FunkyGlassSlipper · 09/01/2008 08:24

I'm not having a good week. Anyone who likes shopping then please help me out

Morning routine done.

DD1 at pre-school today. Jas - I hadnt heard of colic in older children either. She's fine. The pain just comes and goes.

DD2 has injections today. Joy of joys. She is just about better from all of her colds and coughs and now she'll get ill again

Good Morning.

Morning Routine done

We are off out to a soft play this morning and we are going to get lunch there and then the boys are having a trim. But only to stop it getting in their eyes. I think haircuts are for older ones and my two coundnt stay still long enough anyway.

FGSI also need a rug, although I want a bright pink one. we have a play rug for the children from Ikea, it is great rubber backed and goes in the washer - no bother

Tort I hope you are feeling more up today, I know how hard it can be when family are a long way away (we moved to be closer)

Oh and I did the mission on my mad kitchen clean on Monday

BiancaCastafiore · 09/01/2008 09:11

FGS I have answered your thread
Tort hope you feel better today - do nudge me if you need some complany any eves - I was just doing dull work last night, would've welcomed a break
TMH Have a fun time at soft play place

I need to finish my work from yesterday then begin my task of tackling the utility room. Today I will iron and sort through my basket of odd socks etc
We had a new toaster for Christmas so it's already all clean...I don't really keep/have many other kitchen gadgets so the mission is an easy one for me today.

Going into school in about an hour so I'd better get the morning routine finished first.
Back later x

ludaloo · 09/01/2008 09:16

We had NO Tears this morning!!!! Hooorah!!
He very cheerfully showed me his new drawer with his name on, and his new favorite toy...a big castle...gave me a hug and told me he loved me, then went off to play!!

I cannot believe it! I have had months and months of tears!

DD2 is not so happy, she was sick in the night and has very bad diorreah
(Bianca and Simply...I really hope we haven't passed anything on I really thought we were over it all....my sincerest apologies if we have)

I stripped her bed in the middle of the night, and that load is already in the dryer, a huge towel load has gone in now.
Poor lamb, she seems very quiet and hasn't eaten a thing since lunch time yesterday.

Well better get on, lots to clean up!

BiancaCastafiore · 09/01/2008 09:18

yay Luda that's brilliant! (ds going in with no tears, not dd2 being sick!)
No signs of any sickness here yet...don't worry about it

TheMadHouse · 09/01/2008 09:23

I am so please that you had no tears Luda

JingleyJen · 09/01/2008 09:24

Morning all.

GREAT news Ludaloo no tears that is brilliant!
Not so good on the runnybum front through - lots of snuggles how old is DD2?

Enjoy your sock sorting Bianca - I find it really satisfying once a month to pair them all back up!

I love our local softplay place TMH hope you have fun

FGS - hope today is a better day

DS1 at school DS2 about to go for a nap
morning stuff done so really have to fill in Tax return this morning!!
Lunch is sorted anyone got inspiration for dinner I have lamb chops and potatoes.

See y'all later

gibberish · 09/01/2008 09:29

Aw luda that's brilliant! What a relief for you Ugh about the sickness though...

I have about 3 million things to do. Got the WHOLE house to do from top to bottom, do a load of work with the girls in between times, change my new hoover nozzle as it is broken, sort out my phone contract (my phone has just given up) and decorate my bedroom. That should keep me out of trouble!

Be back after breakfast with my enormous list. x

ludaloo · 09/01/2008 09:29

Thanks Bianca, TMH and JJ

DD2 is nearly 2 1/2 years. She is snuggled up on the sofa at the mo.

Hello al

I'm not caugh up wiht the thread, but need to post so I don't lose you all.

I have to empty the bedroom today for dp to plaster the ceiling and new wall. Lots of mess - I don' know if regular plasterers make this much mess, but dp does quite a good job if I spend the day cleaning up behind him, and he is free

Grouchyoscar · 09/01/2008 11:07

Morning you lovely lot

Feel like I've been chasing my tail all morning. Managed to get my morning routines done, action all but 2 of my notes and have a mental meltdown as every room has a hot spot of some description

I've sanded down the polyfiller from yesterday. I've realised I've set myself a big job tho. The undercoating is a doddle, bish bash bosh Jamie Oliver does the decorating type thing. It's the gloss based top coat that I'm fretting about (16 hrs drying time etc etc) I'll just tackle it in small stages.

I've noticed things that should be done eg dusting, ironing. I think FLY has got to me.

Ed managed to rip the front of his shoes yesterday. I've come to the conclusion that anything other than Clarks is false economy for bigfoot and we will be heading to the shopping mall after school. It means I'll have to put having my haircut off til next month. Never mind

With Ed at school I can catch up on listening to music which I haven't done for AGES I'm listening to Richard Hawley at the moment. God it's fantastic.

Right, better crack on. Steady Away as our posty says

FunkyGlassSlipper · 09/01/2008 11:07

Thanks for the ideas everyone.

EHM - I dont think we are covered on the insurance for this tyoe of mishap. Need to check.

Luda - well done on lack of tears from DS.

GO - Hope you had a great anniversary.
