baby etc, There are lots to choose from.

We have a kind of corner sofa, it's basically a chaise longe type thing with an extra chair I suppose, Its nowhere near as comfy as our old sofa, Two people can lay down on it at once thoguh which is good.

cod is 4m x 5m huge enough?

Our house isn't big enough, but on holiday last year we stayed in an apartment with a corner sofa that was about 6' each way - it was fab. I don't care if they are naff, I'd have one if we had the space.

we have a large open plan, living/dining room and works very well

Tissy I love those 70s photo wallpaper backdrops. Mazing that you are so 70s retro with your backdrop and then so boldly nineties with your corner suite. Is the artisitc irony intentional or something that just says: Hey, this is us in our room?

We havethis one, which is incredibly comfortable & allows me to stretch out (I never sit on a sofa)& I don't think it's particularly naff - but then I don't really go for the 'classy' look either, as is probably obvious from my picture.
The dead muppet cushions on the other hand are irredeemably naff - but I just like them. I probably have a teddy bear fetish...

I try to pretend the dead muppets are ironical, but suspect I just have bad taste.
(But they are very soft & cuddly)

We almost got one from Habitat, but ended up with something completely different. I still like it though. Naff or not

Ours is simalar to this but bigger it can fit about 8 people on it not naff at all we love it

bogie - ours is about a similar size, but all leather. they are def not naff!
