tort Absolutely love the first one - is that your dd? I mean the one with the big puddle. Will make a fab painting

Think I am going to use that one and one of TMH's landscapes as the second pic.

Then will do the cat, the clifs, Egypt, the penguins, and the tree That should keep me busy for a while! Thanks so much everyone.

gibberish · 18/01/2008 19:05

Or the cliffs even...

I've eaten too many dried figs, and my digestive system is complaining... sorry tmi.

tortoise · 18/01/2008 19:28

Thats DD2 about a year ago. Glad you like it.

gibberish · 18/01/2008 20:33

It's great. Will send you a print once it's done

JingleyJen · 18/01/2008 20:43

so ladies having spent the afternoon scanning photo's for Gibberish I have fallen in love again with the photo's I took on our honeymoon
if anyone fancies a gander look here
Sorry for the blatant lack of Fly content to this post but just wanted to share cheeky

Janni · 18/01/2008 20:46

Gibberish - that dinner sounds fab and well done for making time for something for you. I'm really into music but just do not make time for it, shame really.

Grouchy - so glad your LO is happy at school. Makes a mum's life much easier!

Well, have started on the wine and TV and have postponed the kids' homework till tomorrow . Am going to put out our photos in frames which have been boxed up since we moved in the summer - that's a nice job, so don't mind doing it .

Going to surf MN first though!

gibberish · 18/01/2008 20:54

JJ Your photos are just great. Got all emotional looking at the newborn pics Especially love the one of your dh holding the baby up to his face. Beautiful. Still looking through them.

gibberish · 18/01/2008 20:57

Janni do you play an instrument? I play the violin. Not as much as I should though.. but am teaching two of my girls.

JingleyJen · 18/01/2008 20:59

I thought the link just went to the honeymoon photo's sorry! - and thanks

gibberish · 18/01/2008 21:02

Goodness don't blush! The pics are gorgeous. Your little ones are just beautiful

BiancaCastafiore · 18/01/2008 21:06

Jen I am also really enjoying your photos What a gorgeous family!

Janni · 18/01/2008 21:07

Gibberish - the instrument I love is the piano and I have done a bit of teaching, but not since DD came along. My DS1 is learning though, so I help him with his practice. I can also play the cello and guitar, but I NEVER get them out. I'm hoping that by getting my household routine more in order I'll make time for it. I did play the piano last week more than I have done for a long time, so there is hope.

tortoise · 18/01/2008 21:08

Jen Your photos are lovely.

gibberish · 18/01/2008 21:09

That's good. It's a shame that we don't make more time for these things. I only got back to playing and painting about 3 years ago, when my youngest turned 3. Before then it was impossible. Still don't have enough time to devote to music and art, but it's getting better.

I love the cello

BiancaCastafiore · 18/01/2008 21:17

I'd love to get back into playing music and doing more srty crafty stuff too. I used to play Euphonium and piano
I do some arts and crafts with the school but nothing just for me....

BiancaCastafiore · 18/01/2008 21:18

I'd like to buy a piano so dd can learn (she's quite keen) but we haven't any spare £ at the mo....maybe some time in the future though

gibberish · 18/01/2008 21:20

It's good for you to be able to do something just for you bianca. I'd love to have learned the piano too. My dad played but we never had a piano.

You can pick up piano's second hand fairly cheaply can't you?

gibberish · 18/01/2008 21:21

Where did that apostrophe come from?

BiancaCastafiore · 18/01/2008 21:25

I am tempted to buy a couple of sketch books to take on holiday, I'm thinking I can watch the kids play and sketch at the same time....

tortoise · 18/01/2008 21:25

I have seen people get pianos from Freecycle. Worth a try!
I can't play any instrament.

tortoise · 18/01/2008 21:26

Sketch books sound a great idea.

gibberish · 18/01/2008 21:26

Great idea Or you can sketch them while they are sleeping and you are having a glass of well deserved vino.

BiancaCastafiore · 18/01/2008 21:28

I have no idea what/if I can sketch any more but at least it's something for me.
I like mosaic too.

gibberish · 18/01/2008 21:29

It's like anything else though - practice makes perfect. You'll soon get back into it. Never tried mosaic!

BiancaCastafiore · 18/01/2008 21:31

I've only ever done mosaic at an eve class but enjoyed it
Think I could get back into sketching if I made an effort to
