X Post Jen

How old is DS2?

I have a tomy tippe thing that we used for DS2, which is a cross between a bottle and a cup - I am more than happy to post to you, as we have no more use of it.

Mum is still feeling sorry for herself and I have posted an update on Little L update

Morning TMH and thanks for the thread

I still have ds off school poorly. He's been really quite poorly over-night
Dd has gone to school but was complaining her throat hurt (there was no evidence of this though...) Hopefully she'll be OK.

I'm feeling very tired and run down so am hoping for a lazy-ish day today. I've just set up the ironing board so am going to get the ironing out of the way then I have a story sack to make for the school

The bathroom is a bit of a no-go zone at the moment after we discovered water had been leaking under the bath and has started to make the ceiling paper bubble in the living room! The bath panel is now off and there are several towels soaking up the water under the bath! This may be the shove we need to finally get the bathroom finished off properly (it's been almost 5 years since we added it onto the house and it's still bare plaster!) We just don't have the £ at the moment
Anyway, the mission is out of the question for the time being, but will need doing once dh has investigated further.

I sorted dds desk earlier in the week (or was it last week?) and ds doesn't really have room to accomodate a hotspot so I can skip that mission too

Hope everyone is well - see you later x

Morning All

TMH thanks for the thread & links
jingleyJen We had the same problem with ellie. So we tried several cups. The only one she would drink from is an Easiflow Insulated (12 months +) Tommmee Tippee. Good luck with that. Although she will have her milk at night from a bottle?

Had rubbish day yesterday, very weepy. Then had sad news about my friends dad. THe hospis & macmillian nursers where being brought in. Then last night he was admitted to hospital with breathing difficulties. I so saddened by this

Anyway I must get a grip, read yesterdays thread & get on with it today! Hope you & your lo's are all ok

sorry about double post. ellie was trying to help
isaidno enjoy your duster
FGS enjoy your duvet day.[Smile] hope dd1 is feeling less poorly?

JingleyJen · 18/01/2008 09:43

DS2 is 14 months, I wasn't in a hurry to get rid of bottles but he is getting frustrated with the slow flow of the Tommee tippee bottles.
We have a nuby sippycup he just seems to play with the spout. Argh!

I am pleased there is some positive news about the little man will continue to pray for him and your family.

Hope your Mum isn't driving you mad today.

Morning everyone

ehm sorry to hear about your sad news Sending you happy vibes for today.

House is remarkably tidy! Going to do a bit of work with the girls (dd3 and dd4's reading coming on a treat). dd1 and dd2 have being doing a bit of Geography and actually enjoying it so think they may continue with that today.

Also have another exhibition starting in two weeks but it has to be all new artworks. So have set myself the task of having two new paintings to submit. Better start the first one today. Haven't got the faintest idea what they are going to be though...

Best get on. Have a good day everyone. It's FRIDAY YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!

Grouchyoscar · 18/01/2008 11:41

Hello Ladies

THM Thanks for the link re Little L

DDIBI It's a Kirby, and a recon at that. They are expensive but very worth it. We had one for 12 years and DH killed it by hoovering up a sock in his office (FFS). We looked at others but we'd been spoilt and nothing felt as good so We went pricy again . MIL spends about £250 every 2 years or so on vacs that burn out, break up etc so in the scheme of things the Kirby isn't a bad investement really.

Hark at me, prattling on about a vac!

DH is at home atm so I intend to take it well steady. Ed is at school, Coffee morning attended. Morning routine done. I'm listening to my body and I need to STOP and CHILL OUT

DH went to Tesco to get supplies and he says he'll collect Ed so no panic and I can just potter. Listening to Arcade Fire and it is pretty good stuff.

Grouchyoscar · 18/01/2008 11:43

Oh, good vibes to EHM and her friends and family

TheMadHouse · 18/01/2008 11:45

Cleaned kitchen

hot spotted living room

Am out tonight (pta "christmas" dinner) so want to leave house tidy so dh can't complain I'm swanning off with my mates again

Yaddayah · 18/01/2008 11:47

and good vibes for ehm from me too

BiancaCastafiore · 18/01/2008 12:05

I'm still plodding through the ironing - there's not that much of it really but I've been interupted constantly by ds needing one thing afer another! He so has me wrapped around his finger!

I've manged to find another mum to bring dd home from school so that's a weight off my mind.

EHM I missed the news about your friends dad earlier, sorry to hear about it x x
yadda think ceiling is still sound thank goodness, but we need to seal the bath (well, we need to source the leak first, we think it's from the over-flow - we all like deep baths )

Better go and make ds some lunch - he thinks he'd like a boiled egg....

gibberish · 18/01/2008 12:41

Off to horseriding in a sec,

Been frantically raking through our photos for inspiration for the two paintings I have to do...

If anyone has some nice photos that I could use for reference material, I would be so so so SO grateful! Would give you a print of the painting once it is done...
