Rustybear - you need lime not salt. That was the mistake. lime will eat the body quickly. Hence planting a lime tolerant plant on top.

euoooeuoeuooeeuouoooo!!

and how long would that stay fresh do you reckon?

p.s. just got the 'tout looking fishy' - very slack!

not any more, Scattyb,

My old mackerel has been dispensed (via a marigolded hand) to the dustbin! I feel liberated, clean, renewed, invigorated, frisky....

like a woman with no hint of fishworm

(I may not be able to sleep tonight after this thread, but at least my food hygiene has been restored).

Splendid - well now I will be able to rest easy !! I'm off to bed now !! (DH glaring at me for giggling !!!!)

Rusty - you need calcium oxide, not calcium hydroxide. However a good alternative is cement powder with some extra calcium hydroxide thrown in. Best cover story is 'I have a cesspit which stinks' You don't need her actual weight btw, just a good six inches all the way round, since the body is 70% water.

note to self: stay away from Good Housekeeping thread in future.

My MiL is alive (although not well) though so you don't have to worry

I have a rather unhealthy curiosity and attract talkative nutters!

pankhurst · 28/01/2008 22:22

...talkative nutters...?

you're not wrong there!

am going to sleep now, but shall think fondly of you all on the morrow.
