I am SO SO SO FURIOUS!! See here

I know it's only a hoover but I am shaking with rage.

yaddayah · 09/01/2008 14:17

I would be too

Makes soothing white noise ... be icily calm in your letter though.

I hope you took the buggers name.
Also worth CC'ing to the manufacturer surely it MUST be under guarentee ?

Grouchyoscar · 09/01/2008 14:19

Had a huge stack of post-its on my control journal and I've done them ALL and all my missions too. Plus I've cleared 4 hotspots9I on landing, 2 in bathroom and 1 in bedroom) and done 2 5 min room rescues

I'm really proud of myself

I've got 15 mins then collect Ed and get his shoes I feel a bit woozy but I have achieved.

See you tomorrow

gibberish · 09/01/2008 14:21

thanks yadda. yes got his name, the little prat. got to get off computer for a bit but will be back on later.

have calmed down slightly lol.

BiancaCastafiore · 09/01/2008 14:24

gibberish hope it gets sorted!

I have only just got home from helping at school so will be abandoning all my plans to get the laundry doen till tomorrow. I will have a quick sort through but then must leave to walk the long way round to collect the kids (another new resolution)

Back later x

Grouchyoscar · 09/01/2008 14:25

I loathe the electrical retailers {grr} they are awful, the sell rubbish and give you poor service when the crap theyy sell proves it's crap.

Hope you go back and give em hell.

ludaloo · 09/01/2008 14:39

gibberish on your behalf!!! How annoying! I had a run in with an equally as jumped up little Barstool in Matalan, they are so up their own jacksy's its untrue. I would stomp back and speak with management.
GRRRRRRRRR!

EHM · 09/01/2008 14:44

gibberish hope you shoved the broken attachment up his bum!

Janni · 09/01/2008 14:45

Thanks EHM - I had truly forgotten the mess toddlers can make in five mins. I thought my 3 year old was bad!! Gibberish - bad luck, hope it gets sorted and that the furies of MN have inspired you!

Now, can only face something brainless, so on with that mending. Poor DD has spent a bit too much time in front of The Wiggles DVD today, but I'm just so lacking in energy and it's FREEZING outside!

ludaloo · 09/01/2008 15:00

Kelly what are you doing to me woman!!?

Just decided to de-crumb the toaster as mission says....Oh my flippin gawd! There was masses of crumbs! Shook it upside down over the bin, turned it the right way and shook it, took the tray out and shook again...half way back to the side board, another load tipped out, so quickly tipped the toaster the other way....more poured out! ARRGGHHHH all over the kitchen!
How many crumbs can one toaster hold FGS!

[sigh]....now I have to hoover...again!

gibberish I would give today's mission a miss, given your current vaccum cleaner trauma!

ludaloo · 09/01/2008 15:17

Janni and EHM I can relate to toddler annoyance....I've just descovered my washing machine on a completely different cycle setting to the one I put on half an hour ago....and the dishwasher is currently washing 2 plates, 3 knives, 1 cup and my oven gloves!

ludaloo · 09/01/2008 16:06

Well done BTW GO Take it easy now, and put your feet up

Janni · 09/01/2008 16:21

OK feeling a bit better now. Got a bit of shopping and school pick-up to do, then an easy tea, homework supervision and after that we'll see!

ludaloo · 09/01/2008 16:50

Homework all done here...both of them had it, and DS was particularly keen to do it (but as DD1 proves...the keenness won't last!)
They have come home with a note to say they MUST read every night (we do read before bed, but not school reading books) They also have a new rule that they MUST NOT speak English at school, otherwise they have to stay in at break time! (I was worried about this as DS knows minimal welsh, but it only applies to year 1 and up...) so DD1 isn't supposed to speak any English...but she told me she has to, otherwise she can't speak to DS! makes me wonder if that is an entirely practical rule.
All these new rules...you can tell its the start of term!

TheMadHouse · 09/01/2008 17:00

evening all

I am currently getting the boys tea ready. We had a lovley morning at softplay and they really enjoyed themselves and were very good. we then went and they had their hair trimmed and again were very good.

Came home and played with the new presents my mum has got them a keyboard and drumkit - they loved them and then DS1 asked if we could have a cuddle in my bed as he was cold and we all fell asleep and have only just woke up - eekkkk (It was only for an hour though)

I have made the pastry for the pie, but will make it later and we can all have it tomorrow instead.

gibbersh they have to take it back, do not let them fob you off - prants

waves to everyone else

FunkyGlassSlipper · 09/01/2008 17:10

Luda - when I was 5, my brother and I went to a Welsh school for a few months when staying with grandparents. We knew no welsh at all and they had the 'no english' rule. It meant no-one spoke to me and was very isolating.
I remember how to say hello and count from 1-8 in welsh but that's it...

Hi all,

Busy day; only just logged onto pc.

FGS thanks for the list - I may copy that.

well must go and get mission done - although it shouldn't be too bad as I have had people in teh last 2 nights to give quotes on a new kitchen so I have given it a good clean already.

Shannaratinger · 09/01/2008 17:30

Evening all

Spent ages up at playschool because couldn't be bothered to spend 30mins walking home each way to only get 35 mins at home in order to be at new 'Sign adn Play' grp with DS, run in the same building. DS was very happy as he loves teh long corridor adn going in teh office smiling at everyone. I enjoyed learning some more Makaton signs, he wasn't overly interested , typical boy wanted t ocrawl around with the cars.

gibberish hope you get it sorted very soon.

How do you do a link between different threads?

yadda DD(4) adn DS(1)'s toys are also in theri bedrooms mainly under DS's cot, except 2 toy boxes.

Had better wake DS up

I am quite calm now lol. EHM yes I like that suggestion

Had a run in with my mobile company 3 (another story) right before we left to see Comet, so I think I was already wound up before I got there. Although I was very nice to prat boy - well until he proceeded to act like a twat that is.

Anyway, friend is going to go into the store with me tomorrow - and she is some force to be reckoned with so hopefully won't come home empty handed.

Have done all the house (fury is a great housework aid) and am going to sit down with a large vodka now

FunkyGlassSlipper · 09/01/2008 19:24
